Souvenirs

"I need to talk to someone." He said, clearly irritated as he tugged at her hand, dragging her away from the crowd to god knows where.

"Who?" Cathryn asked.

"Hurry before we get mobbed."

Her eyebrows knitted together. Why would they get mobbed? Cathryn wasn't some kind of superstar. Dude didn't automatically become a superstar just because he had cool tattoos.

He must be fifty shades delirious!

Cathryn glanced behind her and a mob of girls was following them slowly, trying to be discreet as they pointed their camera at them.

What the fuck is this?

Dude made a mistake of looking behind his shoulder too and his eyes widened in alarm.

He pushed her forward and yelled, "Run Red. Fast! We've got to lose them. I'll be right behind you."

Cathryn quickened her pace and the girls started to run after them.

What the fuck.

"Fuck this!" Cathryn muttered as sweat run down her spine.

She fucking hated running.

"Dude, I think we need to separate. I'm dying." Cathryn yelled breathlessly as the sea wind whipped her hair harshly to her eyes and face. They navigated to more crowded places, hoping they could lose them for good.

"It's okay for me. I have the cheque." Cathryn heard him say behind her. "I can make myself scarce if you want."

Oh yes, the fucking check.

He still had it.

"Fuck you," Cathryn screamed, holding out her hand but he slapped them away. "Give that to me."

"No, can do." He shot back. "We need to focus on running."

Argh. He's too stubborn.

"Okay, I think we need to hide." Cathryn looked around. She thought about getting inside some kind of shop would save them.

"Over there, quick! Inside that souvenir shop." Cathryn flung the door open and pulled Dude inside then locked it.

The motion sent the wind chimes tingling. She saw an old woman behind the counter and pleaded, wide-eyed, "We need to hide. Help us."

"Are you a criminal, my dear?" The old woman asked calmly.

"No, mam." The dude suddenly said, keeping pace beside her. "I'm a band vocalist mam, but not that popular. I think those are the fans that recognized me." He waved a hand as loud girly squeals were heard, motioning outside. "Or perhaps, something else."

Bunch of lies. Very good. Perhaps, that would save them.

Cathryn shut up and stared expectantly at the old woman and dude as they stared at each other. She didn't miss the old woman swallowing as she ogled his dragon tattoos.

"Were you part of the Henna Tattoo Contest not far from here, my dear?"

"Yes!" Both of them exclaimed.

"Okay, I'll help the two of you."

She ushered them to the small restroom which can only fit one person. They hid the check behind the counter then hurriedly went inside. Cathryn climbed at the toilet seat and stood there so that he can get inside, his feet on the cold tiles.

She looked down at that exact moment when his light brown eyes met hers.

"Don't forget to buy something from my souvenir shop when you're free, my dears." The old lady said sweetly as she locked the door.

Cathryn cleared her throat and their eye contact broke as an awkward silence descended upon them.

Oh shit. Now, they have stuck here alone in this too-tight space. Together.

Just like what he probably wanted.

The sexual tension is too thick for her she could hardly breathe. Cathryn was holding her breath, her inhales and exhales were louder than the heavy pounding in her heart. The silence was too unbearable.

Cathryn cast him another quick assessing glance, skimming on his bare chest, and focused on his face.

He kept on licking his lips and her gaze fell on them instead. She could have sworn twin pink circles have painted her cheeks right now, and her pulse kicked up another notch. Desire washed over her, barely discernible, but they're all the same.

Cathryn flinched when two large hands attached itself on her waist and she scowled at that knowing smirk as it flirted on those luscious lips.

Cathryn needed to break this kind of weird atmosphere. She needed to do something.

As in, RIGHT NOW.

"Here. Let's take a picture." She pulled something out of her pocket and thrust her iPhone 7 to him. He had a longer arm than her and she forgot to bring the selfie stick. "I haven't taken a picture of you when you were up that stage."

"In the restroom?" He asked. "Seriously?"

"Yep." Cathryn would do anything as long as they don't stare at each other all the time.

"Don't worry. Those dolphin girls have plenty of them. Believe me, they'd post it at Twitter and worse, they'd tag me." He said, annoyed.

"How about a picture together? The two of us? I want to post my work on social media, too. My friends have to see them. Do you mind?" She blurted as she slapped his hands away from her body.

He smiled before nodding his head. "I'd love that. They'd see my face on your wall, wouldn't they?"

Sorry, Cathryn would have to leave his face censored on social media. But, she didn't say that. His face was that of a sex god and she was afraid she would receive a ton of messages from my friends, classmates, or strangers wanting to know his name if ever she posted his face on her wall in public.

And so they posed in that small restroom of a souvenir shop. Well, as much as the small space would allow them.

Cathryn flipped the bird at the camera and he looked at her for a second. She arched an eyebrow at him as if asking 'Why? Any problems?'

He shook his head, chuckling, as he did the same and followed her pose. Cathryn made a duck face at the camera and he stuck his tongue out playfully.

"Posting it on Instagram?" He asked as he looked over her phone as she grabbed it from him to look at the pictures. "Follow and tag me at---"

"Ssshh! Not tagging you. I'm sending this 'Fuck You' message to someone." Cathryn moved so that he couldn't see what she typed.

Fuck you, Edward.

Cathryn typed quickly as the dude hovered over her trying to check out what she was doing.

See what you're missing out on? You wouldn't appear so I'm going to claim all the hot guys in the world and no one... NO ONE would be left for you. *insert evil laugh*

Cathryn attached the photo with a message and sent it to her best friend.

"Now this is for social media," She announced as she took a lot of photos of him. He stood in front of her, a little bit happily mind you, but still doing what she told him to do. Anything. He allowed her to fuss over him as she took more pictures of him on her phone.

"Satisfied?"

Cathryn checked if she had any bad angle photos. Fortunately, they were none. Unfortunately, the guy beside her was too perfect that no matter how many ugly poses he did, all of them came out well. She was super, super jealous.

"Very much," She answered absent-mindedly but it had some kind of effect on him.

As she lifted her attention to him, her entire body stilled. He took another step closer. His eyes darkened at that, those chocolate irises overshadowed by the dilation of his pupils.

Oh shit, no.

Not this kind of mood again.

"Umm, what I mean is..."
