Chapter 115: Coming Clean

After Ian positioned Mina comfortably on the bed in his study, he gently cleaned and treated a small cut on her palm. Her knees were exposed, and he could see that both were scraped. Wanting to treat them as well, Ian attempted to roll Mina's dress up a little, but she reached out and slapped him hard. Stunned speechless he heard his friend tease him about Mina being drunk not dead.

"Since you are the expert you do it," Ian said.

"Sure," Zane replied, but Ian changed his mind just like Zane knew he would.

"On second thought, just tell me what to do." Zane chuckled at Ian.

"Use your words. Tell her what you are doing." Ian was skeptical, but he still followed Zane's advice.

"Mina, your knees are hurt, I am just putting medicine on them. I won't do anything else." The girl did not respond but this time, when he lifted her dress, she did not hit him. Ian could not understand how someone who was too drunk to open their eyes or walk, could still remember to slap a wandering hand away. He ignored his thoughts and using a cotton swab, he cleaned Mina's wounds; he looked up to see a slight grimace on her face and knew that the alcohol he was using probably burned, so he gently blew on the area and her facial muscles relaxed. He repeated the process on the other side, and when he was done, Mina made herself more comfortable on his bed.

"Should I get someone to change her clothing?" he asked.

"Why can't you do it yourself?" Zane asked teasingly and Ian shot him a warning look. The two men exited the study and went down to Ian's bar.

----

After pouring themselves drinks, Zane finally probed Ian.

"You and Mina, I think there is more to the story than you are telling me." Ian nodded at Zane's assumption.

"I don't want to violate her privacy," Ian said.

"Huh? I'm your best friend. Who would I tell?" Ian sighed. There were things he wanted to tell Zane and ask him about, but he didn't know how to. "Okay, how about this. Start from the beginning and I'll ask you questions when I get to a part that I don't understand." Zane said and Ian agreed.

Ian started out by saying that the mints they ate in the room were laced with some sort of drug. He followed up by telling Zane that after a few minutes, he started to flirt with Mina, who was complaining about feeling weird. As he was also drugged, he either ignored her or didn't understand her concerns.

Ian said that they, or rather he, flirted for a long time, before he told Mina that he had seen her in the past. She also admitted to seeing him once before. He told Zane that after they confessed their fondness for one another, they kissed, and it was the first for them both.

Ian told Zane that after kissing her just once, he lifted Mina up and carried her to the bed in the room, where he continued to kiss her as they talked about random things. He said that under the influence of the drug, everything felt amplified, so even talking to one another was like a form of foreplay.

After he declared that they were a couple, Ian coaxed Mina out of her clothing. He told her that he just wanted to kiss every inch of her body, but in hindsight, he knew he wanted to do much more than that. He asked her to be with him, but she refused. She told him that she wasn't ready, especially because she didn't know him. She said she wanted the experience to be special. He said that Mina asked him to cuddle with her instead, and he agreed. As they cuddled, they kissed and talked some more, and the more he got to know her the more he wanted her. So he asked for her body again. Mina told him that she was untouched, and he told her that he had not touched anyone. Unable to control himself and, without waiting for her permission, Ian took Mina's body for himself.

Looking back, Ian admitted that Mina looked confused the entire time they were together, but they were also in total bliss. He knew it was her first time, but every time he asked her if it hurt, she just buried her face in his neck and kissed him. He couldn't tell if she wanted him to stop or continue, but he wasn't sure he would have been able to stop if she had asked him too. He told Zane that he didn't stop even when her body went limp. She was still awake, but she had no more energy left to give him. He told his friend that six or seven hours had gone by before he was finally too exhausted to continue. His body was still feeling good everywhere, so he pulled Mina in close to feel her against his skin, promising that they would clear things up in the morning. He said that he felt Mina relax, and they slept in each other's arms.

Unfortunately for them both, when they woke up, they did not remember anything. Mina was terribly sick, her body was full of marks, and her lower half was covered in her own blood. Knowing that she had been assaulted, he said that Mina begged him to take her to the hospital but he was so angry that he slept with a stranger for his first time, that he coldly ignored her. It was only after her body began to seize, and her breathing became shallow that he instructed one of his subordinates to put her in a duffle bag. She rode in the trunk all the way to the women's hospital where he had her treated. After she was examined and had her injuries tended, he found out that she had lost something precious that night. It made him sick then, and it still made him sick now, but he did not want to believe that he was the one who had hurt Mina, but as his sister said, DNA does not lie.
