(Michael's POV)

I walk out of my cabin and smooth out my shirt. I run my hands through my hair and set it to the side. I crack my neck before making my way towards the colosseum. I look up into the sky as I walk. I stop dead in my tracks as I spot Ivan flying up in the air. What's he looking for now?

I hide behind a nearby building and take a deep breath. I hold my hands together then quickly put one finger up. I squeezed my eyes as I tried to remember what to do next. I put one finger up, my hands suddenly shift into a blur as I let muscle memory do its thing. A bright ball of blue formed in my hands once my hands stood still. The ball let out soft hums along with sparks flying out of the ball. I get out of my hiding spot and draw my arm back. I giggle as I charge my magic into my arm. I throw the ball at Ivan at Ivan's side, the ball went up high into the air and fell towards Ivan. My eyes widen as I realize that the ball was going to hit him. Before the ball could hit him he looked up. In a blink of an eye, he was ten feet away from the ball. I rub my eyes just to be sure and look back up at Ivan. How did he do that? Ivan snapped his neck towards my direction. I wait patiently for him as he flew in my direction. He landed on the ground in front of me softly.

"Why did you throw that me?" He said with confusion in his voice.

"It was just to mess with you, I didn't want it to hit you though." Ivan glared at me for a second.

"Either way I had to find you." Weird, he never comes to me unless he wants something.

"What for?" Ivan looked around.

"Wait, hold on. Let's go somewhere more quiet."

"Sure." Ivan turned around and walked. I shortly follow after. I scratch my arms in nervousness as we walked in silence. I just have to break the silence.

"How did you do the teleport thing?" Ivan looked over his shoulder.

"What teleport thing?

"When you looked up at the electric ball, you just suddenly teleported."

"Oh, I didn't teleport. It's more like..." He thought for just a moment. "I... I don't know how to explain it." He said with hesitation.

"You're lying! You know what it is." Ivan raised an eyebrow.

"I actually don't know what it is, I can't control it. I just randomly... it just looks like I teleport, but I don't. I know it isn't teleporting but I don't know what it is." I stare at him carefully. Maybe he actually doesn't know? "What about that eye thing? How do you do that?" It took me a moment to realize what he was asking for. I stretch out my arm with an open palm. I focus on forming a sphere in my hand. An eye with a blue iris popped out of my hand. My hand became moist as the eye rolled around my palm. Ivan shivered at just one glance. "Why can you do that?" I shrug.

"I don't know, it just kind of happened one day. Ever since then, I just kind of do it."

"Does it at least have a use?"

"Yeah, just hold on to it for a bit." I toss it up in the air. Ivan turned around with a horrified look on his face. He hugged himself tightly. I felt a strong breeze of air rush by as the eye started to hover in mid-air.

"I'm not touching that."

"Just hold on to it for a bit. Maybe just a minute?" Ivan reached out and snatched the eye out of the air with a disgusted look on his face. He held the eye between his index finger and thumb. His arm was stretched far from him; he even leaned back to maximize the distance between the eye and him.

"Just point the eye in a random direction, I'll d-" Ivan cut me off.

"You can see out of this can't you." He said squeamishly.

"How'd you know."

"It's an eyeball. Eyes see. You create eyeballs, it shouldn't be too hard to figure it out."

"Okay, but did you know that my eye can go into you."

"I do! I saw you do it last time!"

"You did?" He quickly nodded his head up and down. I don't remember using it in front of him though.

"I can also switch places with the eye whenever I want."

"That one sounds like a lie."

"You could throw the eye somewhere."

"You know what, I believe you." He tossed the eye into the air and hovered the eye right in front of me. I grab the eye and absorb it back into my body. Ivan had a disgusted look on his face as he watched. "Can we go now?" He muttered under his breath.

"You were the one who wanted to know about my eyes."

"Well, I never wanted to hold one."

"How else were you supposed to know?"

"Tell me, don't show me. It's creepy."

"Fine, maybe next time I'll show you." Ivan rolled his eyes and kept on walking. I guess he doesn't want to see. Ivan wiped his hand on his pants several times before taking out hand sanitizer from out of nowhere. He rubbed his hands with the hand sanitizer before it disappeared. I open my palm and imagine a rubber ball form in my hand. Nothing appeared after seconds of thinking. Really wish that could've worked.

Ivan turned random corners eventually, he lead me to an isolated alley. There were maybe two other people near the area. Ivan turned to the entrance of the alley, a thick pillar of ice rose from the ground and covered the entrance.

