8:32 am

(Ivan's POV)

"So how was the quest?" Qaid said as we walked out of the cabin.

"It was okay, mostly just us walking around, nothing really happened.

"How was the outside world? Anything change? I haven't been out of the camp in so long."

"I don't know! Everything looked the same to me."

"Oh."

"I did get a new weapon." I wonder if he knows where I can fix my sword. Is that possible?

"Lemme see!" I pull out my Retribution and, his eyes widen as a disappointed look appeared on his face. "I thought it would be better."

"I got it like that."

"It's... a bit dull."

"I know! I don't if it can be fixed. I liked the look of it." Qaid thought for a moment before replying.

"I do know this one place."

"Can you take me there? I really, really want to use this." Maybe I can finally use my sword! I wonder if they can make it better?

"I guess, but they're expensive. I don't even know if they know how to sharpen your blade."

"I might as well ask." Hopefully they can. I really liked this weapon! Qaid silently lead me a few cabins away from our's and knocked on a random cabin.

"Trevor! Trevor! You there!" The door quickly opened to reveal a the guy who lead me Alice's cabin the first time I got injured in the camp. I look up at him and realize how muscular he was. His muscles bulged out of his shirt. He stared down with a blank look at us.

"Yeah?"

"My brother wants to sharpen his sword." I forgot we were brothers. It feels weird just thinking about it. Especially since we don't look nothing like. I pull out Retribution and hand it over to Trevor. He inspected the weapon, he smacked his lips as he handed Retribution back to me.

"It's gonna cost alot, maybe 3673 rubles?" I don't have rubles. What are rubles anyway? I sigh and look up at him.

"I don't have any rubles."

"What a shame," Trevor said. He face brightened as he thought of an idea. "You have a laptop?"

"No, why?"

"Laptop is broken, I would sharpen your swords if you gave me a laptop." I nod silently. My eyes brightened as formed an idea. I have a bunch of money now! I can just get one!

"I can get one though."

"Alright." He slowly closed the door as he watched us through a crack in door. Once the door shut, me and Qaid walked off.

"You sure you can get a laptop? Only like one or two people in the camp have a laptop."

"I know where to get one."

"Oh, should be okay then."

8:45 am

I walk up to a random tree in the forest. I look around and made sure I wasn't being followed. This looks like a good spot. I bend down and take out a paper with Egyptian symbols on them. Where did Goldie even learn this stuff? I flatten out the paper and put a rock on each edge. How do I use it? I stand on the paper and snap my fingers. My vision instantly blurred, in an instant, I found myself back in my old room. I blink a few times before looking around. It really did teleport me. I need Goldie to teach me that. I walk out of my room and walk into the living room. Goldie was in fox form sleeping on the couch. I walk past couch and go towards the stairs. I suddenly remember about my new place and run back into my room. I grab the piece of paper and put it into my Inventory. I walk back into the living room. This time Goldie was staring me directly in the eye. I look away from her and walk past her. She got off from the couch and followed after me. What is she doing?

I put on a jacket before I walked up the stairs. Goldie waited by my side. The second I walked up the stairs, Goldie followed me. Why is she following me? I walk out of the tent with Goldie right by my side. I walk through snow. Where can I find a laptop? Maybe in that underground place? I know Apple sells them, but they're way too expensive. Maybe that underground place sells them, I should probably get a cheap laptop for him. Either way, it's not like he can complain about a laptop. I make my way to the dollar store . I suddenly feel a hand on my shoulder. I look up and see Goldie standing over me. Her tails were nowhere to been seen.

"Where are you going?"

"I don't know, just wondering around." Goldie shrugged and let go of my shoulder.

"Alright, I'll just follow you." I try my best to ignore her. Why would she follow me anyway? Does she literally have nothing else to do.

"Why are you following me though? Go do your own thing." I entered the corner store and heard a deep male voice behind me. I look behind me and see a tall, fit man following after me.

"I heard that you Jana almost killed you the first time you went to Magebourne. Just making sure you're safe."

"How did you even know I was coming here?"

"I can read minds." I enter the bathroom. I fly up and press the button. The wall opens and I step inside the elevator.

"You can?"

"Maybe." I roll my eyes at the response. I honestly can't tell if she can read minds or not.

"Why would you want to make sure I'm safe anyway?"

"You're a child. You should at least make it to twenty before dying."

"Why twenty?"

"That's fourteen years below the age where most people died."

"I'm pretty sure most people don't die at thirty four. Most people live to seventy four now." I suddenly hear a female voice. I look back and see Goldie was back in her normal form. Even her tails reappeared.

