Chapter 874: Legal Implications

Ian waited for Mina to work through her breathing before they stepped out of the car, and even though he held their son in his arms, he also held onto her hand, knowing that she was terrified. He did not want to delegitimize her trauma, but he could tell that it was exaggerated by something more. She was displaying symptoms of something he read, but he did not know how to approach it. The books were clear on the steps he should take, but it was hard to apply them to someone he loved.

"Babe, the minute you feel uncomfortable, tell me and we can leave."

"Then we would be leaving right now," Mina whispered, smiling as she tried to work through her fear. "This is partly hormonal, but I may need help." Ian was happy that his wife brought it up before he could, but instead of replying, he squeezed her hand with a nod.

"I'm here for you as well."