He turned to me then looked over his shoulder. He bit his lip before looking back in my direction.

"Remember when you told me you're address?"

"Yeah," I say with an uncertain tone. Why did he bring it up now? "why?"

"So, I snuck out of the camp, and visited the house." Before he could say his next sentence I had to interrupt.

"How was my mom, was there anything wrong?" Ivan quickly shook his head.

"I think she was acting normal. She said that she wants to see you."

"How'd you get there?"

"I took a bus," Ivan said plainly. I can't tell if that's true but I'll believe him.

"So where's the camp," Ivan interrupted me before I can finish my sentence. I shut my mouth tightly as Ivan spoke.

"I can take you there right now, you're mom is waiting. She looked pretty happy when I mentioned you." My chest tightened along with my mouth forming a wide smile. I couldn't help but show my teeth with my smile. My cheeks started to hurt, it felt like my face was being stretched out. Ivan just stared at me, after what felt like forever he finally spoke. "I'm going to have to blindfold you though." My smile quickly dropped. I gulped as I felt a tingly, but hurtful feeling form in my throat. Please don't tell me this is some sort of trick.

"Wh-why do you have to blindfold me?" Ivan shrugged.

"I don't know, for some reason, I can't use it when I'm being watched. It's really useful for getting around places though." I sigh with relief. I don't think Ivan would lie about this sort of thing. I don't think he likes to trick people either.

"Okay," I gulp as a smile began to form. "Can I just close my eyes?" A rag suddenly appeared in Ivan's hand.

"Just stay still," he walked behind me, I felt his tiny hands grab my head. His hands shook as he struggled to get the rag over my head. "Can you crouch actually?" I chuckle to myself as I bent down close to the ground. Ivan quickly tied the rag over my eyes. He let go of my head and stepped back. I heard the sound of paper rustle. I felt a light pressure on top of my head. I heard a snap. I felt the wind and atmosphere change in a second. The ground beneath my feet felt hard instead of the usual dirt. I was suddenly pushed to the side as somewhere appeared under me. "Sorry," Ivan said under his breath.

The sound of paper rustled before the sound suddenly cut out. I squeeze my eyes as they were ambushed by light. I rub them, they quickly adjusted to the light.

I felt tears form in my eyes as I saw my bed. Ivan stepped to the side as I walked over to my bed. I push down on my bed with joy. I slam my face onto my bed, I rub my face against my bed for what only felt like seconds before pushing myself back up.

Ivan took out a phone and stood by idly. Where'd he get that phone?

"You think my mom left the house?"

"She said she wanted to meet you today, so probably not." He said not bothering to look up from his phone. Walked over to my bed and sat down. I looked down at his phone. He was texting somebody, before I could read any of his texts he replaced his phone with slime. He stretched out the slime with a smile on his face.

I ignore him and walk towards the door. My hands trembled as I reached towards the doorknob, I couldn't help but smile as I thought about my mom. I could imagine her brown hair, her bright green eyes, her gorgeous smile. I sniffed the air and smelled the fragrance of pancake batter. My mouth watered as I turn back towards Ivan. His slime was now instead replaced with his phone.

"I think my mom is making pancakes, you want some?" Ivan shook his head.

"I ate something a few hours ago," he lifted up his hand and formed a sandwich in his hand. "I didn't get to finish it either."

"Oh, okay then." I turn back around and turn the doorknob. I rush out of my room and run straight towards the kitchen. I bang my shoulder into the wall as I enter the kitchen. My stomach churned and twisted as I saw my mom over the stove. Her hair was tied into a messy ponytail. My mouth turned into a frown for just a sec at the sight of her hair being dyed black. She just died her hair, that shouldn't be a problem. I smile again as she turned around. A frown formed as I saw dark purple bags under her eyes. It reminded me of the people I met on my first day of camp. She looked like she hadn't slept in years. She wobbled from side to side as she lifted up plates filled with pancakes. I swiftly rush over to her and take the plates off her hands. I look around for the maple syrup, it took me a few seconds to realize that there was maple syrup on the island.

"You can sit down mom." She smiled as she stumbled over to the island. I hold the plate with one hand and turn off the stove with my other hand.

I carefully walk over to the island and gently place down the plate of pancakes in front of my mom.

"Can you please get another plate?" My mom asked nicely. I quickly rush over to the cabinet above the stove and reached for a plate. I walk over to the other side of the island and sit on the opposite to my mom. I set my plate on the table and stare at my mom with awe. I quickly realize that there were no forks. I get back up and quickly rush over to the side. I open the drawer and grab two forks.

