Chapter 14 (Goblin Mages)

"Jake, since the both of us are the strongest here, we will have to take the responsibility to take care of the strongest ones, while the others quickly take care of the other goblins" John

However, before we could get in formation, the lieutenant goblin started speaking in a language we could not understand, and the guards started to run towards us, as well as the mages getting in position. The lieutenant and the noble were staying back while their pawns fought us, most likely to measure our power levels.

'If this is what I think it is, we should use little power to take care of these goblins to use our max against the higher rank goblins' Jake

"Yeah, I agree… get ready folks" John

Eight goblins with spears began running in our direction, in an arrow formation, the biggest goblin in the front. I quickly put the sword in the inventory window, that I have found out before getting inside the portal and switch to the spear I took from the chest in the previous portal and began to move forward.

Chris used his skill that got {Bullseye F+|| Headshot does more critical damage by 15%} and shot two arrows on one goblin, while Jake, Zach and I went in and dealt with three goblins. The big goblin got behind me without being noticed and was about to attack, however, Alex quickly took care of him by piercing his sword through its heart and pulling it out quickly while throwing a dagger he had looted to another goblin taking another out.

One of the mages, was preparing a spell, and a fireball began to form above his head.

"Shit prepare to dodge; we need to get out of the way" John

The fireball began to fly towards us, and it was faster than expected. But it was not flying towards us, but Chris who was in the back-shooting arrows towards the other mage, taking it down. He saw the fireball coming towards him, and he could not move, he was scared and shocked. However, before anyone could react, Alex used all the power in him, to run faster and push him out, only to get hit in the back by the fireball.

'Ahhhhhhhhhh' Alex

His screams bouncing through the room, without stopping, and only getting louder and louder. Then the screams began to die down, until he fell to the ground and his body was turning into ashes.

'ALEXXXXXXXXXX!' Chris

Chris's eyes turned into a malicious form and picked up his bow and activating his skill once again and hitting the other mage, barely grazing his cheek. I ran towards the mage, with rage and the remaining goblins got in the way to protect him. I threw the spear with all my might, piercing through one of the goblin's armor on his left chest. I took out my sword and slashed another goblin, splitting apart his body in a horizontal way.

I quickly got to the mage, and he took out a dagger, without time to cast another spell. I stopped the dagger with my hand, piercing through it, and activating my skill, {Goblin's Fist Rage F}. Punched him twice in the head, and it exploded into pieces.

The last two remaining goblins looked at us and smiled, the noble began to laugh and signaled the lieutenant to attack us, he took out his longsword and began to walk towards us, not giving us enough time to prepare again.
