FRIENDS

They spent the entire day at the game shop, playing games and having a fun time. Rose was sleeping peacefully at the back of the car and it was already dusk.

Their drive home was a quiet one, Karen gazed out of her window looking into nothingness and also at some shops, buildings and letting the gentle breeze of the night caress her face.

"You are all quiet," Chris speaks up, clearing the quiet atmosphere between them. "I thought you were upset with me for playing that dirty trick on you."

"I have gotten over it," she looks over her shoulder to him. "It's nothing and anyways thanks for today."

"You're welcome," he replies, honking for the cat in front of him to move out of the way. Karen turns to look at the sleeping girl, she watches as her body rise and fall simultaneously.

"You have such a beautiful daughter," she smiles, turning to him. "She's so adorable, in a way she's just like me. She reminded me of my childhood."