I sit back down at the island and hand over a fork to my mom. She blankly stared at the fork before coming to her senses. She gently took the fork from my hand and poked the top pancake a few times. She eventually was able to lift two pancakes on her fork and lifted them up onto my plate. I noticed that there was only one pancake on her plate.

"Mom, do you want one of my pancakes?" I say as I scoop up one of my pancakes and try to place one pancake on her plate. She shook her head.

"I'm fine," She said in a quiet voice. My mom got up as I reached for the pancakes. She walked over to a drawer and pulled out a butter knife. She calmly sat back down and started to cut her pancake into small pieces.

I grabbed the maple syrup and poured the syrup onto my pancakes. I lick my lips as the syrup slowly covered my pancakes. I stab my fork into the top pancake and quickly stuff half of the pancake into my mouth before it could rip apart. I chew and chew until I could safely swallow. I prepare to stab my fork into the pancake. I stop and look at my mom. I slowly put down my fork on my plate. I look up at my mother nervously. I struggled to breathe, I take a deep breath to calm down.

"So, mom. How have you been doing?" She closed her eyes for a second before looking up from her pancakes with tears in her eyes.

"Michael, has anything bad happened to you?"

"Everything has been good, mom. Mom, how have you been doing?" I try to force a smile but all I could make was a frown. I looked down at my pancakes with a blank look. I thought it would be different than this. I thought we would smile, laugh, talk about our lives. I poke at my pancakes while I wait for her response.

"I've..."She sniffed loudly. I look up to see tears falling down her cheeks. She wiped her eyes as snot formed under the brim of her nose. I quickly drop my fork and rush over to her. I wrap my arms around her and squeeze her tightly. "I've been fine Michael. I was just worried about you. Your future, what you're going to do. I've just been scared at the thought of you fighting."

"Mom, I haven't fought anyone. I haven't had to worry about anything." She looked up and squeezed my arms gently.

"Then how's the camp Michael? Does anything look weird? Maybe people are hurt? Destroyed buildings? How is it?" I stare blankly at her. She had a desperate look in her eyes.

"Everything is normal at the camp. Nobody is getting hurt."

"You sure?" I quickly shake my head up and down. She took a shaky breath before letting go of my hands. "So, nothing has happened?" I shake my head. She closed her eyes and clasped her hands together tightly. "Sit down Michael. I have something to tell you." Adrenaline pumped through my body as I released her and sat back down on my stool. I took a tiny bite out of my pancake before she started speaking.

"Michael, how much do you know about your father."

"I know that he a god, but I don't know much about him."

"Your dad... is the kami of archery, agriculture, and war. He is mostly used for being the God of War. He is also the protector of Japan. Well at least in Shinto mythology." She stopped for just a moment. "In Buddhism, he is known as the Great Bodhisattva Hachiman. I haven't done much research about him but I do know that he is very important to the people of Japan." I quietly nod while waiting for what she was going to say. Why does all of this matter? I know my mom wouldn't tell me all of this without a reason.

"Have you noticed that you don't have many other siblings?"

"I kind of noticed that I only have one sister and brother. They're just a bit old-" I stopped talking as my mom brought her finger to her lips.

"Michael, the gods choose you and your siblings to protect the demigods." She said abruptly

"What, how do you know that-" I look down. I take a deep breath. I shouldn't say anything. Maybe she has more to say.

"I don't know what's going to happen in the future, but I just wanted to make sure you were safe." She stood up and took my plate. "I'm sorry but you need to get back to camp, I just wanted to see you. I didn't want my last memory to be you leaving in a rush, with no goodbye."

I swallow and try my best to hold back tears. My legs shook as I stood up, my arms felt weak. "Mom! Nothing will happen! Everything has been fine up to now, me and my siblings haven't had to do anything important. I'm sure my dad just.." I think of what to say. I stayed silent as I tried to think of the best way to calm my mom.

"Just go back to camp Michael, it's dangerous for demigods to be out in the normal world." A single tear fell down my cheek as I back up towards the entrance of the kitchen.

"I'll promise I'll see you again." I turned back around and slowly walk back to my room with my head slumped down. I reach out towards the doorknob but hesitate to grab it. I wipe the tear off my cheek before opening the door.

I smile as I see Ivan sitting with a binder and scratch paper on my bed.

"What are you doing?" Ivan looked back up.

"Doing homework, do you already want to go back to camp? It's only been five minutes since we came. Or did you come back for something?" I nod grimly.

