Final Day

it was 2 day's till Makeda would have to get married, and time was running out, as the days went by to this leading moment, Makeda was thinking that it may have been impossible, but she was having hope for Alcaeus, she believed in her first and only real friend.

Makeda's thought's:" I believe in you Alcaeus, I know you can do this... yeah, he's come so far now, he won't stop now"

as they get thing's in place, Alcaeus made the sword, made to be a complete copy of the legendary Sword Balmung, the sword that slew Fafnir, though it is significantly weaker than the actual sword due to the limit of Alcaeus's Magical strength for now, and as he got thing's ready, he was going to slay the dragon, so now, he has to get a sneak attack on a dragon, so taking inspiration from the hero Seigfried himself since he copies his sword, he is going to wait in hiding for an opportunity, for about 6 hour's, Alcaeus waited in a hiding hole and a dragon finally arrives, and as he saw the dragon getting closer, he got a stab to its neck as it cut it's head clean off, however, the body didn't disappear and the one claw hit Alcaeus as he was slammed through some bolder's and hit the side of the mountain with enough force to create a creator 9 time's his size as he coughed up blood.

Camilla:" ALCACEUS, NO"

Aspalis:" Battle Continuation, a skill that makes killing something infinitely more difficult, even Artemis had a hard time battling monster's that have Battle Continuation"

Sharifa:" this isn't good, we need to help him"

Abigail:" wait... Alcaeus specifically asked up no matter how dreadful it seems, give him a chance to win on his own for Makeda's sake"

Makeda:" please, I don't want him to die because of me... I'll accept my fate"

Aspalis:" if we do that, he will never let himself live that down if you are miserable in your forced marriage, don't worry, he's determined"

in nature, all monster's have Skill's and Development Abilities like adventurer's do with their Dunamis, but for monsters, it's very different and more complex or simple based on how you look at it, and while some skill's and Development Abilities are impossible for monsters to have due to them not having any form of Sanity or sense of reason or self-preservation, along with a lack of motor skills and tactical prowess, something that monster's don't have due to them having no consciousness, and also something related to them being in a constant Berserk state that makes them literally unable to think or take their situation into account, they will literally charge to their death so long as they can get the kill or help in killing the target's near them, which at time's is any mortal they see.

while all that is known by everyone in the world since they've studied these creatures with help from the wisdom of the god's, this make's thing's both easier to understand, but also makes people more scared as they can know what they are getting into because of the skill's and, in this case, the Development Ability that is one of the worst of all the Development abilities for a monster to have is Battle Continuation as it makes monsters so much harder to kill, you have to literally rip all their limb's and head off to kill them, so this made Alcaeus's job so much harder, but Alcaeus got up and moved around

Alcaeus's thought's:" DAMN IT, of all the Development abilities if could have, it has Battle Continuation, a simple, but very effective ability to have, but I can't stop now, I'm so close to saving Makeda that I cannot let this slip"

Alcaeus:" I'll win even if it's by the skin of my teeth"

with the Dragon's head gone, Alcaeus knew that he had a chance to fight since the dragon cannot see him anymore, but he knew what to do to win, Battle Continuation means it's harder to kill, but all he had to do was cut off its limb's and it would die since it can no longer fight, and it looks like it doesn't have regeneration so he didn't have to worry about it, and the 5 of his friend's watching couldn't interfere, or all would be lost, and the king's and queen's watching through the gem's on their daughter's necklaces were at the edge of their seat's as they were seeing this as well, and it was going to be a good battle indeed for them to see, specifically for the Amazon queen who was ecstatic her daughter has a strong spouse who earned her hand in marriage if he can pull this off, though, Alcaeus's friend's, or more accurate, his wives and wife to be, were looking at this worried out of their minds.

Aspalis:" this isn't good, Alcaeus's chances just went out the window at near completely impossible now, with Battle Continuation, that dragon is basically as lethal as a level 7 threat level that all the kingdom's in the world work together to solve"

Makeda:" that last level 7 threat was exactly like this, wasn't it, a Dragon with Battle Continuation just like this, and it took each kingdom about a month to finally put it down, so many lives were lost and it took the combined forces from 30 of the current level 7 Adventure's in the world made up from each kingdom to take it down"

Abigail:" I remember when Artemis fought a Dragon with Battle Continuation, it wasn't good at all"

Sharifa:" aww, that sounded like it would have been amazing to see, and she was the one who taught Alcaeus just about everything he know's, how'd she do"

Makeda:" what happened in the fight"

Camilla:" well... the fight lasted for about 10 hour's, and Artemis was a wreck by the end of it, she lost an arm and an eye and was in serious threat of going back to the Divine Realm from her injuries, if not for the god's ability to regenerate within a day she may have passed, she barely pulled through by the end of it"

Sharifa:" the goddess Artemis, the legendary virgin huntress of the moon, she came out by the skin of her teeth fighting that thing... god's using Ki can use the power of a level 4, but Alcaeus, while being able to use the Nth degree of Ki, he can only get to the power of a level 2 with it at best"

Camilla:" it also doesn't help he's not in good condition after that massive hit he took, I'm surprised he's still conscious let alone running like that"

Aspalis:" don't worry, Artemis did tell me one thing about Alcaeus that should make us have a little hope he will win this"

Sharifa:" his treasury if all goes wrong"

Aspalis:"... I one time asked Artemis about Alcaeus's abilities and she had many good things to say about his abilities, in fact, we shouldn't worry at all given that"

a few years back, Aspalis had found out she had a crush on Atalan, so she asked Artemis about him to know him better.

