Chapter 13

The two of them ran away from the monster. The minotaur hunched it's back then came charging at them, making a loud roar in the process. The ground shakes with every step the monster made, making it hard for Seiran to keep up with Reymund. The minotaur quickly caught up to them. Despite it's huge appearance, the speed is much faster than a lion chasing it's prey.

Reymund looked back at Seiran, only to find the minotaur about to punch her. He quickly took Seiran's wrist and threw her on the side so he took the blow of the monster.

"NO!!!" Seiran shouted. Reymund flew a few meters away from where he stood, trees snapped when his back hit them. Seiran quickly followed him and stopped in an open area. She knelt down beside him. Reymund is covered in blood and his many of his bones are broken. His right arm and right let, where it recieved the minotaur's punch, have their bones dislocated. Her tears fell uncontrollably but put herself together to help her friend.

Seiran tried to heal him but it won't work at all. She could feel a very faint pulse in his wrist. Her hands felt as she tried to heal him again but still failed. Another flash of lightning appeared. Seiran saw the shadow of the minotaur covered whole body. She turned around and looked up at the monster. The minotaur raised his fist. Seiran braced herself when it finally swing towards her then everything completely went silent.

She opened her eyes, wondering why she didn't feel any physical contact. She saw the minotaur wasn't moving. She looked around and saw the droplets of the rain even stopped in mid-air. Light dust suddenly appeared slowly from everywhere and it gathered in one place, slowly forming into a ball of light. Once it became the size of a hand, it glowed then an elemental being that is the spitting image of Rye appeared but the only difference is this one emits a yellow glow around it.

"I'm Dein and I'm going to unlock your seal. Use your bow and arrow. Put pressure on the latter and release it. Make sure to aim for the left part of the chest where the heart is." Dein said, referring to the minotaur. The elemental being released the second seal in Seiran's heart with the same process as the first one. She felt more mana the came surging all over her body down to her fingertips.

She put her tears away first then nodded with full determination in her face. Dein nodded back then counted down before snapping her fingers. The rain now continued to drop. Seiran took an arrow in her quiver and quickly put it in the string. She pulled the string as she twist her body. She unconsciously made a yellow magic circle behind the arrow. When she released it, the arrow traveled very fast, making gust of wind as it flew and hit the monster's chest. The minotaur stopped moving. His fist is an inch away from Seiran's body. The arrow cleanly hit the minotaur's heart then it fell and landed in it's back.

Seiran wasted no time and turn to Reymund. Now that she has more mana, she could definitely heal him. She put her hands together and used more mana in making the magic circle. The circle appeared but now it has much more complex design and it has a lot of runes written around the edge of the circle. It appeared at the ground where Reymund is laying at and it glowed very brightly. Reymund's cut were healing instantly and his bones are getting back to normal quickly.

The light slowly disappeared as the magic circle did. Seiran saw that she finally put Reymund's life away from death and felt like her energy was sucked out of her. Before her eyes closed, she saw a man with dark hair and golden eyes. He looked like he was saying something but Seiran slowly closed her eyes and fell unconscious.

"...You go check up on them." A voice said from a distance. Seiran opened her eyes and glanced at the sound of the footsteps beside her.

"Ah, you're awake." She saw a man with dark hair with an intimidating golden colored pupil of his eyes. The same one she saw before closing her eyes. She sat up, the man didn't even bother to help her. He put a glass of water at the small table beside her.

She looked around and saw they're inside a large tent. Reymund slept beside her as a small table the only thing that separates them.

"Drink this if you want then come outside for dinner." He said. He gave her a small smile then came out of the tent. Seiran did as she was told. There was a fire crackling outside the tent. There were two man sitting in a long log beside the bonfire including the dark haired man. Now that there's fire as a source of light, she can clearly see that the two are really good looking. The dark haired man actually has dark blue hair.

"Hi!" The man with a scar in it's cheek greeted with so much enthusiasm. Seiran gave a small nod. Unable to speak as she felt conscious of the two men staring at her.

"Come sit here and eat with us." He said and tapped the space beside him.

"No thank you. My friend and I have to go back." She replied. She knows that Adi must've been worried since they left.

"You're friend is still sleeping though?" The dark blue haired man said. The other one stood up then pushed Seiran's shoulder and forced her to sit down. He gave her a small box that contains food and told her to eat it.

"The name's Leon and this man is Noah." He pointed to himself then to the man beside him.

"I'm Seiran-"

"Villamonde?" Noah interrupted. Seiran's heart started to beat fast. Her silence convinced the two men that she is.

"Please don't tell anyone." She said softly. Then she remembered how her own sister almost killed her. How her father told her and Adi to leave.

Noah could see how the girl in front of him looks so sad as she told them not to tell anyone about her identity. It didn't cross his mind to tell everyone about some noble girl that they found while doing their task. After all it's none of his business.

"Why?" Noah found himself asking. Leon quickly turned to face him. Seiran could even hear his bone snapped. Leon covered his mouth with his hand then his eyes grew in surprise.

"You actually care?" He asked breathlessly. Noah hit his head hard.

"I didn't say I care." He said annoyed. Leon came near Seiran's ear and whispered.

"Noah's actually a distant guy. He doesn't like people prying in to his business as he doesn't like to do it in others too. He makes sure not to let anyone have a close relationship with him. So seeing him being curious about you is very very very surprising."

"Stop it William I can hear everything you say." Noah said.

Leon snickered then Seiran looked at Noah to answer his question.

"No one knows here who I actually am so this is the first time that I'm living my life peacefully." She said.

"You're really different with your brother and sister huh." Leon said.

"I haven't met my brother and I also don't get along with my sister." She smiled sadly.

"Seiran?!" Reymund quickly stood up and saw Seiran sitting with two men beside the bonfire.

"Are you alright?" He asked and quickly crouched down and checked if she had any injury.

"I'm fine Reymund." She said.

"Did one of you healed me?" He asked the two men. they both shook their head so he looked at Seiran who's avoiding his eye contact.

"Was it broken again?" He asked. The last time the seal was broken, her healing magic also improved. His question confused the two men but Seiran clearly understood it. She nodded and said, "while you were unconscious, it appeared."

Reymund wanted to ask more but couldn't because of the two men listening.

"Thank you for helping us." He said.

"No worries." Leon answered then Seiran stood up.

"We should go now since he's already awake." She said. She bowed and said her thanks again then turned to walk away. Reymund quickly followed her.