"Really? That's way too old for humans. I'm happy for them though." I smile as I think of a joke.

"I thought you were one of us? I always knew you were a fox." The joke backfired, mostly because I guess she didn't understand it.

"I'm a Kitsune. I'm not human. I like to think of myself as a human though." The elevator doors open. I step out of the elevator and walk in an random direction. I hear Goldie mutter, "Everything's so different now." Under her breath.

"Whatever." I ignore her as I walk. She just followed behind me quietly. I look around and notice a medieval style building. It looked way different from the rest of the buildings. Right on top of the door was a sign that said, "Learn the history of Magebourne today!" Why is there a museum here? I though it would be more like Las Vegas. Does Las Vegas even have museums? I look away and walk past the building. In the corner of my eye, I see Goldie walk up to the building before turning around and quickly chasing after me. I walk down the street and turn a corner. Goldie finally said something.

"So what are you looking for?"

"Like I said before, I'm just wondering around." Goldie rolled her eyes and pointed in the museums direction.

"I think the museum has a map." That would be helpful. Will it show me the stores though? Now that I think about I doubt it will, way too many places to list on a map.

"I'll go later."

"How about now?"

"I'm busy." Goldie huffed as I aimlessly wondered around the streets. I finally stumble across a store that simply had the name, "electronics." I wander into the store. My eyes widen as I saw how big the place was. There were these tiny green rectangles with weird metal pieces on them. I walk around and store until I find a isle filled with laptops. I look around until a price that seemed reasonable. It took awhile until I found a price tag of two hundred dollars. That seems expensive. I look at the price tag right next to it. My eyes widen as I saw the price was over thousand. Two hundred doesn't sound so bad now. I grab the box and look at the box.

"Is that good?" Goldie asked. I read the box. It the brand Samsung. They're popular right? I bet they're good.

"I think." Before I could put the box in my Inventory an eye suddenly appeared right in front of me. The eye wasn't big but it was definitely wasn't small. The corona was bloody red. It turned from side to side. Is it telling me not to put it in my Inventory? Is it supposed to be some sort of security? I guess stealing is out of the question now. I walk towards the cashier slowly. It was just a tiny bit heavy, it didn't really bother me. I just wish I had a better grip. The weight suddenly left my arms, Goldie took the box from my arms and looked at me with a smile.

"Lemme carry that for you."

"Thanks?" Why is she being so nice? She put the box under her armpit and walked by my side.

"This isn't even heavy. Are people this weak now?" I glare at her before responding.

"No I'm just weak."

"That's not an excuse. Either way you're a demigod, you have to be stronger."

"I'm doing fine so far."

"Yeah, so far. What happens when you run into a yokai that is powerful? You got lucky with me since I wasn't thinking right, you tricked Jana, and you got lucky with Anenoid. You can't keep relying on luck."

"I'm training in the camp, I think that's good enough." Goldie quickly shook her head.

"You have to be training everyday. Tomorrow I'll train you."

"Why do you care? We've known each other for like two days." Goldie breathed in and out.

"Do I really need a reason to care about someone? Especially when said person is a child?"

"It just doesn't make any sense. I wouldn't care about a random person, especially if the person killed me. In fact, I would hope that something bad would happen to them. I wouldn't want to protect them." Goldie looked at me with pity in her eyes.

"I know that some people need kindness in their lives so that they can keep on going, I don't know if you're one of those people." What was that supposed to mean?

"It's weird to be so abnormally nice, it's just too suspicious"

"I don't think I'am. I'am just being myself." I shake my head and keep on walking to the cashier.

"C'mon, I just want to go back home."I walk through a isle and a bright blue box catches my eye. It had this tiny little device with buttons on the side. It had the word PS Vita on the box and on the device. I grab the box and look at the back. It just had the information of what it does. Apparently I could play games on this. This sounds fun. I grab the box, and walk towards the cashier. I put the box in front of the cashier, while Goldie did the same thing. The cashier looked at the items for a second before giving me the price.

"Four hundred dollars." The cashier simply said. That's a bit much. I take out Four one hundred dollars and give it to the cashier. The cashier counted the money and nodded. I grabbed the boxes and put them in my Inventory. "Come again."

I nod and walk out of the shop. I sigh as I wonder what to do. I don't want to go back to the camp yet, but I also don't want to go home. I aimlessly wonder around just looking at random shops.

"So what are you doing now?"

