Ian did not think that Mina would have dropped the situation with Sadie as quickly as she did, and he was aware that she was showing him that she trusted his judgment and would keep her word. She promised him that she would listen to him when he decided that the dinner was taking a turn that was too dark, and knowing that her parents were likely unaware that her sister was the one who pushed their mother, she let it go.