"Yeah, let's just go b-" I stop myself for just a moment. It's been so long since I've come back. I want to see my school, my old friends. I just want to see the old life I had. "Ivan!" HE had a confused look on his face as he put his work away.

"What."

"Let's stay in town for a bit."

"What happened to go back?"

"We'll only stay here until night time." A guilty, sickening feeling suddenly formed in my stomach as I thought about my mom. I really shouldn't be doing this.

"You sure you want to?" He said with a surprised voice. I hesitate before responding.

"I'm sure Ivan."

7:40 pm

I sit down after pulling back a desk. My nose was filled with a woody smell. I breathe in deeply as Ivan sat across from me. Maybe I could smell something earthy instead of woody. My stomach rumbled as Ivan suddenly summoned a McDonald's bag from out of nowhere.

"Why did you pick a library for us to eat in," I asked Ivan as he dug through the bag.

"I paid for everything, so I pick where we eat."

"I'm asking why we're eating here, we could've eaten outside."

"I just wanted to get more books." Ivan passed me my hamburger along with my fries and soda. With his other hand, he summoned five Heresy's bars and a bag of M&Ms. Ivan took out sour gummy worms and Sour Skittles. He dug into the McDonald's bag and took out chicken nuggets with Spicy Buffalo sauce.

"But why pick a school library. We're not even supposed to be here." Ivan shrugged.

"This was the closest one." I roll my eyes as I open the container for my Big Mac. I struggle to bring up the burger to my mouth. Ivan happily dipped his chicken nuggets into his Spicy Buffalo sauce. As I bite my burger, I grab a handful of fries.

We ate in silence for a few minutes. I fumbled around in my seat as the silence grew between us. I put my burger down and try to break the silence.

"Quick question, have you ever went to the beach?"

"Why would I? The ocean sucks."

"The ocean is fun! The water is nice and cold, you can just float. Or! Just play tag, sandcastles. And then you can get ice cream, or maybe some seafood." Ivan bit into his chicken nugget before responding.

"I'm don't mind the land part of the beach, I just don't like the water part. What if I drift out into the sea? I just rather not be anywhere where humans haven't explored. Even the stuff we've already found in the ocean is terrifying."

"Like what?" Ivan looked down at his hand and started counting.

"The Megalodon, the Kraken, the Anglerfish, Giant Isopods, Nitrogen Narcosis, the Frill Shark. They're all scary. I heard that you even get squished if you go deep enough without the right equipment." He squirmed around in his seat. "Don't forget about deep-sea giantism. I'd rather not go anywhere near the sea."

"Isn't the Kraken a myth?"

"We live in a world full of myths. I'm not taking any chances with meeting some big squid."

"Just don't stay in the water then,"

"Tsunamis exist." I sigh as I bite into my burger. I put my burger down and drink my soda. Ivan took out a bottle of Coke and opened it. Ivan stared at my drink for a second.

"You mind if I have a sip?" I lift up my soda and point at my drink. Ivan nodded. I hand my drink over with much thought. I didn't think he was the type of person to share drinks. Ivan grabbed my drink and lifted up his drink. "You want mine?"

"Sure," he quickly handed me his drink and took a tiny sip of my drink. I bring his drink up to my lips. Ivan picked up a bag of Sour Skittles. The drink was suddenly raised up into the air. The drink poured into my mouth as I tried my best to bring it down. I swallowed quickly as the Coke went down my throat. I quickly take the bottle off my lips and gulp whatever was left. I cough as Ivan quickly stood up.

"Shit, that was my fault." I hand him back his soda as I rubbed my throat. "Sorry, I was trying to open this," he held up the Sour Skittles bag up to his chest. "But I kind of messed up." He pushed back the soda in my hand toward me. "Just take it. I rather have water." I nod as he handed back my drink.

"It's fine," he sat back down with a guilty look on his face. I wipe my mouth before sitting back down. I pick up my hamburger and bite into it.

"Hey Michael, you think aliens exist?"

"Hmm, I don't know. I don't think so."

"I've been thinking about this for a while, but the universe is so big, we can't be the only life out there. The universe is constantly expanding so I'm pretty sure something is alive out there."

"I don't know, isn't space... not explored that much. Even less explored than the ocean?"

"Yeah, but at least I can see in space, in the deep sea I can't." I shrug as I respond.

"There might be. But I'm not really interested in space."

