A week passed by, he made a simple house w/ solar panels, water catcher from coconut branches and added big containers that filters the rain water.
His main diet was fish from fishing near rocky area, clams, oysters and mussels are available during low tide.
He still kept firing signal flares three times a day and smoke signal using fire wood, dried coconut branches and fallen fruits.
Thinking about the plane, it plunges to the deep of 350 m below the sea and hope that the beacons continue sends signal of the wreckage.
As the lone survivor, he hopes that plane and remaining people be retrieved. So the family can mourn for their death at least. This burden also remained to him until the day his 2nd major accident and death.
His idle lifestyle just continued each passing day, he checks his fish traps and cooked his breakfast. Line-up the solar panels, fire smoke signals, eat and sleep the remaining of the day.

Scars are all over his body, as Bert explores further both land and the sea. His skin was tanned; he also gained muscles and loss some weight.
His hands and feet got calluses while trekking and climbing over trees and rocks. He made the island his home, a hammock made from coconut branches and basket, while slowly clearing the area.
Bert earned 70 coins and 7 upgrade potions in the past week. Doing daily task are 100 push-up, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats and 10 miles running around the island.

His mind was feeling lighter than before, Bert's grip is also tighter and his body was less tired w/ all the exercise he did. He did some drawing on his diary, like his father, mother, grandparents and himself.
Unlike before, his drawing skills are just average and it took him a few days and even weeks to finish a project/ plate.
The plates on his year are about 3 on average a week and he slept 4- hrs. a day just to finished each of it.
Last plates on each semester is a headache, it has complete set of plans and miniature model. He also needs to improve on his math skills, since 2 subjects are required to enroll the next semester math subjects.
He got delayed by this two, both of it were failed, trigonometry has no request, while algebra got a special class. The rest became a history that he doesn't want to repeat again.
His math teacher was considered a terror by all arki students, he gave 5 (failed grade) half of their batch and later, became on his panel during thesis presentation.
There's an annual Acquaintance event where freshmen do tree planting, gay pageant and slave auction. He can still remember being sold for 10 bucks and became a helper for a day by 3rd year seniors along w/ Dave.
Dave change course after a semester and his reason was that he can't stay up all those plates. Bert is kind of jealous on Dave's skill to draw anime characters and made his own comic.
He's also one of the few friends that he made during freshman year. They bonded over anime, manga and drawing in the library.
By mid first semester, an annual school event where every college does exhibit and his first was a disaster. For example, it was only in the morning when the senior years take charge and arrange the plates to be exhibit.
The program is college week; it started a parade, games and sports during the first day. Talent show, skill Olympics and awarding of winners are held on the last two days.
Arki week is held on last week of November until first week of December. Product presentation, symposiums and exhibits are usual events.
Christmas parties are held by college and each class doesn't overlap w/ schedule or just stay at home like him.
New Year is a hectic month, festivals are happening during this month until June to celebrate the good harvest and thank the patron saint.
They even put up a hyena, face painting and mini store on these events. Hundreds of thousands of people are celebrating and went on this to experience such unique event.
The Dinagyang festival received a lot awards like 6x champion since the beginning of Aliwan Fiesta 2003, where all festivals in the country compete and show their variety of traditions.
Contingents all over the country competes in dance parade and float competitions.
It's organized by Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) together with Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and the cities of Manila and Pasay.
The event is dubbed as "the Philippines' Grandest Fiesta," with prizes totaling 3 million pesos (roughly US$70,000). The top ten contingents in the cultural dance and float competitions receive cash prizes, with the top float winner receiving P500,000 (roughly US$11,000) and the winning cultural dance group getting P1 million (about US$23,000) as well as the bragging rights of becoming the champion of Aliwan Fiesta. Meanwhile, the Reyna ng Aliwan receives P100, 000 (roughly US$2,300).
Aliwan is a Tagalog word for "entertainment" or "amusement."
Aliwan Fiesta festivities are covered live on DZRH News Television annually. Aliwan Fiesta also takes pride in foreign exposure given to its winners.
Lumad Basakanon of Cebu's Sinulog, Tribu Panayanon of Iloilo Dinagyang, and the Manggahan Festival of Guimaras have all represented the country in various international festivals overseas.
