Chapter 22: Sorry

Ace's POV:

I stared at Angel as she stared at the files of her parents. Since Christian died, she debated whether or not to go see her parents. "Angel if you wanna see them, I understand. If I found out my parents are still out there, I'd want to go meet them." I said. She didn't say anything. Then she sighed. "I don't know Ace. I want to meet my parents but I know that once I do, Tabitha will target them." She said.

"Well, like Christian said-" I paused when I said his name. She always broke down when she heard his name. I was right. She started crying. I held her in my arms. "He didn't have to protect me." She said. "He promised your Dad." I said. "I don't care!! I miss him!!" She cried. She sobbed into my shirt til she fell asleep. I laid her down and left. I went downstairs and met up with Rose and Bailey.

"How is she man?" Kyle asked, as he walked into the room. Mike trailed behind him. "Still can't say his name without her crying. We should give her more time." I said. I felt so bad. The sad thing is, Rachel didn't even want to give Christian a funeral. She said that he knew too much and that's why she fired him. She tried to take him out on numerous occasions but she couldn't catch up to him.

Christian disappeared before she could kill him. I knew Christian since I came here. It didn't make any sense. Christian was a still good guy. He always followed the rules. Why employ someone for so long just to discard them and say they knew too much then have them killed? I didn't trust Rachel. I looked at her as she walked into the room. She didn't even help us try to find Bailey's phone.

Bailey said she had a vision of Chris attacking Angel. She wanted to warn Angel but calling her but she couldn't find her phone. Angel thinks Rachel hid her phone. I don't know why she thinks that but I still didn't trust Rachel. She's been acting funny since Christian died. "Ace? Can I talk to you?" She asked. "No." I said, then I walked away.

"Ace!" Rachel said. "NO RACHEL!! Whatever it is that you wanna say to me, say it right now!! I don't want to talk to you in private anymore. It's always nonsense. So what is it? What?!" I asked, loudly. She glared at me as her eyes turned red. "Ace. Please." She said. "No." I said. I turned around and walked out the door. I shook my head. I transformed into a wolf and ran away.

I ran all the way to the my secret cave that was beneath the cliff. I didn't want to be bothered by anyone. I walked in and put my head down on my paws. I tried to think about all of the things that's happened lately. Christian's death. Kya almost got killed. She was changed into a mutant. Tabitha came back into my life.

She's been targeting Angel and Kya. Me and Angel been at each other's throats, only wind up together. Chris nearly raped her and almost gave her AIDS. Chris got transferred to another facility across the world. And Rachel has now taking an even bigger dislike towards Angel and Bailey. I found out why Angel didn't like Rachel.

Chris and Tabitha told her all about my flings with Rachel. It was in my past. Why can't anyone let that go? Ohhhhhh now I get it. I then felt like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. That's it. I just have to let go. I stood up and ran off into the woods. I ran all the way to Douglas and Christina's house. I transformed and walked up to the door. I ringed the doorbell.

The door opened to reveal Kya. She looked at me and smiled. "Hi Ace!!" She said, hugging me. "Hey little bunny." I said. I decided to call her little bunny since that's what Angel always call her. "What are you doing here?" She asked. "Uhh I needed to get away." She said. "Get away?" She asked. "Yeah. I needed to clear my head." I said. I looked around. "Where Douglas and Christina?" I asked.

"Oh Christina went into labor so they're at the hospital." She said. "Ohhh. So you're here by yourself." I said. She nodded. "But don't worry. I've been upstairs and taking care of myself. Where's Angel?" She asked. "At home sleep. She broke down crying." I said. "She still misses Christian?" She asked. I nodded. "Yep. Still can't say his name." I said. "Christian was so sweet. He didn't deserve to die." She said.

I nodded. "Yeah he didn't." I said. We walked to the living room and sat down. "So Angel cried herself to sleep again?" She asked. I nodded. "Yep." I said. I looked at her. "You look tired." I said. She nodded. "I am. I didn't sleep much last night. He was kicking so much." She said, motioning to her pregnant belly. "It must be getting close." I said. She nodded. "I'm scared." She said.

She looked at me. "This is the part where you're supposed to tell me it's gonna be okay." She said. "But it's not Kya. Once he's here, it's gonna be a world of exhaustion." I said. "I know." She said. She looked at me. "What?" I asked. She held up her hand. Then I heard it. A car door. I stood up and walked over to the window. I sighed in relief and opened the door. "Hey Mike." I said. He waved at me.

"Rachel wants you to come home. She's yelling at everyone til you come back." He said. "I just want some time to myself. I don't want to be around the woman who didn't even give Christian a funeral and decided to spit on his grave." I said. He shrugged. "Well I'm gonna be out until she calms down cause she is not about to be yelling at me. She is not my Mom." He said.

"Why do you think I decided to stay with Douglas and Christina? Rachel isn't finna be all in my ear, yelling at me to do shit." Kya said. "Exactly. Since all this mess with Tabitha, everyone has been talking about moving out." Mike said. "Really?" I asked. He nodded. "Yeah man. Me and Bailey have been talking about moving. We even been tryna find a place for us after we graduate." He said.

