Chapter 9 (Lt. Hernandez)

{Goblin's Fist Rage F|| Once activated the next 2 punches will deal 5% more damage as well as a stun bonus for 1 second (Cooldown: 10M)(Mana consumption: 6)} I closed my screen, and looked at my teammates, we had just completed a difficult trial, defeating a boss and completing a portal. Once we exited, the portal that was bright with red, orange, and pink, was now green. Everyone including myself had a big smile and sense of victory, with our fists in the air and screaming 'yeaaaaaaaa'.

After two minutes of clearing the portal, a beacon shot up to the sky, indicating that it was cleared. We all stared at the amazement of the new world; we were not sure what to do now. Hendricks had fallen to the ground, still affected from his battle wounds.

'Shit, are you ok?' Chris

'Yeah. yeah… I am just tired; I need to rest' Hendricks

The other group that had stayed behind, had made their way through to the S.A.Z and regrouped with our team.

'I can't believe you guys did it, you are all amazing' Lizzy (Student Body President)

While we continued talking about what happened inside, we heard a helicopter from afar, and after one minute, it appeared and began to land on the other side of the S.A.Z. and five soldiers fully equipped with the standard issued rifles came out, to see the bloodbath of the monsters and students around the area.

'Clear' one of the short soldiers let out.

After the all-clear, another soldier got out of the helicopter, standing at 6 feet with a huge build, bigger than Jake. His path on the left side, indicated he was a Lieutenant, as he walked towards us, the soldiers stood in a line and saluted towards him.

'Hello, I am Lieutenant Hernandez, I received an order to scout this earthquake, and the monsters from the sighting. It seems you all took care of them, good job you did your best for normal civilians. Who is in charge here?' Lt. Hernandez

"Nice to meet you Lt. Hernandez, I am John Ray a student at this High School. I led point here to take down this portal and the monsters inside, we managed to complete it with no casualties" John

'Good job, I can not tell you much information, but what I can say, is that this was not the only area with these portals. They started to appear throughout the world, and some places have been annihilated including squads that have been sent to take control. Our rifles easily took care of weaker monsters, but in other parts where stronger monsters above F+ rank appeared our weapons proved useless. I want to ask you all, to help us clear another one not far from here, it seems to be another goblin portal and the monsters there are F and above.' Lt. Hernandez
