Chapter 513: Pranked

Ash had hung back wanting to give Willow privacy, but she heard a woman shout, and she threw that plan right out of the window. Wanting to hear what the women would say, Ash stood just outside of the door and out of sight, but when she heard the sure sound of a slap, she revealed herself. She leaned against the door frame expecting her friend to rip the woman who hit her to shreds, but Willow defeatedly turned to walk away and Ash's anger boiled over.

"Your facts are wrong." Ash walked inside of the room and leaned on the wall. "It's your brother who has been chasing my friend around."

"What are you talking about? and who the hell-"

"Ashlyn Tanner," Ash interrupted rudely. "Like I said, your facts are wrong. Do you think Willow put him in the hospital?" She questioned. Jeremy started to curse at Ash, while she smiled at him in a mocking fashion. "Your brother drugged my friend last night. He was caught, and his injuries are as a result. As for his relationship-" Ash dug in her pocket and withdrew a folded piece of paper that both Jeremy and Willow recognized. The man tried to scramble to grab it, but the two women near him would not let him worsen his injuries. "This is what he brought to Willow, who was at a private event; he was not on the guest list." Jeremy's sister looked at the paper then furrowed her brows while looking at Claire.

"Jeremy isn't the father of the baby?" Claire stiffened, but not out of guilt. She released Jeremy's hand and the man tried to reach for it again, begging her to listen to him. Ash glanced at Willow, who wore a confused and hurt expression.

"I have a friend who works in this lab. He said that for a few hundred bucks, anyone can purchase a negative paternity test." Jeremy's sister looked at her brother and finally understood.

"Why would you bring this to her? I thought you wanted to be with Claire. I thought you were happy about the pregnancy."

"I do-" Jeremy said. His eyes briefly landed on Willow before they turned back to his sister. "But I love Willow."

"Enough to violate her?"

"Oh goodness Jeremy, what did you do?" His mother cried.

"Nothing!" He shouted. "I couldn't do it mom; I didn't touch her."

"Because you got caught," Willow screamed. She pulled a ring from off a necklace she wore and threw it at Jeremy, who was begging her to listen to him. "Shut up! I came here to tell you, once again, that it is over between us. I am happy your family is here to witness this, because I want them to know the truth too." Willow went into detail about everything Jeremy had confessed the night before, while Claire sat sobbing, holding her belly, clearly rethinking becoming a parent. "I am sorry, but we were all lied to." Willow left the room, but Ash stayed behind.

"I have the footage from the storage room. It's quite clear. If you come near my friend again, I will destroy you." Jeremy had no idea who the hideous woman was, but she spoke with an intensity that told him she was serious.

----

It had been weeks, and Willow had been staying with Mina since her ordeal at the hospital. She mostly stayed in bed, but every now and then, she went with Olivia to work. With the distraction, Willow started to become more like herself, and she signed a temporary employment contract with Rouge as a video and stage makeup artist. Happy to be useful, she and Olivia started toying with the idea of branching out from Rouge and taking Jay and Emma with them. It was not a horrible venture, and without word from her uncle about the sale of her family home, Mina had the capital to invest in the women.

Ash had gone back on assignment, but she promised to visit as often as possible. She was still in Pan, but when she was working, she cut all ties to her real life. Mills had been spending lots of time with the women, and as expected, she fit right into the group. She and Drax had been fighting more recently, and Mina felt bad for the woman, who had moved across the country for love, only to find herself miserable and alone.

In one of their male bashing sessions, the women got onto the topic of Bastien, and Mills offered her services. They called Zane, who said that he would help with the arrangements, but Mina held herself back from their plans. She already had President Cameron Lee randomly showing up, and while he did nothing bad to her; it was still unnerving that the man was taking time out of his busy day to sit outside her apartment complex and chat with her in his car, sometimes for minutes, sometimes for hours.

During Mina's last conversation with President Cameron, the man had pretty much told her that he would keep pestering her until she was married. In a lot of ways, it pushed Mina toward Connor, but he cut ties with her, telling her that he had a girlfriend and wanted to try to remain faithful. Mina was okay with that, in fact she was relieved by it, but now she needed to find a distraction for the President.

----

Just as Mina had guessed, President Cameron was waiting for her after work. She didn't even try to run this time; she just got in the car with a pout. The man laughed at her before offering her a prepackaged meal that she flatly denied. If it came from a Lee, it could not be trusted. The President shrugged at her refusal and began to eat the cheesy dough right in front of her.

"You're a real sadist; you know that?" Cameron laughed. He had done his research and found that Mina liked cheese, bread, beef, and sweets. Not one for desserts, he had been trying to woo her with regular food, but so far, he had not even been able to get Mina to take a single bite.

"When are you going to just give in?" He asked, and Mina scoffed. "You really don't like me, do you?"

"President Cameron-"

"Cam," he corrected.

"President Cameron," Mina continued, unwilling to be informal with the man. "Not everyone is obligated to like you. I know plenty of women who do not."

"Lies," Cameron said loudly. He looked mildly irritated, because he knew from Luna that Mina did not base relationships on physical attraction. She genuinely disliked him as a person, which he believed was rare.

"What do I have to gain from lying? I can call one right now." Cameron made a gesture for Mina to call the person, and she first called Rachel to get Camille Emming's number, setting the phone to speaker. The women made casual conversation, with Mina apologizing for the way she behaved when they last met, then the real discussion began.

"Are you going to spill it or what? How the hell did you get the Presidential Mark of Achievement from the @sshole in chief?"

"It's funny that you mention him, because he is sitting right across from me." Cameron's mouth was hung open from the butchering of his title, but he remained silent as he listened to the woman on the phone laugh loudly.

"And you are able to keep your food down?" Mina giggled, and Cam broke.

"Excuse me, but what do you mean 'able to keep your food down'?" Camille was quiet for a few seconds before she laughed again. She did not believe Mina was sitting with the nation's leader, and she thought she was being pranked.

"Well for starters, the man shoots bullsh!t out of his mouth whenever he speaks, and if Mina was with him, she would surely become ill or suffocate from the stench."