He walked back to his car. "Maybe you and Angel should start to think about getting a house too. Kyle and Rose already found a house they like." He said. Then he drove away. I closed the door. "Are you gonna do that Ace? Find a new house for you and my sister?" She asked. "Maybe. Yeah. We can't stay here. I don't know where Tabitha is or how much of an enemy Rachel finds Angel, but I need to get us out of here." I said.

She look down. "What?" I asked. "I don't want my big sister to leave me." She said. I walked over and hugged her. "Awww Kya. Are you gonna miss your big sister?" I asked. She nodded. "Yes. I mean I know me and Angel go at it sometimes but that's still my big sister, even if we're not related. I don't want her to leave me. That's why I followed her since the day she left." She said. "Aww Kya. We you can always come with us." I said.

She suddenly hugged me tighter. "Oh Jesus!" I said. "Thank you thank you THANK YOU ACE!!" She screamed. "Kya!! You're squishing my insides." I said. She released me. "Sorry. I gotta get used to my new werewolf side." She said, giggling. "I see." I said, holding my side. "I'm hungry." I said. "I'll order something." I said, reaching for my phone. I then noticed I had a text message...from Tabitha.

I looked back at Kya. "Uhh actually. I have to go." I said, standing up. "Oh really?" She asked, sadly. "I'll be back. I'll send Kyle and Rose over to watch you." I said. "Can you stay til they get here?" She asked. I nodded. I called Kyle and Rose over. They got in ten minutes later. "Now Kya, if you see a meteor in the sky and it's coming straight towards you, don't be alarmed. You're a mutant now so the meteor is gonna be attracted to you." Rose said.

Rose and Kyle was explaining to Kya the whole speech Rachel gave us. I said my goodbyes and walked out the house. I looked up and saw Tabitha standing near a tree with her arms crossed. I walked over to her. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "Where have you been? I haven't see you in a few months." She said. "I'm busy trying not to die because of your stupid ass." I said.

She glared at me. "Seriously Tabitha, what in your right mind think you can act like this? You're targeting a pregnant fourteen year old girl. For what? Kya has done nothing to you and neither has Angel." I said. She turned around and walked away. "You coming or what?" She said. I walked after her. "Ace, I'm only targeting Kya because Angel is always being protected by you." She said.

I snatched her by her arms and slammed her into a tree, causing it to break. "Well I'm gonna say this: you try another bombing incident like that one at McDonald's, I will snap your fucking neck Tabitha, do you hear me?! Mess with Angel or Kya again. I dare you!!" I yelled. She stared at me unfazed. "Ace know I love you." She said. "You have a very funny way of showing it. Leave. Kya and Angel. Alone." I said.

She narrowed her eyes. "If I have to say this again, I will kill you." I said. "No you won't. Ace you're too much of a goody goody now to do anything to hurt me." She said. "Say I won't hurt you right now." I said. "You won't." She said. I picked her up and slammed her onto a tree. "OWWW WHAT THE FUCK ACE!!" She cried. "That's your warning Tabitha. Next time, I'm slamming you on your fucking neck!" I said.

I walked away. I transformed and ran away. I heard flapping above me. I already knew it was Tabitha following me. I ran to an old abandoned house me and Tabitha used to go to. I ran inside and transformed. I looked around. "Like it?" Tabitha asked. "You live here?" I asked. "No. I just come here to think." She said. I looked down and saw a table with teacups and tea.

I looked back at Tabitha. "What's with the tea?" I asked. She sighed. "It used to be our favorite tea." She She said. She walked over and picked up a teacup and sipped it. "Ace, you know I'm crazy for you." She said. "Oh trust me. I'm well aware." I said. She sat down in a chair. "Ace, I don't want to hurt you, Angel, Kya, or anybody. I just want you back." She said. "That's all you had to say." I said.

"So you'll be with me again?" She asked, happily. "No. Tabitha I don't know what's going through that head of yours but this has to stop. This isn't some fairytale that's written in a book. This is real life. I'm not getting back together with you. I'm gonna go home and tell Rachel the same thing." I said. "Good. Tell Rachel. She's the one who made me start this whole thing anyway." She said.

I looked back at her and sat down. "What?" I said. "Yeah. She made me do all of this. She knew you and Angel would suspect me to be behind all of this. I'm the pawn in her chess game. I'm only doing what she told me. Yeah she transferred me but she brought me back to the facility as soon as you guys came back from Italy. I didn't even know Angel and them was the new mutants." She said.

She shook her head. "I had no idea. Then Rachel comes back from Italy and hits me up and says that I need to get rid of Angel. She told me all about this plan of hers so I sat back and tried to get everything together but then Kya came into the mix and Rachel had to change her plans and told me we I had to take Kya out. That's why I bombed McDonald's. Sorry, not sorry." She said.

