Chapter 32

"AAAHHH!"

What the heck was that. Waking up from bed, I noticed the rest of the students already out of bed, wondering the same thing.

"It's coming from outside.." said Alexander as he grabbed a bath robe from the coat hanger, following the beeline of students that were slowly walking outside. The rest of us, slowly followed, although I ran slightly faster trying to catch up with Alexander.

The line came to an end in the courtyard, students gathered in a circle, whispers circulated around. I finally caught sight of Alexander staring aimlessly, grabbing the sleeve of his bathrobe, I was about to shout at him when I noticed what the students were staring at...

A dead body.

Laying in a heap on the grassy field was the departed body of a student. His blonde curls, clothes were all soaked in the blood of his own body as they dyed the grass red.

Older boys were covering the eyes of the younger ones as they fell silent.

"What ..happened." mumbled Oliver as he stared at the scene in horror.

Reius averted his eyes, no longer able to hold his gaze.

....

No words could be said for the rest of us, however for a moment I thought I saw something, strange.... A lady with wavy black hair lying on the ground, blood oozing from an open wound in her abdomen, her purple and black dress forming lifelessly...

The image suddenly faded away when a voice called out, " WHY ARE YOU BOYS OUT OF BED FOR!"

Standing there at the entranceway were the teachers. Sir Lin in a nightgown hurriedly walked up, a candle in his hand. He was about to start reprimanding us when he saw the murder scene.

Mr Fletcher in shock, instructed us to return to the dorm. Tugging on the sleeve of his kimono as he says this. We did as he said, lowering our head as we observed a 3 minutes of silence.

(Timeskip)

Returning to the dorm, Ross goes to the pantry to make some hot chocolate to calm our nerves.

Taking a seat near the fireplace, the mood seemed to gloom under the darkness of the night.

"Did anyone here know the victim?" asked Reius as he took a small sip from his mug

"I did..."

We turned shock at Oliver standing by the doorway, illuminated only by the light of the candle. Uncomfortable with everyone looking at him, he looked down. " Frank Lousworth. He...used to accompany Alistair, I mean, Mr Fletcher and I to our nightly tea parties."

Frank Lousworth...something tells me that this isn't going to be the end, huh....

"The school will have to be prepared to face his parents." was all I said, knowing full well that the school will be in jeopardy.

Sighing, Alexander stands up going back to his bed, " You guys should go rest, tomorrow's going to be busy.."

With that the candle lights were extinguished and we all went to sleep although frankly the events of tonight kept me awake.

Suddenly, in the darkness, I could feel something warm clutch my hand and faintly a whisper, " Its alright...go to sleep.."

Reius thank you....

(Courtyard: The teachers)

"We better be prepared to notify his parents." said Sir Lin as he massaged his forehead.

Everyone nodded their heads, pained looks on their faces.

Never in Magi's school history had there ever been a murder and one such as this would definitely cause no end of trouble for them.

"Are we too cancel the competition?" asked Rufus as he jotted down all the information needed for a funeral.

Sir Lin was about to say yes when Alistair interfered, " Even if we cancel the event, there would be no end to these acts if the criminal was a serial killers. Let's see us, if the situation continue to persevere then we will be forced to act with the girl's school and the police to apprehend the fiend."

Silence...Alistair had made a good point but the safety of the students...

"I think I'll agree with the Mr fletcher, after all the situation itself is still unstable. Let's observe, okay?" said Nao, a small frown on his face.

The teacher's were slightly taken aback, never would they see Nao act so serious before after all he was acted a little....eccentric.

After a few more minutes of examinations, they decided to go back to their rooms, resuming their investigations the next day.

" Zin can we leave you to wrap this up? asked Alistair, tears in his eyes.

Zin, a beastia with long green hair and matching animal ears, a hair ornament clipped onto his hair.

Zin nodded before gently placing his student's body in a body bag. Gold eyes stared into the darkness, before shouting towards the dark, " YOU CAN COME OUT NOW!"

Walking from behind a pillar, Theo revealed himself.

"You were always good at aura concealment." commented Zin

"Tell me the details."

Zin simply smiled knowing his son would say something like that, " Sure but help me up for a second."

"You!"