"Just wondering around." I find a shop that said, "Donut Factory." I lick my lips just from looking at the shop. I do want to eat. I go into the shop,a sweet smell rushing up my nose the second I walk in. The shop was dimly lit, it had a homey feeling. I walk up to the front and look at the menu. The glazed donut caught my eye. I notice on the right side was where the drinks were. Hot chocolate sounds good.

"So what do you want?" Goldie asked.

"Just hot chocolate and a glazed donut."

"Do you have the money to pay for it?" I laugh at the statement. I'm literally a billionaire! I did just waste four hundred dollars though. I have more though!

"Yeah I do." Goldie nodded and reached into her pocket. I walk up to the cashier and order. I pay for the food and wait for my order. Goldie went up to the cashier with money and ordered. Once she was done to walked over to me.

"Where did you even get money? I know for sure you didn't have money when I met you."

"I got a job."

"Oh." We waited in silence. I was finally called up, I took my order and sat down at a random table. I had a sip of the hot chocolate. My body quickly warmed up as I felt gulped down the drink. My body felt kind of sleepy, I lay my head down on the table. I yawn as I felt the atmosphere of the place created a tingly feeling in my chest. Is hot chocolate supposed to be this good. I bit into my donut. The donut sweetness danced on my tongue as I went in for another bite. It shouldn't be this good! I drink the hot chocolate with a piece of the donut in my mouth. I pick up my head and lean back in the chair. If the chairs are comfortable! Goldie sat in front of me. She calmly bit into her donut and drank milk. She put down her milk and stared at me with a serious look.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Where's your mother? I know Jana isn't your mother, you look nothing alike. Anenoid isn't your father, Fujin is." I drank my hot chocolate before calmly responding.

"She left me a year ago, I don't know where she it now." Goldie looked at me with pity, I just took another sip from my cup.

"I-is this something she would normally do?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Just asking." She said with her voice kind of breaking. I munch on my donut, sadly I was finished with the donut in less than a minute. Should I order another one? Goldie cleared her throat. I stared blankly in her direction before sipping my hot chocolate. "So when did you figure out you were a demigod?"

"Oh." Goldie smiled. "So how's school." Why so many questions?"

"Good."

"Any girl you like?"

"No."

"Any friends?"

"No."

"Hmm." Goldie looked kind of uncomfortable. "What was your mother like?" I glare at her with annoyance.

"Can you just stop, I'm trying to relax."

"Just curious, just wanted to know you more." She said sadly. I ignore her and drink hot my chocolate until it ran out. I lean back in my chair and close my eyes.

I'll just relax here for a bit.

10:52 am

I walk out of the store and stare down at my new shoes. The shoes were black along with a little bit of gray on the back. On one side there were these lines going to the side. I hop from side to side. So comfortable. I wiggle my toes and smile. My toes didn't have much space before! There were all cramped up, I didn't realize I needed new shoes. I wore those for years. Way lighter than my other ones. I bounce up and down on my toes as I rub my new hoodie.

I even got new clothes! My hoodie was black, on the front was an astronaut looking at the Earth while standing on the moon. The hoodie was very comfortable, way better than the other jackets and sweaters I had before. I didn't get anything else other than new clothes and shoes,I did get a game for my PS Vita. It was some game called Persona 4 Golden. I have on idea what it's about, but it was colorful. I stretch and groan. I'm down a thousand dollars, but I don't care, I can afford anything I want now.

I still have to go back to camp. I wasn't even supposed to take this long, it was supposed to be quick but I got distracted. I should probably go back. I look around and quickly figure out I have no idea where I'am.

"Goldie, you know how to get back to the elevator."

"What elevator?"

"The thing we took to get down!"

"Oh. Sorry elevators aren't my time. Elevators were so much different back in my time."

"What is your time anyway?" I ask as Goldie led me through the city.

"Eighteen hundreds." God damn she's old. I silently respond with a, "hmm," as she quickly walked through the city. We walk by the museum, Goldie stared intensely at the building. I catch a hint of sadness in her eyes. Tears formed in her eyes as she looked away. I look at the building. She walks away a little bit slower than before. I should, I let her go? I know she would just leave if I left. I could go for a little. I don't want to though. But she did follow me around for the entire day. What time is it? One? Three maybe? I still have time.

"Goldie!" She turned around with a confused look on her face. I point at the museum. "I'm going to there for a bit!" Goldie's lips form a bright smile as she nodded and jogged over to me. I walk up to the museum and walk inside it. I squint my eyes as I bright light blinded me. I walk further into the building while covering my eyes. My eyes finally got used to light after a few seconds. I let my arms down to reveal wooden buildings on fire. In between the buildings was one singular path.

