Chapter 34

(Middle of unknown mountain)

Palms sweating, Lidel gripped the surface of a branch stick as he climbed up the mountains. He was dressed in a similar attire to the one before albeit with less details.

"So tired....Can't we take a break?!"

That person was a pale young man wearing a sun hat over his white hair that was braided with flowers. His attire, a white long sleeve shirt and bottoms with matching shoes. A brown ribbon tied around his neck.

"That's what you get for wearing such a casual attire also....why the hell am I the only one wearing travelling clothes?!" shouted Shahid. It was true though. Unlike the two, all he wore was a simple thawb with a headscarf, covering his green hair.

It somewhat angered the poor Scarabian god that Aurin and Lidel were wearing such Flamboyant clothes yet he had gone to the effort to at least wear some casual clothes.

"Why the hell did Shen Ao have to built his house in such a dense area?" Aurin panted " I mean he could have built it somewhere else where its easier to access."

Before, Shahid could strangle the damn brat , Lidel intervened.

"Aurin, would you want to be bothered endlessly by humans and you should know what his like."

That immediately shut him up.

Lidel, after leaving his domain had gotten the help of Shahid to find the Arborean god. It wasn't difficult, the guy was laying there in a palace, enjoying his time and now they were trying to find the god of Koun.

It took months but finally, they found the location.

Hiking up the mountain, the path visibly grew more steep and the mist surrounding them thicker. The three immortals soon felt it difficult to even continue.

'This mist isn't normal....did Shen ao cast this?' thought Aurin, violet eyes narrowed.

"Everyone step back." Waving a hand, in less than 5 minutes the mist cleared.

Just what you expect from the most powerful god ( From us four anyway.)

Turning his head, Lidel smiled at them. The kind that made them fill like being watch by a beast.

"Now then shall we..."

The group of three 'gods' continued their hike up the mountain. It was only when night fell did they finally reach their destination. A simple hut , surrounded by trees and numerous other greenery. All in all, it was very peaceful ( Secluded)

"I can't believe he actually built a house over here." said Shahid in exasperation as he wiped some sweat off his forehead.

The trio proceeded to knock on the door when suddenly it opened. Before them was a man with red hair cut into a bob shape with white tinges and pink eyes. His attire a simple hakama with a maroon coloured scarf wrapped around him. However that was not the strangest thing, the strange part to them at least, was the wheelchair he was seated on.

"Shen ao..." mumbled Aurin under his breath.

Shen ao sighed, " Come in."

The hut, a simple wooden one was small barely fitting the four immortals. A single bed stood at one end of the room. Herbs and cookery were hung on the walls. There was only one furnace bringing warmth to the entire area, which was barely enough thanks to the mist.

They settled down quickly, taking their seats on the bed. The wheelchair it seemed to be operated on magic, Shen ao did not even need to lift a finger to move around as he handed them each a cup of .....what the hell was it?

Looking at the drink in a cautious manner, Aurin and Shahid were about to ask what kind of drink was it till Lidel took it in one gulp.

" Sour with a hint of mango." Commented Lidel as he sat the cup down.

A small smile could be seen on Shen ao's face, " Thank you Lidel, its Sea buckthorn juice. Good for your health."

Shahid and Aurin couldn't help but share a glance, the both of them thinking the same thing ' damn mr perfect.' before taking a huge gulp.

Once they finished drinking, tension filled the air.

" Now then, why the hell did you guys come here. There's no point of coming here if you don't have a motive." Grabbing an umbrella, he pointed it towards them in a hostile manner.

They were frankly quite shock but shook it off in no time, calmly Lidel said, " Your right in saying we have a motive and you must have felt it too. The story breaking.."

Silence befell on them as they realised how serious the situation was.

"And that's not the only problem. Apep, his risen." Shahid face was contorted in thinly veiled fury. The others sighed, they all knew of Shahid's contempt for that demonic snake. It was after all the reason he passed on the story to the real world.

"What?! So the incident on the wedding was it-" Aurin was cut short as he was elbowed in the ribs. "Ow..."

"I see" Shen ao was contemplating, if the story was really going off the script then.....panic filled him as he snapped his fingers, a worn book immediately flew towards him.

Untying the string binding it, Shen ao took a look at the pages. It was just like they said. The words and illustrations that had once decorated its pages were now dripping wet and blurred, its once former beauty now diminished to nothing but sticky goo.

Holding it at arms length, all of them turn their heads away. It was disgusting.

"eeewww...."

Throwing the book into the furnace, Shen ao already knew what had to be done.

"I know, I have to make contact with the characters here in Koun right, but I think it's going to be difficult."

"What do you mean?!" shouted Shahid and Lidel, Aurin was still laying on the bed, clutching his hurting ribs.

"The Koun characters well one of them has been hijack and this person has been making every thing difficult." Shen ao shaked his head, " but if its for the sake of this world then I'll try my best."

They all smiled, by working together with the characters they were definitely going to fix it.

"argh...it hurts." wined Aurin, suddenly he stood up.

"What's wrong?" asked Shahid, slightly alarmed.

"Shen ao, where's the toilet! I need the toilet! NOW!"

Shen ao pointed his hands outside the door. The cold wind breezing in through the window.

"I don't have a toilet, only an outhouse."

For a moment, the cawing of ravens could be heard.

"WHAT! AAAHHH, NEVER MIND!" Aurin ran out of the hut.

"Maybe I should get a real bathroom." mumbled Shen ao as he hung his head low.

The others couldn't help but nod their heads, agreeing at the statement especially since their stomachs were now having some problems as well.

What the hell did you add into the juice?
