Chapter 7

Your POV

Over the past weeks of filming and hanging out with Scarlett, I can say that it wasn't as bad as I thought it was. Filming was going great and we were about halfway through. We were currently on set going over lines and get ready for scenes. I was currently in midtown LA where our scenes were going to be shot at.

"Y/N, darling!! You're up in five!!" Martin calls.

"I'll be right there Martin!!" I call.

I feel Scarlett kiss my neck a little as we were inside my trailer for the remainder of my break and hers. We made a deal stating that when we're on set together that the breaks are ours to be together. We keep it discreet and between us and us alone.

"I got to go, love," I tell.

"You have five minutes," she tells, nuzzling my neck.

"You and I both know that five minutes means one to get a scene done," I tell.

I pull away from her and wipe her lipstick from my neck. I exit out of my trailer and down towards the set.

"Looking fine Ms. Y/L/N.," one of the extras says.

I wink in his direction making him blush as I make my way towards the set and see that I'm scaling a building.

"Alright Y/N, we're going to hook you up to some support wiring and have you scale up this building to at least twenty stories up. We've attached to your belt two suction cups and a glass cutter. The lines for the circle will be already there; you just have to cut them out and get inside." Martin tells.

"Got it, boss man," I tell as I get hooked up.

I get into the frame and wait for my que to come.

"And action!!" Martin yells.

I move as the script directs me to and I start scaling the building, using my hands and knees. I got to my mark with the window and stabilized myself before reaching for the suction cups on my right side. I stuck them on the glass, making sure they were stable and grabbed the glass cutter. I followed the pattern of the tape and cut a decent-sized hole. I carefully pushed the glass inside the building and let it lay against the glass window. I pull myself inside, prompting Martin to yell cut.

"You did an amazing job, Y/N!!" Martin yells.

I threw a thumbs up down to him and feel the cables start to pull me out of the window and back down to the ground. Once I was on the ground, I was immediately unhooked as Martin told me my next scene.

"We're going back to the office and you'll be getting the data needed to steal but you're on a time crunch, so you have to work fast. You have the data in just the nick of time, but Agent Blackfield is on your tail. Then your banter starts and you escape the scene." Martin tells.

"Got you," I tell.

I make my way back up to the office and get to my starting point. I get a wave from the window and look out it. I look down and see Martin holding a sign. It said, "Sit in the chair", so I obliged and sat down.

'He couldn't have told me this before I got up here? Oh well, at least it will add an element of sexiness to this scene.' I think.

I turned the chair away from the door and started playing with the key card in my hand as they called action. The door bursts open and I looked to the side but didn't turn around.

"It still surprises me that a world's full of information could be downloaded on a drive this small," I say, admiring the key card.

"I'd say the world is evolving in that aspect. Now put your hands in the air and hand over the key card." Agent Blackfield says.

I turn in the chair to face her and smirk.

"Now I can't do anything like that, Agent Blackfield. That would make my job even harder than I need." I say.

"I won't say it again. Now hand it over." Agent Blackfield tells firmly.

I stand up from my chair and sauntered towards her.

"Now Agent, wouldn't you like to do something more....pleasure-filled with your time than trying to arrest little old me?" I ask, walking towards her, knowing she won't pull the trigger.

She flusters at the question and lowers her gun just a tad.

"That's more like it." I purr.

"I don't want to fight you, Agent Ice Raven, but I will if I have to. Now give me the key card." Agent Blackfield tells.

"Now, now Agent. A fight isn't something I'm looking to start. In other cases, I would end any fight that started with me." I tell, drawing ever so closer to her.

I move up to her side, moving my hand down her arm as she stayed perfectly still for me. I could feel a shiver go through her body, and smirk at her.

"I've seen you fight, Agent. I must say that I'm very intrigued about...how your body moves. Such rippling muscles, a sleek, but hard physique. I can't see too many men and women flocking to you." I tell.

