"It's showtime."
"Just bring your phone, Blake." Alexander unplugged the chargers and placed his gadgets inside his bag. He threw Blake's phone in the air and he caught it effortlessly. "The staff will take care of other things."
Cathryn glared at Alexander daring him to throw her phone to her. "Just hand them over or I'll beat you up."
"Bloodthirsty as always, tsk," Alexander smirked as he approached her and pulled her hand, dropping the phone in her grasp. "We had to go to the next location of our concert so we were just going to drop you to school on our way. Would that be fine?"
"Okay." Cathryn beamed at him as she wore her long coat over her white T-shirt. "Thank you."
After Alexander and Blake placed their necessities, they closed their luggage and wore their designer sunglasses.
When she saw how they looked from head to toe, she had a hard time closing her mouth in awe.
With the both of them just wearing simple shirts and jeans, they looked like legit superstars the moment they wore their shades.
Honestly, how can they complete a simple look with just sunglasses and look expensive as fuck?
"Come on, Cathryn. You should --" Alexander said. He gazed into her eyes and he must have noticed that she was probably drooling at them.
He patted her head and messed with her curly hair, "--roll your tongue back to your mouth."
They went outside as the manager waited patiently, glancing in any direction as if he was on the lookout for danger. Cathryn realized when she stepped out the threshold that the second floor was quiet as a tomb.
The manager had called for two backup carrying two-way handheld radios. The way the male security was built, they appeared as bouncers from an underground nightclub.
Hmm. It felt like the calm before the storm.
The moment they stepped towards the exit of Hard Rock Hotel with Alexander and Blakem, the manager and along with their security, flames of hell erupted. She had the instinct to turn tail, run, and hide back to the Hotel room.
Apart from the press, people were crying on the front of Hard Rock Hotel, holding signs proclaiming their love for Mild Savagery.
It wasn't so crazy frightening as before when she faced the mob with the males' large body frames blocking her from the haters' view.
Cathryn didn't know if anybody noticed her when she was surrounded and towered over by the guys. Covered in a large coat and a baseball cap, she hoped to God she was invisible.
Another man in a sharp black suit came toward them, making a way through the mob from the other side.
Alexander put an arm loosely around her shoulder and hustled her out of there, down the parking lot, and the waiting crowd followed them, screaming and shouting the members' names.
The noise level skyrocketed.
A woman yelled that she hated Cathryn and called her a cunt.
Oh shit, she wasn't that invisible as she thought she was.
The rumors about linking her to Mild Savagery were uncontrollable.
The gossip about them had spread like wildfire without any verification.
A threesome? Oh my god!
What the fuck?
Someone was yelling at Blake that he loved him. Mostly, though, it was more of the questions from paparazzi. Cameras were shoved in our faces, the flashlights glaring. Before Cathryn could stumble, Alexander was there.
Her feet barely touched the ground as Alexander shoved her to their fancy limousine with an all-leather interior. The door slammed shut behind her and Alexander, Blake and their manager climbed in next.
People banged on the windows and ran alongside.
"Where are we going?" asked the driver, never taking his eyes off the traffic. He wove in and out among the cars with supernatural speed. If she had been up to feeling anything, Cathryn might have felt fear and more nausea.
"Xavier University first." Without pausing for breath Alexander rattled off the address to the driver.
The driver nodded in acknowledgment to them in the rearview mirror, and then accelerated some more.
Everything jumped and jittered.
Cathryn's hands weren't working and it was up to Alexander to pull the seatbelt over her and jammed it into the clasp.
With a small smile, London patted her knee to get her attention, "Hey, Cathryn."
"What brought you here?" Marco asked as he arched an eyebrow.
Cathryn just gave a rough laugh as the world outside turned back into a smudge.
Cathryn pushed her sunglasses up on top of her head as she met the stares of the other band members of Mild Savagery and Alexander frowned, pushing the sunglasses back down over her eyes.
"I don't know." She finally replied, her ribs hurt and her heart hurt from pounding so hard.
"Nice to see you again.'" Jasper smiled kindly, his cute dimples showing.
"Argh." Cathryn scrambled across then slumped down in humiliation, doing her best to hide and disappear entirely.