She handed me a teacup. I drank some of it. Tabitha nodded slowly. "Yes Ace. Rachel is the one behind all of this." She said. "But why are you doing this? Why are either of you doing this?" I asked. "You still don't get it, do you Ace?" She asked. I love you. Rachel loves you. You dicked us down and now we don't want to leave you. But Angel has your attention and now me and Rachel want her to leave." She said.

She sat up and walked over to the closet. "Tabitha what are y'all so against Angel? She has done nothing to either one of you." I said. "Ace, I fucking love you. I can't live without you Daddy." She said. Suddenly, I felt tingly. My whole body felt tingly. I looked down at my tea. Then I looked up at Tabitha. She smiled at me. "Something wrong Ace?" She asked. I looked around. The walls all spun and twisted around. I looked back down at my tea.

"Tabitha did you put something in my tea?" I asked, my words slurring. My whole body felt like it was heating up. My whole body felt like it was on fire. I tried to stand up before I fell. My legs wouldn't let me. l was finally able to stand up. I looked around. Everything was spinning. I need to get out of here!! I crawled away towards the door. I felt hands on my foot.

I looked behind me and saw Tabitha dragging me away. "Tabitha....stop...." I said. I could barely voice my words. My mouth felt numb. "Don't worry Ace. I'm gonna make you feel all better." She said. She dragged me all the way upstairs to a room. She propped me up against the headboard. She took off my shirt and pants. She began to strip and sat down on top of me.

She kissed me. "Don't fight this Ace. Just let it happen baby." She said. I tried to my lift myself up but I was paralyzed. I couldn't do anything. Tabitha reached in my boxers and pulled out my dick. She wrapped her lips around the head of my dick. She gasped softly. "Oooh Daddy. I've missed this so much." She said. She propped herself and was about to sit on my dick until we heard a loud crash.

Then a dragon flew through the ceiling. I looked up. The dragon transformed into its human form. Angel glared at Tabitha. "Get away from him you bitch!!" She yelled. She transformed into a dragon and blew fire at Tabitha. Tabitha quickly dodged the fire. She transformed into a dragon as well. Her and Angel fought each other while I helplessly laid there, unable to move.

Angel and Tabitha fought and wrestled, flapping their wings and breathing fire. Angel clawed and scat she Tabitha. Tabitha cried out in pain. Angel put up a good fight. Tabitha bled all around her body. She did scratch Angel in her face, making Angel fall a bit. Luckily, she caught herself midair. She breathed fire at Tabitha, making her fall.

Angel grabbed Tabitha by her wings and threw her into the bathroom. Then she looked at me. She transformed by a into a human. She picked my clothes and transformed. She picked me up with her claws. She flew out the house and flew away. I heard snarling behind us. Angel flew faster and flew low into the trees. Then she transformed back into a human. She crouched down in front of me.

We watched as Tabitha flew past us. Angel looked at me. "Ace are you okay?" She asked. I wanted to say no or at least shake my head no but I still couldn't move. Ace? Can you talk? No Angel. She put something in my tea and now I can't move. I'm fucking paralyzed. My body feels incredible weird. My heart is racing. I'm gonna take you to the hospital baby. Just hold on.

She put my clothes back on then transformed into a dragon. She grabbed me and flew off towards town. She flew behind the hospital and transformed again. She carried me off towards the front entrance. She called out for help. She clutched me close to her as people ran to her side. I looked down at Angel's chest. My heart raced faster and faster.

Oh this is not the time to get hard. "What's wrong?" A doctor asked. "He's paralyzed. He drank some tea that was spiked with something and now he can't move." Angel said. The doctors listened to my heartbeat. "It's incredibly fast. We need to get him to the emergency room." She said. Angel watched as they wheeled me away. Douglas, Bailey, Kyle, Mike, and Rose appeared through the doors.

They all ran after me. "What did Tabitha do to him now?" Douglas asked. "She drugged him." Angel said. "That bitch is out of control." Mike said. They all ran to the emergency room with me. My eyesight began to blur. There was flashing lights in my face. Oh my God I'm gonna die. I was taken to a room and set on the bed. I was hooked up to a bunch of machines. "Ace!! Ace, stay with me." Angel said, as she held my hand.

"His vitals are off the charts. Someone bring me some anesthetics!!" A nurse yelled. "Ace stay with me!!" Angel cried. I couldn't move. I couldn't focus on her. My vision was blurry. "Doctor, his heart rate is slowing down." A nurse said. "No no no!!" Angel cried. "Angel you have to stay back!!" Douglas said. "Stay with me kid!!" The doctor said. I couldn't feel anything.

I could hear the heart monitor beeps slowing down. "No no Ace!!" Angel cried. "The defibrillator!! Hurry!!" The doctor yelled. Then my shirt was ripped open. Then I felt something cold on my chest. Then I felt electrical shocks go through my body. Then more shocks. My vision started to become darker and darker. I could feel my life slipping away. Then I saw a light. Then I could've sworn I heard the heart monitor flat line.
