1:30 pm

(Ivan's POV)

My eyes suddenly opened, I blink a few times confused. I watched as the clouds floated through the sky. I force myself up, a throbbing pain pulsed through my body as I sat up. I groaned as my arm bumped into a branch sticking out of my stomach. A sharp pain ran up my spine at the slight touch of the branch. I stared off into my distance waiting for my left eye's vision to become clear. I squint in an attempt to clear my vision. All that remained was a blur of colors. I rub my eyes expecting that to fix my eye. To my disappointment my vision was still blurry. I spot a box appear in the corner of my right eye. I grit my teeth as read the box.

I close the box and force myself to get up. I felt slightly out of breath as I got up. I still felt pain travel up and down my body. I notice a blur in my left eye suddenly wave at me. I take out Winter Rose and point my spear at the blur. My arms screamed to let go of the spear. The blur instantly got up and backed away with what looked like pale white sticks raised up. I turn my head to the right, I breathed a sigh of relief as I saw Weiss with her hands raised up. I put my spear away and look around me. I felt a slight sense of accomplishment looked over the now destroyed camp. Flames were scattered across the camp, I watched as people walked around the camp aimlessly. I turn around and look over at Weiss. I notice Michael laying on a dirty mattress unconscious.

I pat down my body and take out a health potion. I take a deep breath and rip out a piece of wood sticking out of my sides. I quickly chug down the potion as my legs wobbled. The bleeding quickly stopped but there was a stinging sensation hovering around my sides. I take out a bottle of Pain-B Gone, I put two pills into my mouth and swallow it dry. I struggled getting it down my throat. I coughed before looking at Weiss.

"Have you seen Coach do anything about all this?" Weiss sadly shook her head and looked down at the ground. I force myself not to smile as I look down at her.

"I'll do something about it then." I said before swiftly turning around and walking off.

I take out a note that Nuxiel gave me and look down at it.

I wonder how important this person must be that Nuxiel wants me to meet this person now instead of later.

Either way it's going to be a long ride.

1:47 pm

I run my fingers through my hair, I take out a a towel and violently rub my towel against my head. I put my towel back into my Inventory. I stretch my arms out into the air and moan in pleasure at the feeling of my muscles loosening.

I quickly fix my hair and walk out of my room. I put on my gloves and all my jewelry as I walk past the kitchen. I spot Goldie reading a book on the couching facing the window. Goldie looked up at me and smiled.

"You're going back out again?" I sleepily nod and turn my head right. Goldie nervously glanced at my left eye.

"Yeah, I got to meet someone, I should be back by tonight though." Goldie raised an eyebrow.

"Where are you meeting this person at?" I shrugged and pointed to the note.

"Somewhere in Pennsylvania." I said in a nonchalant tone. Goldie smiled and closed her book. She stood up with a huge smile.

"Do you mind if I come with you? I've been wanting to go back there." I smile and happily nod.

"Sure, but I don't want to be there long." Goldie shook her head with a smile.

"I just want to see if anything has changed." I shrug and tilt my head towards the stairs.

"Sounds fine with me."

3:45 pm

I awestruckingly looked out the window as blurs of green rushed by. I get comfortable in my seat and rest my head on Goldie. Goldie had a huge smile on her face as she watched the trees pass by with nostalgia in her eyes.

"I can't believe it's been this long since I've been here. I wouldn't think there would be more roads." I look up at her with confusion.

"What was it like before?" I ask.

"There's was definitely more deer, I haven't seen a deer here yet." She said with disappointment. She formed a tiny smile, her eyes still had a sad look. "It still looks beautiful even if the roads ruin it."

"Oh," I said blankly. I take my head off her shoulder and stare at the window. I stared for any sigh of a deer. I spot a tiny glimpse of a gray scurry through across the road and under the bus. I turn my head and try to see what crossed the road. I spot a squished baby racoon laying with its sides open. I quit looking out the wind and stare straight in front of me. My body shook slightly before it stopped. I take out my phone and look down at it. I frown as I spot an unknown number try to text me. I read the text the number sent me and reply.

Unknown Number: Hi!

Ivan: .

Unknown Number: This is Ivan right????

I shift around in my seat. I stare down at my phone and stare out the window. That was probably who I supposed to meet. I quickly look down at my phone and respond.

Ivan: Yeah.

Unknown Number: oh cool look at this thing I found

I raise an eyebrow as I waited for a picture to show up. I grit my teeth in anticipation. I frowned as I saw a picture of Zacharias standing in front of a car with its front parts inwards towards the middle of the car. I raise an eyebrow at the car.

Ivan: Are you going to sell that car?

Zacharias: After we fix it

Ivan: Ok.

I quickly save his number and put my phone back into my Inventory. I look out the window, I blink as the bus stopped in front of fancy, two-story houses. Goldie stood up. I look back towards Goldie and follow after her. The warm air hit my body. I smile as a comfortable feeling wash over me.

I take out my phone and type in the address into my phone. I look up at Goldie.

"So, what are you going to do?" Goldie looked down at me and patted my head.

"I just wanted to see how much the place changed. I'll just walk around with you." I felt my lips form a smile as I nod. I followed the directions on my phone. I watched in awe at the trees twisting together and forming an archway over the roads. The place felt so nice to walk around in, there wasn't any gun shots that could be heard in the distance. There wasn't any trash littering the streets. The air was so much more easier to breath, there wasn't the smell of gas or smoke in the air.

I turn a corner, to my surprise there was a forest to my right instead of the those big houses. There were still houses on my left, I look back to my right. I wonder if people have to worry about animals breaking in? I look down at the GPS while Goldie started to hum. I raised an eyebrow as the GPS said that my destination was at the end of the street. I look up and see a one-story house with a huge yard in the front. The house was painted white, I had to squint my eyes from all the light being reflected off the paint. The house had a row of flowers lined up around the house. There were bushes right next to the patio leading up to the front door.

I look at Goldie and glance at the woods.

"I've been wondering, do people here hunt?" Goldie nodded and looked towards the woods.

"When I lived here people did." Goldie smiled. "It's been a while since I've hunted. I've been wanting to go for a while now."

"Oh, do deer taste good? I know people eat them but I've never had them." I look back towards the house.

"It's like beef, just a bit different." Goldie smiled. "It's more rewarding to get it though." Goldie said with delight. I cringe at the thought of hunting a deer.

"Don't you have to skin it or something?" Goldie shrugged.

"It isn't that big of a deal. It takes a bit of practice to get good at it though." Goldie said casually. I squirm at the thought.

I walk up to the door and knock. I fake a smile and look up as the door opened. My smile quickly dropped as a familiar pale skinned, skinny woman opened the door with a sinister smile. The woman was wearing a bright red dress along with wearing bright red makeup to go along with it. I took a step back and nervously looked down. I felt my legs tremble and shake, my palms were drenched with sweat. I felt the woman's gaze stare down at me with an murderous intent. The woman grabbed underneath my chin and lifted my head up. There was a gleam in her eye that shook me down to my core.

"You're just pretending to be my mom, right?"
