"Is this the place where two bodies have been sent?!" Uncle asked the officer sitting at the crime lab's front desk.

"Who're you guys?! Yeah, they're inside the freezer! Are you here to confirm the bodies?" PO2 Dino said.

"Yeah, that's correct! Could you release it immediately, Officer!?" Uncle Lorry slid an envelope of cash into the logbook. Checking the content, the officer looked satisfied and he personally led them to the room.

The entry level of police officer is 15k, w/c is barely enough to cover the expenses of their family and pay the debts of his family. Cops do a lot of dirty jobs like kidnapping, payroll from drug lords, personal securities for high officials and a lot more.

"Another 5k for the gas, truck and the driver!" PO2 Dino said. Uncle Greg gave him the money; the bodies of Jose and Luisa were loaded in the truck and instructed to follow convoy later.

"Here's the 5k you paid! Don't waste your money, Greg!" Uncle Lorry said. He really doesn't the attitude of this guy, unlike Jose who's a complete the opposite of Lorry.

"Okay do your magic, Secretary!" Grandpa Robin said.

"Thank you, Sir! Let's gather the media in the conference room and the go signal is let's start, Sir!" Under-secretary Henry Vargas said.

All big and small local media from the capital and province are eager to get in. Big and small cameras are shooting a live broadcast of this and microphones are on the podium.

There are few people present on this are Under-secretary Henry Vargas his deputies and soldiers.

As soon they heard the signal, the old couple was carried by the strong guards, followed by Bert, Uncle Lorry, Uncle Greg and the rest. The soldiers and police cleared the path to the car.

"Vrooomn!!" the convoy hits the road, as they leave the vicinity and the presscon just started too.

"It's was confirmed that the waterfront police took custody of a survivor along w/ other family members are stored in sleeping bag and he got stranded in an island for 30 days!" Under-secretary Henry Vargas said.

"Could you reveal the name of the survivor? How did he get out and survive the accident?" MGA reporter asked.

"These three are from Devino family that has missing for the past month! It's the son, daughter in law and grandson of Business tycoon Robin and Fleiss Devino identified the family.

According to the survivor, he managed to get out by removing a stuck passenger on the window and floating device that deployed after they crash. He used a blanket to sail by the wind, his sleeping bags are used as body bags and he lived off through fishes and clams!" Under-secretary Henry Vargas said.

"Where are they now and what's the condition of the survivor, Secretary?!" TV6 reporter asked.

"The family decided to go to a big hospital in the capital for a comprehensive evaluation and they're currently on the road to the airport!" Under-secretary Henry Vargas said.

"We got trick everyone!!!" ABIAS reporter shouted, people stood up but got blocked by soldiers.

"Please sit down, media friends! The Devino family is the same w/ other victims, they also needed space to mourn for their lost and get the survivor to recover from physical and mental trauma he/she suffered for the past 30 days.

I hope guys understand if you're in their shoes, seeing people die in front of you is already a bad memory and how much it cost to see your own family.

Your failure to save them and eventually they died in your arms! Is it ok to follow and chased them like a paparazzi?! Aren't we nation that value family the most and respect the elders?!

I want also to condemn this bad and toxic nature of the media in our country! Showing half naked bodies of females on live TV, pre-marital sex, adultery, and etc.! Is this the nation we want to shape for the new generation?!

Have our values and ethical standards are forgotten or drain out that we became desensitized just for ratings, airtime and extra prints?

In the past month, day and night the rescuers plus volunteers search every of the sea to locate the plane.

A day later, we able to pin point the exact location of the black box and after two weeks, the plane was successfully salvage!

Almost all passenger's bodies were recovered, what left missing is the Devino family and on our day 30 of the operation was rescued!" Under-secretary Henry Vargas said.

"We apologized behalf of our colleagues, Secretary!!" led by a senior reporter and his crew, the rest also followed and even the anchors of the big TV stations groveled for this.

"I'm not here to just rant my opinion, or restrain you're rights and freedom of the press, but everything has a limit when you broke the rights of others!" Under-secretary Henry Vargas said.

"According to the doctor, the survivor suffered minor injuries and detailed tests are needed for comprehensive evaluation!" Under-secretary Henry Vargas replied.

"Did someone have the reward since there's a Devino family survivor and how much he'll get, sir?" TV6 reporter asked.

"As far as I know, no one got the reward offered, but the patriarch decided to give it to the volunteers whom helped the task force. See you guys a week later for the hand-over ceremony!" Under-secretary Henry Vargas replied.

The presscon ended great, as both parties learned and shared valuable lessons. It took them an hour reach the Mindoro airport from the pier. On their way, Bert negotiated the sale of their stocks, the family properties and the land in Boracay.