Goldie appeared by my side. She had a look of shock before her face, she suddenly looked like she was on the verge of a panic attack. She heaved for air until suddenly, she suddenly stopped. She took a deep breath and breathed out. Her hands shook as she looked around. I tried my best to ignore her. I don't think I should've came here. Might as well finish this quickly. I quickly walk through the path, strangely I felt no heat coming off the fire. Weird. A few steps into the path the buildings suddenly appeared and instead was replace by ashes and planks of food. A wide open space appears just a few feet in front of me. I try to walk into the space, but there was this invincible barrier that didn't let me in.

A two robots appear on top of a box in the middle of the space. One robot was a tiny fox with three tails, the other was just a normal person wearing a suit with socks that went past his knee. Did people wear that back then? In front of the robots was a huge crowd, most of the crowd had burns marks along with some of their clothes burned off. The robot in the middle consistently shouted "We will stand here!" while the fox had a huge smile on its face along with its tails wagging in the air. I don't think the fox knew what was happening but it looked happy to be here. Goldie looked over the the crowd with a proud look on her face. She muttered something under her breath but I couldn't hear.

The space in front of me suddenly flashed blue. I stretch out my hand, there was no barrier. I walk into the space and walk past the crowd. Behind the robots was another path. One side was just a brick wall, the other had these tiny little spaces in the wall. Well this museum is different than the other museums I've been to. I walk through the path and look at the spaces in the wall. The first one was just robots feeding other robots. The second one was just robots rebuilding buildings. The only thing similar in between them were the robots that were on top of the box. Goldie looked happier and more proud the further we went in. Does she like history, or does this actually matter to her? We walk further in. The spaces were just robots helping each other, the buildings looked more modern. It was actually starting to look like a town.

Goldie had a bright smile on her face, but her eyes were completely different. They had this old sad look, she looked like she knew what was about to happen. We step into another open space. Tears streamed down Goldie's face. I turn to her, as I was about to say something I notice two robots walk up to each other. One was the one from before with a paper in his hand. The other one was a bit chubby. As the robot was about to hand the contract over, the chubby robot suddenly whipped out a revolver from the side and pointed the gun directly at the robot. The robot pulled the trigger. Smoke left the barrel of the gun as the robot fell to the ground with a tiny hole in it's chest.

Goldie suddenly burst into tears. I quickly look over to her. Her eyes were puffy, she looked like a completely different person. She sobbed quietly. In between her sobs she wheezed for air. I really shouldn't have came here.

"You-you okay?"

"No!" What Am'I supposed to do here? I should've just gone home when I had the chance. "I-i miss him so much." Goldie said quietly.

"Wh-"

"I just wish I could've of died with him." She took a deep breath and wiped her tears. "He was a good friend. I would've have done anything for him."

"What-were you here when Magebourne was built?" She looked towards me with a teary look.

"The whole thing was my idea! He just helped me create it." Goldie stayed quiet for awhile. "I just wish he could've saw the end of it. He was happy working here. He was even about to get married."

"I-I'm sorry for your loss." I say, trying to sound sincere. She stayed quiet while she calmed down.

"You humans are so lucky. You can die with your friends, you can grow up normally together. It's no fair." She said emotionlessly. "I just want to be human... I just want to be human." She collapsed to her knees and gagged. What should I even say? I gulp and say the first thing that came to mind.

"I'm pretty sure they're in a better place. I know for sure that they miss you, and waiting for the day you come to them." Hopefully that didn't come out wrong. She slowly got up and walked over to me. She wrapped her hands around my body and hugged me tightly. I feel her tears fall onto my back.

"Thank you, I really needed that." She patted my back and let go. "Hey promise me something."

"W-what?"

"Appreciate the people around you, you'll never know when they'll leave."

"Y-yeah." She patted my head and smiled. She walked away. Is she calm now? Before I could start walking a box suddenly appeared.

Goldie's Compassion (Tier 1)

You can tell what is wrong with your close friends.

This is useless, I have no close friends. At least I have a new perk at least.

How do I even get these perks?

11:20 am

I walk up to the cabin and knock on it.

"Trevor! I got the laptop." The door immediately opened. The same guy from this morning appeared in the doorway. I pull out the laptop and hand it over. The guy put it on the side of the door, I pull out my weapons and hand it over. He looked at the weapons for a bit.

"Give me three days." He quickly closed the door in my face.

"Rude."
