Kidnapped

I never thought he'd recover that fast.

He grabbed my arm and suddenly I'm upside down. The blood rushing to my head made me dizzy.

"Let go of me." I threw punches on his back as he walked briskly.

It probably didn't hurt that much or he just doesn't care that people are looking in our direction wondering what the commotion was all about.

He continued, carrying me like a sack of potatoes on his broad shoulders as if I weigh nothing.

"My panties are showing, you idiot." I struggled to escape, wiggling my body like an earthworm.

"You should have thought about that before wearing skin-tight, strips of lace, and fuck-me stilettos." He said sarcastically. "I was even more surprised you're wearing underwear beneath this sad excuse of a band-aid."

"Band-Aid? Band-aid?" I said incredulously. "This is a perfectly acceptable Christmas Party outfit for a single woman!"

"Diana, Diana, Diana. Thanks for the additional information, though." He chuckled in male appreciation. "Can't believe you're still hung up on me after all these years."

"Damn you." I shrieked angrily. "F*ck you."

He tightened his grip on my waist as I felt another big warm hand on the globes of my ass, smoothing my black dress.

"What do you think you're doing, you pervert?" I scowled at his back which was my only view at the moment.

"Covering you just like you said, your highness." He said drily. "Unless you want me to indulge the male audience?"

Seething, I shut my mouth. He was silent the whole time as if we got out of the hotel where the Christmas Party was held.

Without warning, he dropped my feet to the ground, deposited me inside his limo, and followed, shutting the door with a loud bang.

"Drive." He commanded to someone who was behind the wheel.

We sped away like a thief in the night.

I stare at him, willing him to say a word. I regarded his clenched fist, messy hair and crumpled shirt, to his tense posture as he looked into the window, ignoring me again as if I wasn't here with him.

The city lights and the night sky must have interested him more than the woman he rejected, kissed then kidnapped.

The dangerous tension in the air was so real I could cut them with a knife. The temperature seems to rise to a higher degree and it sent prickles of awareness at my scalp, to my neck down to my spine.

The mood he's in, I'd never seen this side of him before.

Ten years ago, he was this athletic boy with the face of an angel and a heart-stopping smile who collected a jar of hearts unwittingly with the accomplished flirt he is.

He was a certified ladies man.

He knew what girls wanted, give it to them and when you start having expectations, he'll crush your girly dreams and infatuations. Make you blame yourself for being not good enough, for questioning your entire existence.

Been there, done that.

I will not play the devil's game.

I will not speak first, not daring to break this awkward silence. Minutes passed by and it turned to hours as I sat here comfortably. I was tired of waiting. My eyelids grew heavy, my body relaxing.

I didn't notice that I fell asleep.
