Chapter 19: Run Away

Angel's POV:

I flew as fast as I could. Then I landed and hid behind a tree. I somehow managed to lose Caleb. He flew off somewhere else. I followed him to a house somewhere beside town. Turns out it was Loren's house. He fucked her. I became jealous and flew away. I flew to the park and cried. Then I heard someone approaching me. I looked to my left and saw Gustavo. I turned back around. "Hi Gustavo." I said. "Angel. So happy to see you here." He said.

He came over and sat down next to me. I didn't even budge. "You're not gonna run away do anything?" He asked. I shook my head. "No. I'm not in the mood." I said. "You look sad. Depressed. What happened?" He asked. "Ca-" I paused and looked at him. "This boy i like...turns out he didn't like me." I said. "Caleb?" He asked. I shook my head. "No. I broke it off with him few months back. He and his ex are back together." I said. "How do I know you're telling the truth?" He asked.

"Know what Gustavo? I don't give a fuck is you believe me or not. Okay, I'm depressed and I wanna be left alone." I said. "Depression....it's terrible yes. But crying over boy? Is no good. Crying over man? I understand." He said, cackling. I gave him a sideways glance. "Angel if you really sad, why not end him?" He asked. "Because I can never do something like that." I said. "Why not? You did before." He said. "I killed your men, not my crush." I said.

"Both did bad things." He said. He's got a point. "But I can never bring myself to do something like that. I rather end my own life." I said. He put his arm around me and kissed my hand. "So why don't you?" He asked. I looked at him. Yeah why don't I? I stood up and and flew off towards town. Gustavo followed me. He watched as I walked out into the streets. Then I jumped in front of a black car. It sent me flying back. People all screamed and called the police.

When they came, I suddenly came down my senses. What am I doing? I'm pregnant. Why am I doing this? I got up and tried to run away but I was caught by policemen. They put me in an ambulance and took me to the hospital. Once I was left alone, I took the opportunity to leave out the window. I flew away into the night. I flew all the way back to Loren's house. I knocked on the door. She opened it and smiled. "Hey Angel." She said. "Can I come in?" I asked.

"Sure. Don't mind me. I know I smell like Caleb. He was here. He fucked me." She said, grinning. I gave fake smile as I sat down. "I know. I was outside watching the whole thing. I got a front row seat." I said. She giggled. "He's so good with that big dick of his." She said. I nodded. "He certainly knows how to use it, yes." I said. "Why are you here?" She asked. "Well I almost committed suicide earlier. I wanna talk about that deal." I said.

She stared at me before sitting down beside me. "And?" She asked. "I wanna know exactly what I'm getting myself into. Like what do you want me to do?" I asked. "Leave Caleb." She said. "I got that." I said. "I'll leave you alone if you leave Caleb alone. I don't want to see you or him anywhere near each other." She said. "Okay. I'm planning on running leaving anyway." I said. She was taken aback by my words. "You wanna run away?" She asked. I nodded. "Yes." I said.

I sighed. "I don't see any reason for me to stay." I said. A thought crossed my mind. "Where are my siblings? My brother and my sister?" I asked. She smiled. "They're in town." She said. "Where?" I asked, quickly. "Angel relax. I haven't done anything bad to them...yet." She said. I stood up. "As long as you keep our deal. Leave Caleb and I'll leave you alone." She said. "That's fine." I said. She stood up and stared at me. Then she kissed me.

"Not gonna lie. I loved fucking you." She said. I rolled my eyes and walked over towards the door. "Here." Loren said. I looked at her. She wrote something down on a piece of paper then handed it to me. "Here. They told me that they'd be at this hotel. They wanted you to go see them."" She said. I scanned her face for any trace of her messing with me. I did see some kind of emotion but I couldn't tell what it was.

I walked out the door and flew away. I flew out to town and landed. I looked around and saw people staring at me. "Hey. Aren't you that girl who got hit earlier?" A woman asked. "Yes. I'm fine now. Thank you." I said. I walked for three blocks before I came to a hotel. I walked in and headed for the elevator. I went up a floor. I looked down at Loren's paper. I walked onto the floor and down the halls.

I came to a room and knocked on the door. I took a deep breath and braced myself for my siblings. The door opened and there, stood my sister. "Angel?" She said. I smiled. "Hey Nya." I said. She hugged me. I hugged her back. "Nya?" Andre called. He appeared beside Nya. "Angel? Oh my God it's you!!" He cried. He hugged me. "Hi." I said. They let me in the room. "So the gang's back together. How you guys been?" I asked. "Good. How's our little sister?" Nya asked.