"You should be, I think our humanity's next step is going to space," I grunt as my lower half begged to go to the bathroom. I stand up and push in my chair. "There's probably a bunch of stuff that would benefit us out there anyway. I don't think anything useful will come out of the ocean. The ocean is just sand, rocks, coral, and the creepiest animals I've ever seen." I nod up and down quickly.

"Hold on a sec, I gotta go to the bathroom."

"Oh, okay." Ivan nodded and took out his phone. I turn around and quickly walk towards the entrance of the library. I squinted as I walk out of the doors. I slowly walk through the halls of the school. My footsteps echoed with each step I took, I look around and feel a chill run down my spine. The halls suddenly brightened just a few seconds after I walked out of the library.

I walk just a bit faster to find a bathroom. I felt something linger in the back of my mind. I stop and look around. It took me a few moments to remember these halls. I smile as old memories rushed into my mind. This is my old school! No wonder these halls look so familiar! I confidently walk straight through the hall littered with lockers and turn a corner. I grin as I found the bathroom easily. I enter the bathroom and quickly finish my business. I wash my hands then quickly leave the bathroom.

I stop dead in my tracks as I was suddenly on the side of the cafeteria. I look around in confusion. Did they change the school? I hesitantly turn around only to suddenly find myself in the middle of the cafeteria. The nearest wall was only a yard away. My body tensed up as I back up. There is definitely a Yokai around here. I back up until my back met the front of a table.

A sharp stinging, lava-like heat sensation shot up my back. I dash forward instantly. A burning feeling lingered around my back. I quickly turn around as I clasp my hands together. The table's edge glowed a bright orange. It reminded me of what metal looked like if it was heated in a fire. I turn back around and sprint to the exit of the cafeteria. The doors to the cafeteria were shut tight. I form a few hand signs, a small bright orange ball formed in my hand. I draw my arm back and catapult the ball towards the door. The door glowed a light blue as the ball suddenly disappeared. I clench my fists as I turn my body to the side and charge my magic into my shoulder. I yell as I tackle the door. My shoulder stung with pain as the door flung open.

My body shivered as I felt the pain from my shoulder suddenly disappear. I look down at my shoulder, I bring my arm up to my chest as thick sheets of ice formed around my shoulder. I breathe in through my teeth as I ram my shoulder into a nearby wall. The ice barely cracked against the impact of the wall. I back up and ram the wall again. I grunt as pieces of ice fell off my shoulder. I off in a random direction as I charge my magic into the hand opposite to my frozen shoulder. I bring up my hand and pounded at the ice. I ran through random halls. I turn a corner and enter a hallway full of lockers. I attempt to ram my shoulder into a nearby locker. The locker suddenly opened. I hear a locker burst open behind me. I quickly form an eyeball in my hand and slam it into the nearby locker. The eyeball was sunk into the locker as I was suddenly pushed into the locker.

I slammed against the back of the locker and bounced back. Instead of my body being caught by the walls of the locker I suddenly fell down onto my back. I scrambled back onto my feet as my back soared with pain. I instinctively jump and look around. There was a sink beside me, there were also brooms, mops, and cleaning supplies and a cart with more mops and cleaning supplies near the door. I instantly recognize this as the janitor's closet. I heard something sizzle beneath me. I jump again and reach for the cart. I grab onto the ledge and yank it beneath me. Sweat formed on my forehead, the closet slowly got hotter and hotter. I take a deep breath and close my eyes. A sleepy feeling came over my body as I saw a dark hallway. A dark, shadow-like figure stood still in front of me. A thick cloud of smoke covered their body, it bowed its head and grunted loudly. The smoke slowly rose up into the air, the smoke suddenly disappeared as started walking.

What kind of yokai is that? The figure turned a corner. I open back my eyes only to find myself hanging off the cart. I noticed the cart was a second away from collapsing on its side. Its wheels slowly melted. The floor glowed a bright orange. I turn my head towards the door. The doorknobs glowed a bright blue. My heart pumped loudly as I hopped off the cart and sprinted towards the door. Everything slightly got bigger the closer I got to the door. I force myself to grab the doorknob. Ice quickly engulfed my arm as I turned the doorknob and push. I groan as a gust of wind suddenly came from the hallway. My arms shook as the door pushed back against me. I charged my magic into my arms. I scream as I felt the bottom of my feet being seared off by the floor. The door slowly closed inch by inch. I grabbed the edge of the door. My middle finger froze as it reached out into the hallway. I formed a tiny eyeball on the tip of my finger, I felt ice slowly form on my nail. The eyeball fell to the ground with a tiny splat. My knees give out as the door slammed onto my hands. My fingers curled up with a loud crack.