Artemis:" you want to know about Atalan and his likes and dislikes... well... if I had to say one thing, he's probably going to surpass my skill's and abilities, and quite soon at that"

Kame:" really, but Atalan said he can only hope to have an ounce of your skill one day"

Artemis:" don't take what he say's about his abilities too seriously, he's far too modest for his own good, and he idolizes me as if I'm still granted my divine presence even though I should have renounced those kind's of privileges to be here, so he see's me as someone he cannot match no matter what, but when you look at what he can do, he's already got me beat in some area's, he's been taught everything I know of hand to hand combat and can beat me if he really tried, his hunting skills are to a degree where it's as natural to him as breathing and can even beat me in hunting at times, he far surpasses me in medical and cooking"

Kame:" oh yeah, I know he's a better cook as well"

Artemis:" honestly, he was cooking since he was 5 since he was so good at it, and that time in the elves kingdom only further improved his skill's in cooking, but back on track, as for archery itself... as the goddess of archery, I will not make light of this, but he can match me in how far he can shot a target and hit it accurately, but when it comes to trick shot's like using the wind and environment to hit your target's from behind object's, he actually has me beat"

Kame:" really"

Artemis:" in time, he will be taught everything I can teach him, and to get stronger, he'll have to find another to teach him, then he would have likely surpassed me"

Kame:"... does it irritate you goddess"

Artemis:" the opposite in fact, I'm looking forward to seeing what he becomes, and even more so that he does surpass me, if he becomes someone great, I can take pride in knowing I was a big part in it, as well as wanting to see him do great thing's with what I taught him... though if I had one complaint about him... it's that he should take more pride in himself, being too prideful lead's to arrogance, but it's not necessarily bad to be arrogant from time to time, as long as you have the right time and place, it isn't something to be ashamed of, the key is moderation after all"

Kame:"... you think Atalan will be able to realize he's surpassed you"

Artemis:"... I'm afraid even if he becomes a level 5 or 6, maybe even 7 or 8, he'll still says I'm his better when he would be more than able to beat me by then... maybe I should have taught him to be a bit more arrogant when the calling is right"

Kame:" he's not that blind to his own strength is he"

Artemis:"... if he does end up like that, I want no one saying I made him end up like that... please"

back to the present, everyone watches as Alcaeus battle's the headless dragon and as he does get one limb chopped off, he gets hit by the tail to then jump up again and run even though it seems one of his arms is broken, and as he got to the last limb, the dragon was able to get an attack, but Alcaeus then gut through the limb, cutting the bone in 2 as it's severed, but not before it can send him flying, the dragon then died as it turned to dust and dropped some dragon scales and horns but Alcaeus was knocked unconscious as the 5 watching can finally intervene now, though, the other dragons took notice and came, so Carmilla and Sharifa made a stand.

Carmilla:" don't worry, we'll bye time for you all, just get Alcaeus to safety, he's the most at risk after all"

Makeda:" but there are so many"

Sharifa:" Camilla can attack and I can use my magic to blow up as many as we can, we're both level strong enough to handle this, so we should be able to win if we try"

the other's left as Camilla asked if they could pull it off, but Sharifa said she thinks they can but should be prepared to run, and as they fought, they fought off about a dozen dragon's, and after the battle, both were battered and very hurt, Camilla got a broken arm and Sharifa had a shattered leg as she was close to all her Mana being gone, but they won.

Sharifa:" by the god's and goddesses, we won, we actually won"

Camilla:" yeah, we did... I'm honestly surprised we won and didn't have to run"

Sharifa:" we work well together, we both may have leveled up after this really, and with my status as high as it is, I may level up"

Camilla:" mine as well, if we both level up, let's show each other our power"

Sharifa:" sure, I have a feeling we'll be great friend's, especially since we have the same husband now"

Camilla:" ... right, I'm married now, and with Alcaceus completing the quest, we can go back now"

as they went back, they were treated for their wound's and as they got back, many people, especially the king's and queen's as they welcomed their new son in law as he is to marry them, though, one of the royal's were upset, though, she then got pissed behind closed doors.

Bella:" damn it, he wasn't suppose to actually do it, I though that limiting him would help, but it didn't... fine, all that work on that other bastard is wasted, however, all I need to do is seduce this kid and I should be fine"

though, as Alaceus was marrying the other's, he was sure to make sure they were untouched till they could leave him for their own happiness, but then the king's and queen's set one more condition to keep their hand.