"Yeah you look tired. Also we saw something about you being hit by a car." Andre said. I nodded. "Yeah I did. But obviously I'm fine." I said. "Hey your wings. You had your Evaluation. So what's your power?" Andre asked. "I have immunity. I'm completely immune to everyone's powers." I said. "Wow. Lucky." Nya said. I smiled. "Angel you look tired." She said. "You can say that. I'm drained at the moment." I said.

"What happened?" Andre asked. I sighed. "It's a very VERY long story. But I am pregnant." I said. Nya gasped and squealed. "Oh congratulations." She said. "Hold up. Who you been fucking? I thought you were still a virgin?" Andre asked. "Yeah but I lost it. And don't worry about who the baby Daddy is. I'm leaving town." I said. "What? Angel no. We just found you." Nya said. "I know but I'm under a lot of stress and I just wanna get away." I said.

"Where to? Can we come with?" Nya asked. "That's up to you guys and I don't know yet. First, I have to go home and pack all my stuff but I highly doubt I'll be able to do that without someone stopping me." I said. "Like who?" Andre asked. I sighed. "I rather most get into it. But yeah I'm leaving. I think I might go out the country since that's the only way for me." I said. "Well we coming with you." Andre said. "But first we need to get my suitcases and shit." I said.

"Okay. Where is it?" Nya asked. "It's uh...look let's just go." I said. We walked out the hotel room and down to the lobby. We walked out into the night and flew away. They followed me back to the house. I landed and saw the lights on in the house. Shit. This is gonna be hard. "Whoa Angel. You live here?" Andre asked. "Yeah Angel. This is dope as fuck. Why would you wanna leave? Look you got your own guards." Nya said. "They aren't mine." I said.

I walked up to the gates. "Hey boys. They're with me." I said. "Angel you know we can't let them in." A guard said. "Why not?" Nya asked. "Man forget this." Andre said. "Andre no!! Don't. They won't hesitate to shoot." I said. I looked back at the house. "Look, just check them. They're my brother and my sister." I said, to the guards. They patted them both down. "Look whatever trouble you'll be in, just tell Calvin I let them in." I said.

The guards reluctantly let them in. We walked over to the doors and walked in. "Angel? There you are. We've been- whose that?" Hailey asked. "Hailey, Calvin, this is my brother and sister, Andre and Nya. Don't worry. They're are not staying or anything. We were just leaving." I said. "Leaving?" Skylar said. I looked up at her. "Yes. Skylar I'm sorry." I said. "Wait who they?" Nya asked. "Angel what's going on?" Andre asked. "That's exactly what I'd like to know." Calvin asked, crossing his arms.

He made guards surround my siblings. "Hold on. Man you better get that gun outta my face." Andre said. "Andre DONT!! I told you. They will not hesitate to shoot you. Just don't do anything." I said. "Angel why are you leaving? And why have you been gone so long? Caleb has been worried sick about you." Riley said. I held my stomach as pain seared through me. I fell to the floor. "Angel relax." Hailey said, as she helped me up.

"Please guys. Don't ask me questions right now. I just wanna leave." I said. "We're coming with you." Skylar said. "Yeah. Angel you're not leaving without us." Riley said. I smiled. "Thanks but what about Kyle and Ramón?" I asked. "They will be fine. We'll leave notes." Riley said. "Help me unpack. Andre, Nya, stay down here and please don't disrespect Calvin or Hailey. They will have these guards blow your heads off so fast." I said, as I ran upstairs to my room.

I began to pack up all my clothes. I packed up everything I could get my hands on. I paused when I saw a picture of me and Caleb. Me and him in the backyard pool. Tears welled up in my eyes. I shook my head and continued to pack. I walked out into the halls and saw Skylar and Riley. "Ready?" Riley asked. I nodded. "I already wrote a note for the boys. Let's get out of here before they come back." Skylar said.

We ran downstairs and out the door.

"Kyle and Ramón did go out to look for Caleb and you. If they see you, they'll definitely tell Caleb." Riley said. We ran down the driveway. "Nya, Andre, this is Skylar and Riley. Guys, this is my brother and sister, Nya and Andre." I said, quickly. We flew away into the night. We flew back to the hotel. We made it to the hotel room and we chilled. "Whew. I was so scared the boys would come back." Skylar said.