She holsters her weapon after a time, seeing no immediate danger from me and I smirk at that, getting what I want. Her walls completely down. I reach for the knife on my belt behind me, but the sound of a nearby helicopter catches our attention.

"Cut!! Beautiful ladies!! Let's get Y/N hooked up for the jump out and we'll be finished for today!!" Martin yells.

"Ready when you are Martin," I tell.

I looked around to see if we were clear from people before I take a step towards Scarlett. Once I knew we were alone, I stepped into her personal space and wrapped my arms around her neck. She wraps her arms around my waist and brings me into a kiss.

"You're doing so well, love," Scarlett says.

"I think so too. I didn't think it would be going as smoothly as it is." I tell.

"I believe in you," she tells.

She kisses me one last time as we heard the jingling of gear I needed to put on. I see some of my lipstick on her and gesture to wipe her lips. She does just in time as the stunt coordination team comes in and works on my gear. Once I was secure, we go back to our marks and go on with the scene. The sound of the helicopter comes back and I hear Martin yell action.

"It's been fun, but I have places to be and items to collect," I tell, backing away from her, sticking the key card in my side pocket.

I jump out the window as she fires at me, breaking the glass and I fall to the rope ladder, grabbing it. I'm lifted up and away from the window, calling back to Agent Blackfield, who rushes to the window.

"Au revoir ma chérie!!!" I yell, doing a half-wave.

Martin yells cut and the stunt coordinators move to get me down from the air. I hear a snap and look up to see the wiring of my support line fraying.

"Shit!!" I say.

I looked around for the team and see them moving to the wires to lower me down with the rope ladder, but were taking their sweet time getting there. The line frayed more and more with each involuntary move I make and I was fearing for my life. I was at least twenty-five maybe thirty stories up, I knew I wouldn't survive that fall; even if I did, I wouldn't be left unscathed. I look up to the rope ladder and see that its wiring was perfectly fine. I swing over to it, getting a good grip on it before my lining broke and fell to the floor, scaring everyone, including myself.

"Get her down from there!!!" Joseph, the production manager, yells.

They lower me down to the ground and once I was on the ground, I finally released the breath that I didn't know I was holding. I didn't want to outright run to Scarlett since we weren't telling our relationship to the public, but I needed some kind of support. Martin came to me with other producers to give me some semblance of support as they asked if I'm alright. I didn't want to speak but gave them a nonchalant answer to the whole thing, putting it off as some malfunction in the stunt department.

'They'll hear from Emma about the whole thing. That is if Scarlett doesn't get to them first.' I think.

"I just need a breather. I'm going to go to my trailer for a minute." I tell.

I move towards my trailer, thinking that Scarlett might be there since I didn't see her from my guarded view from the crowd of people around me previously. Once I had the door shut to my trailer, Scarlett was standing there waiting for me. She opens her arms to me and I rush into them, letting tears fall from the "almost" accident.

"It's okay now. Just let it out," she tells.

I cried for about fifteen minutes until I could get bearings again with the help of Scarlett whispering comforting words to me.

"I already texted Emma on your phone. She'll be here in a couple of minutes." Scarlett tells.

I nod and we jump at the screeching of tires and booming of Emma's voice.

"Y/N!!" Emma calls.

I get up and open my trailer door, seeing Emma make her way towards me.

"Come on Y/N, we're leaving," Emma says.

"It was last shot anyway," I tell.

"It doesn't matter if it wasn't. I'm not putting your life in jeopardy like that. Not while I'm your manager. Until they figure out how and why that happened, you're not going on set for a while." Emma tells.

"We'll talk about this later," I tell.

"I assure you, Emma, I don't mean for anyone under my supervision to get hurt at any point," Martin tells.

"She was almost hurt. I don't want to take that chance with anyone of my clients. We'll be in contact until we feel comfortable for her to come back on set." Emma tells.

I grab my stuff out of my trailer, peck Scarlett on the cheek, and leave towards Emma's car. We drive off the lot and towards my apartment.
