Chapter 491: Free Swirl

Mills chased after Mina and when she caught up to the woman, she pulled her in the direction of a restaurant rather than the hotel. Mina was hungry, so she did not protest, and she allowed Mills to order for them both. Mills tried to cheer her up, but it was not like she was heartbroken. Mina was just annoyed that she had entertained the idea of a romantic relationship with anyone knowing that men saw her body before anything else, and most of them only wanted her for that one reason.

"Not all men are the same," Mills said as she laid her hand on top of Mina's. The woman glared at her, and Mills laughed from the cuteness of it.

"They may not be, but I only seem to attract the ones that are."

"Carson doesn't count, he is an idiot, but for everyone else, it's because of the way you dress." Mina looked at Mills in confusion because she was an extremely conservative dresser. It had been ingrained into her since young. "Do you know why I show everything off? It's because it leaves less to the imagination. I don't have to worry about men wanting to see what's underneath my clothing." Mina snorted.

"Mills, I don't think putting your body on display protects you. From the moment I saw you I was silenced by your beauty and intimidating aura, everything else was secondary." Mills blushed and Mina was taken aback.

"Sorry, it's just; I have never heard another woman call me beautiful." Mina chuckled.

"Then you need to meet my friends. They will do nothing except gush over you; especially Willow." Mills shifted in her chair while pushing a strand of hair out of her sun kissed face. Mina did a double take and she reached up and grabbed Mills' hand. "Congratulations?" She questioned, not sure if the ring she was looking at was just a gift.

"Thank you," the woman replied bashfully. "Will you come to my wedding when a day is set?" Mina nodded enthusiastically. She had never gone to a wedding of someone she considered a friend. "And will you be in my wedding?" Mina smiled sweetly at the honor.

"Of course! But why aren't you with Drax? Shouldn't you two be celebrating?" Mills' face turned red with the thoughts of how she and her fiancé celebrated. "Is it because of me? I'm sorry Mills." Mills shook her head and released Mina's hand.

"I already celebrated with him, now I want to celebrate it with you." Mills gestured for the check and paid the bill. "Let's go back to the room and get changed."

----

Mina found herself in a tourist nightclub with Mills, this time, she picked her own clothing, and wore a fitted floral print strapless crop top with high waisted jean shorts. Mills approved of the outfit, and she slipped into something similar, except she wore a skintight pencil skirt that showed off her toned butt. Both women wore sandals on their feet, wanting to maximize their comfort.

Mills pulled Mina to dance with her and having been taking lessons from the woman for most of the time they were getting ready, Mina was much better at it. She swayed to the music, not provocatively the way Mills did, but just enough to show Mills that she was having fun. They laughed when several men came to dance with Mills, and she flashed her ring at them as if it were some sort of warding stone.

Mina felt like she needed one of those, because she was not so lucky, and no matter how many times she said no to some of the men who asked her to dance; she still ended up hiding behind Mills, who had to twist a few arms on her behalf.

Mina was laughing when the club DJ put on a song that called out dance moves, which neither of them knew, so they made up on the spot. The women were laughing hysterically at their silly interpretations when Mills' face fell. Mina did not understand the reaction, until she turned around and saw Carson making his way toward her.

Mina skipped away from the area, not wanting to make a scene, or even talk to the man. They were strangers who owed each other nothing, so there was no reason to think he was going to come find her, but of course, she was wrong.

"I want to apologize for not being upfront. Being separated is usually not the way a man introduces himself to a beautiful woman." Mina rolled her eyes.

"A separated, not divorced man shouldn't be introducing himself to a beautiful woman." As soon as she said it, Mina's face turned red, and she put her hand on her forehead in embarrassment. She had not meant to call herself beautiful, but she did.

"Okay miss 'rather be invisible' you win. I just wanted to make sure you knew the truth before your 'boss' fed you lies about me."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. What was 'that' about?" Mina asked, mimicking the air quotes that Carson had just used while saying the word boss.

"I'm just saying, bosses don't usually take their employees on romantic getaways."

"Eww," Mina said, making Carson chuckle.

"Did I read wrong? Because he seems very possessive over you."

"You read way wrong. He is just entitled and doesn't understand boundaries." Carson laughed at Mina's word then extended his hand to her.

"Start over?" He asked, but Mina did not take it.

"As friends only?" she quizzed, seeing a slightly disappointed look cross Carson's face before she shrugged and walked back to Mills who high fived Mina for leaving the man hanging.

"Drink this," Mills said, handing Mina a pretty and swirly cocktail that tasted like juice. Mina's eyes lit up, and Mills grinned as she watched the woman down the alcoholic beverage.

----

Mina was at the pinnacle of buzzed as she left the nightclub. She felt good, no, she felt free as she stumbled toward the hotel with Mills. The women stopped and bought small finger foods on their way back, giggling as the vendors flirted with them.

Back in their room, the women stripped down to their underwear, and Mills went straight to the bar, wanting to continue celebrating with Mina, who was a fun drunk. Mina joined her after being teased as a party pooper, and the women began to chat about intimate details of their life. Mills asked Mina about the guy named Paul, and in her drunken state, Mina admitted that Carson and Paul looked similar. She told Mills that in a way, she was looking at him as a replacement for the man she felt she lost. Mills patted Mina's arms in a placating gesture, and Mina rested her head on the bar, never to lift it again.

Mills laughed loudly, realizing that Mina was passed out. She put a blanket over the woman and called Drax to help her lift Mina into bed. When the man came, he cursed loudly when he saw that she was only in lingerie, and just by looking at the cover over Mina's shoulders, he could tell she was also undressed.

"I'm warning you Mills…"

"Oh relax, Mina and I are secure in our sexuality. You on the other hand..." Drax's brow furrowed, and Mills burst into laughter. The man pulled off his shirt and put it over her head. Mills frowned, not understanding why he was being so conservative when he had already seen all of her. It only dawned on her when President Lee strutted out of one of the rooms.

Mills was about to protest, but president Lee promised that he would not look at or touch Mina in an inappropriate manner, which served to calm the drunk woman. She was still uncomfortable, but Drax picked her up bridal style and gave her a look that said they were going to have another long night, which distracted her.

"This is going to be fun," Drax said, as he carried his drunk fiancé out of the room.
