Desperate to for her next source of income, Mina aligns herself with the wrong people, and finds herself amid several conspiracies that keep becoming more and more confounded by misunderstandings. She is mistaken for a spy, by one of the most influential families in the country and held captive as the confusion, mishaps and misunderstandings build up all around her. Under the extreme circumstance, Mina is thrown into despair, hatred and love all that the same time, but will the experience break her or make her ‘better?’ 

(This story is set in a fictional, modern day patriarchal society on the brink of a shift public opinion on the 'role' of the woman.)

When a Genius Makes a Mistake

Back with her family, Mina scooped Lady into her arms, gushing over the clothes the little girl had been changed into. She had to hand it to President Lee, who obviously put thought into what an infant would need. He had even gotten a walker for Lady to use, and while Sadie seemed to be worried, Mina was not. She knew he would not hurt Lady because he understood her niece's importance.

"You're acting weird," Sadie said. "Did something happen?" Mina's face turned red, and Sadie pulled her into a far corner. "What's going on?"

"Nothing," Mina replied. "I just keep thinking about stealing his clothes," she lied.

"Please tell me you left him with nothing," Sadie said with a giggle. She was the one who suggested leaving the man in such a state and she was happy her sister found it as funny as she did.

"No, but his expression when he saw me leaving was what made it funny."
