Chapter 18

Seiran opened her eyes. The sunlight from the window suddenly blinded her and closed her eyes quickly. Again she opened it and the blurry vision prevented her to see anything. After a while it became cleared. She saw Adi sleeping next to her bed while sitting.

"Seiran?" Reymund called from the door. He quickly walked up to her. Adi woke up as soon as she heard the girl's name.

"You're awake? Do you feel anything bad?" Adi worriedly asked.

"Water." Seiran could feel her dry throat that it hurt when she spoke. Reymund quickly ran to the kitchen to fetch her a glass of water and returned immediately. Adi helped her to sit then Reymund gave her the water. Seiran quickly gulped it down then asked for more. She felt better after the third glass.

"You've been unconscious for three days. We were so worried about you." Adi said as she embraced her. Reymund already told Adi what happened so he also told Seiran of what he and Dina talked about.

"How did Noah get affected by the black mana if it's not able to pass down from Grotha to his underlings?" Seiran asked.

"I don't know too." Reymund answered and sighed hopelessly.

"Anyway, Adi said you must've used up all your mana so you lost consciousness. It'll take months to fully recover your mana." Reymund said.

"But I could feel half of my mana inside me." Seiran said.

"Considering you're very powerful, regaining your mana in a very fast rate must be easy for you. At this point I shouldn't be surprised but I still am." Reymund said.

"Did something happened while you were away?" Dina asked as soon as Seiran came inside their room.

"What do you mean?" She asked and put her clothes in the cabinet.

"Reymund asked be bunch of stuffs about black mana." Dina eyed her suspiciously.

She can see that Seiran is struggling to tell her anything so she sighed and lift up her hand.

"Ok, I won't ask anymore but if something's wrong, don't hesitate to tell me so I could help you." She said. Seiran nodded, grief is clearly written in her face.

Dina told her to sit beside her. As soon as she did, she gave her a hug and cried as she tell what happened between her and Clide. Seiran didn't know how to comfort as this is her first time someone told their problem to her so she just let Dina cry as she hugged her back.

"Good thing I made the potion myself this time so we passed. I couldn't afford to be alone with him anymore." She said while sniffing.

"Thanks for listening though. It felt good to finally let this all out." Dina said. She flopped down to her bed and quickly fell asleep.

Seiran walked outside of their dorm to buy some food for Dina. They always eat sweet things whenever they're stressed about something so she'd buy some right now for Dina.

"One month more and we'll finally have our long awaited summer vacation." Finn said.

He and Dina are in the cafeteria waiting for Luke and Seiran because a teacher ordered them to do something. The classes were cut off in the afternoon so everyone either went straight to their dorm or ate lunch.

Finn saw Clide staring at Dina while she's talking to him. He already knew what happened as she told him in one of their classes together. Dina glanced at the direction Finn was looking at and saw Clide looking at her. His girlfriend seemed pissed that he wasn't paying her any attention. Dina looked away and became irritated at the feeling of being stared at.

"The asshole stood up and is walking towards our direction. Wanna go somewhere else?" Finn said.

"Yeah, let's just go find the two." She said then they quickly walked away before Clide could get near them.

Meanwhile, Luke and Seiran are about to go towards the cafeteria when students suddenly gathered around the entrance of the school. They were about to pass by but a familiar voice called out.

"Seiran!!" They turned to look at the man who shouted. The students parted ways and saw 3 men in a robe with a hood hiding their faces. Seiran walked towards them, Luke following closely behind.

"Ms. Volt, they came here specially for you." Their dean said at the side.

"Me?" Seiran asked. She glanced at Luke who seemed as confuse as she is. Then she walked towards one of the person wearing a hood and saw the familiar golden eyes. She looked over the other man with almost the same build as Noah, Seiran heard his voice lately too so she knew that was Leon. She hoped that the third man wasn't Paul Armonde but unfortunately, he is.

"Why are you here?" Seiran asked.

"We wanted your help since the task this time is dangerous." Paul answered.

"Absolutely not." Reymund suddenly came out from the crowd then put Seiran behind his back. Leon went near them and whispered at Reymund.

"I'm really sorry about this. Mr. Armonde was always with the headmaster back in Hale kingdom so we couldn't harm him when he threatened us that he would tell everyone about Seiran unless she come with us to kill the evil beast this time." Leon explained.

"Damn him." Reymund cursed then let Seiran go.

"Be very careful, Seiran." He said. The fact that Reymund let her go this time must've meant something is going on so she agreed without any question.

"We'll have to excuse her for 3 days." Noah said and handed the dean a large amount of money.

"Don't tell anyone we're here." He said in a low voice.

"Yes Mr. Raileigh." The dean answered and gratefully accept the hush money.

Seiran came back to her room and quickly put her clothes in her backpack then came outside. She saw Luke waiting beside their dorm then he helped her bring her bag.

"Those guys are nobles." It wasn't even a question. Seiran felt uncomfortable that he knew.

"How did you know?" She asked.

"Their weapon, I saw one of them has one of the greatest sword in the empire, no probably in the whole continent, hidden inside his robe so I know that man is Noah Raileigh." He said. She could feel that Luke wanted to know how she has some kind of connection with him but she couldn't answer without telling him the whole truth.

They were quiet until they reached the gate. Everyone started whispering when they arrived.

"They really did come for her?"

"Why are such scary men looking for our Seiran?"

They ignored everyone's questions. Luke gave the bag back to her as they stopped in front of the gate.

"Thanks." She said quietly while recieving her bag.

"Safe travels." He said and pat her head.

They ride on a horse. Seiran rode with Leon then they set off.
