Third Person's Point of View
Rebecca was summoned at the counselor's office for questioning.
Suzy and Ashley were waiting anxiously at the library for update about their friend. They were sitting on the floor behind one of the bookshelves.
Suzy keep on shifting from her seat while Ashley is playing with her fingers.
"I'm afraid, Ash," Suzy whispered.
"Why, Suz?"
"I'm afraid about being dragged in this mess."
Ashley shifted from her seat and faced her nervous friend.
"Everything will be okay soon, Suz. We did nothing wrong. We just need to answer all the detective's questions."
She held Suzy's hand and gave her a reassuring look.
"But things are getting more twisted as days passed by, Ash. What if tomorrow, we will just be informed that Aira is dead? What if we became suspects too?" Suzy's voice cracked.
Ashley understood her friend's feelings because like Suzy, she is afraid too of how things might end up. They just played a prank that night but they didn't know how that prank had helped in the crime. They were clueless if that prank had an effect to this situation.
She hugged her and caressed her back.
"We need to be ztrong, Suz. We're not zure of anything yet. Let'z not take responsibility for something that we're not certain yet. What if Aira iz juzt making a zcene now? What if this iz juzt her game? What if zhe'z not really raped? We all know that zhe iz a two-faced bitch. Let'z not forget that."
"What if she's not, Ashley? What if this is all serious? What if I will be imprisoned because I played a part on it?" Suzy's voice risen that shocked her friend. She's trembling while crying now.
"What did you do, Suzy?" Ashley asked in the air.
Ashley remained calmed while hushing Suzy. But she was left thinking silently about what her friend said. Suzy doesn't seem to be in her right state right now so she opt not to ask her anymore. She needs to calm her first before she will be called by the detectives.
Little did they know that someone is listening at the other side of the bookshelf.