I close my eyes and focus on a tiny tapping noise on the door. Pain wrapped around my body with each passing second. Sweat poured down my body. The ice on my arm melted. A tingly and cold feeling wrapped around my hand as the skin on my feet turned numb.

I smile as my body was instantly wrapped around in a cold, freezing wind. I quickly open my eyes to find a person holding up my eyeball. My eyes widened as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a pair of brass knuckles. He jumped back and walked back just a few steps. He calmly put them on and rushed towards me.

I felt ice slowly form on my lower half. I struggled to pick up one foot and move it forward. The guy drew back his arm. His brass knuckles glowed a bright orange before he swung his fist at my nose. My head jolted to the side at the impact of his punch, a loud crack filled the hallway. A tiny river of blood ran down my nose as I quickly punch his chest. The guy didn't even flinch as my hand jabbed his gut. My hand cracked along with a faint thump coming from his stomach. He quickly uppercut my chin. My head flung back. I reach for his shirt and grip on tightly. I quickly form an eyeball on my palm. The eyeball was absorbed into his shirt. His eyes went white as my head was suddenly overcome with a heavy feeling. My vision suddenly switched to my limp body. I felt the cold metal of brass knuckles around my fingers. I quickly take off the brass knuckles and swiftly rush over to the wall. I take a deep breath and slam my head into the wall. Tears formed in my eyes as my nose felt like it was just slammed with a hammer. I quickly draw my head back and slam my head into the wall.

My vision suddenly went to black. I found myself looking at the floor. My legs were still covered in ice. I charge my magic into my legs and yank my legs out of the ice. The guy was over at a wall holding his nose. He turned around and slowly backed up. My arms felt from the ice. I hold up my arm and form an eyeball on the side of my arm. I quickly rush over to the guy and raise my arm above my head. He held up his arms above his head and flinched. I slam my arm into the side of his neck. The guy stumbled to the side. I grunt as I bring up my arm with the eyeball attached to the side, I quickly attempt to bash my arm into the guy's shirt. The guy's foot slipped as he jumped back. I lose my balance when my arms came down. My back hunched as I came to a stop. The guy scrambled backward. He then swiftly got up and ran away.

The ice around my hands melted off along with the wind coming to a stop. I only took a glance at my hands before running over to the brass knuckles. I look up from the brass knuckles only to find that he was already gone. I take a deep breath, a tiny whistle came from my nose. I wipe my nose, a tiny bit of blood stuck onto my arm. My body shook as the cold left my body. My chest felt tight. The adrenaline in my body flowed through my veins. I close my eyes in an attempt to calm down.

What kind of magic was that?

(Ivan's POV)

I play with my slime with my phone resting on the table. Michael's food was in the corner of my eye. I look up at his food, its sad that he isn't going to finish this. I could eat it, but he already bit into it. Should I give it to some animal? At least he didn't bite his candy. My phone buzzed, I put my slime away and pick up the phone. The only notification I had was a text message.

I had to back off, Michael should be heading your way.

I blink slowly as the library doors burst open. How did he fail? Michael sprinted up to the table and slammed his fists. I notice that he had a pair of brass knuckles. His arms and pants were drenched with water. His nose was a bit crooked, a faint tiny whistle could be heard as he breathed. His eyes were wide with fear. I notice that some parts of his skin were dark black. Does he not feel his burns? I look down and notice that the bottom of his shoes was almost melted off. I slightly jump as Michal quickly yelled.

"Ivan let's go!" I put away my phone and quickly get up.

"What happened?" Michael quickly rushed over to his food and picked it up in one swoop. He just got out of a fight and that's the first thing he's going for? Michael ran over to and stuffed all his food into my arms.

"Just hurry!" I quickly grab his food and put them into my Inventory. I grab all my food and take a deep breath. Michael grabbed me by the arm and dragged me behind him.

How Am'I going to explain this to Nuxiel?

Now that I'm finally done with the chapter, it's time to explain what the powers actually were.

(Guy with brass knuckles)

Space displacement- Whenever the user is inside a building, the user can manipulate what doors connect to a room. The user can also teleport anywhere as long as no one is watching and that they remain in the building.

Temperature trap- Whenever the user touches an object, the user can choose whether the object's temperature will heat up or cool down. The trap activates when someone touches the trap. The object will then slowly lower its temperature down to the point where ice will instantly form on the victim's body. If the temperature of the object starts to rise, then the victim's skin will burn off.