"Me too. So Caleb hasn't been back?" I asked. They shook their heads. "So Caleb is the guy you fucked?" Andre asked. I nodded. "Yeah. We had a falling out and now I just want to leave." I said. "What happened?" Nya asked. I shook my head. "Stupid shit. But I just wanna get away from it all." I said. I thought back to Loren. "So Angel where are we going?" Skylar asked. "I haven't figured that part out yet." I said.

"Well we need a plan. You Caleb is gonna find you sooner or later." Riley said. I shook my head. "Nope. Last I saw Caleb, he was fucking Loren." I said. They both gasped. "No way." Skylar said. I nodded. "Yes. He followed me out the house. I followed him to Loren's house and saw the whole thing go down. Honestly I just wanna leave now." I said. "Uh Angel?" Andre called. We all looked at him. He turned up the TV.

A reporter was talking about me. She was talking about me getting hit by that car and disappearing. So now I'm presumed missing. "Shit. Now Caleb will probably some idea on where I went." I said. "Well we need a plan. Where do we all wanna go?" Riley asked. "Ireland. I heard it's so beautiful up there." Nya said. "Uh uh. We just came from there. Plus, Caleb is Irish. His whole family is. We go to Ireland, they'll drag us back." I said.

"How bout Spain?" Andre asked. "Nah. I don't have the patience to be learning a new language." Riley said. "Let's go to Britain then. My grandma is British." Skylar said. "There we go." I said. We all got plane tickets to Britain. Unfortunately the next flight wasn't available til next week so we had to wait. I looked at my phone. Me and Caleb was my lock screen. He was kissing me as I took the picture. A tear escaped my eye. I quickly wiped it away.

We all slept in this hotel room for the night. I couldn't sleep. Caleb was on my mind. So I decided to go for a walk. I walked over to the door but was stopped when Skylar appeared. We stared at each other. "Can't sleep?" She asked. I shook my head. "Yeah me neither." She said. "Me either. My mind is racing." Riley said. She walked over to us. "Caleb is gonna be livid is he finds me or any of us." I said.

"Let's hope he isn't up walking around at two in the morning." Skylar said. The three of us walked down the halls and to the elevator. When it reached the lobby, we walked out the doors and outside. Skylar blew a breath. "I know Kyle is going apeshit wondering where I am." She said. "Same here. Ramón hates when I leave unannounced. I once left to use the bathroom and he spanked me for leaving." Riley said.

Me and Skylar giggled. I looked up at the night sky. "Damn it. If only Caleb hadn't been so mean to me. Maybe this wouldn't had happened. I don't get it. Why he doesn't he want me to have an abortion so badly?" I asked. "I guess he's scared of something." Riley said. "Of what exactly? Nothing is going to happen to me." I said. "Angel?" Skylar said. I looked at her. She pointed at something in front of us.

Then Loren stepped out of the bushes. "Loren!! What are you doing here?" Skylar asked. "She here for an ass whooping." Riley said. I could see her ice powers forming on her hands. "Relax. What is it Loren?" I asked. "I wanna talk to you. There's been a new deal." She said. "Deal?" Riley repeated. She looked at me. "I'll tell you guys about it later." I said. I looked at Loren. "What is it?" I asked. "So a little birdie told me that you're pregnant." She said.

"So?" I said. "Get rid of it." She said. Her words echoed in my head. Then Caleb appeared in my head repeating the same words. "Loren-" she cut me off. "Angel don't object. Don't forget. I still have info on your siblings. I can't get them into a world of trouble. I will run to Calvin and tell him about them and how they used to have bad habits." She said. "Loren what is the new deal?" I asked.

"I just told you. Get rid of that baby. Then you leave town and Caleb for good." She said. "Loren you know Caleb isn't just gonna let Angel walk like that. He's gonna stop her." Riley said. "Lie to him." Loren said. I thought about it. Tears streamed down my face. "Why should I have to give up my baby just for you to be happy?! I'm leaving Caleb. That should be enough for you Loren." I cried. She smirked.

"That baby is enough to make Caleb go after you. Which means he'll be inclined to go find you." She said. "Then it'll be your job to stop him." I said. I shook my head. "I'm not getting rid of my baby just for your pleasure." I said. She then pulled out a gun and shoot at me. I didn't feel anything but the bullet bounced off of my shield and hit Riley in her stomach. I gasped. She fell to the ground. "RILEY!!" I screamed.
