The Fight for Freedom! Azure Dragon Emperor's True Power!

Astral Plane

3rd Person POV

"SON OF A BITCH!!!" (Y/N) cursed furiously as he paced around through the star reflective waters below him. "WE WERE SO FUCKING CLOSE TO WINNING!!! BUT YET AGAIN, MY DUMB ASS, FAULTY AS FUCK, PIECE OF SHIT HEART JUST HAD TO STOP AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIMES!!! HOW MANY TIMES?! HOW MANY MORE TIMES DO I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS FUCKING BULLSHIT?!" He questioned, kicking some of the water.

"Alright, calm down you big baby." The Azure Dragon Emperor advised from on of the nearby rock formations.

"Hey up yours dragon! You don't know me!" The enraged devil snapped.

Starvlador's yellow dragon eyes stared at (Y/N) scoldingly. "You do know I've been with you since you were a child right? So, out of everyone you know, I know you the most."

"I know you do!" (Y/N) yelled back. "It's just a figure of speech!" The young devil scoffed. "Who's the idiot now?"

"Still you."

(Y/N) looked down in silence, processing what his dragon had just said. He grew enraged and charged at the dragon, only to be swiped away by his giant tail, crashing down on his back into the water. "Did I just get bitch slapped by a tail?" He groaned as he tried to shake off the hit he had just endured.

"Yes. Yes you did." Starvlador answered, earning a groan of annoyance in reply. "You're letting you anger cloud your judgment. And taking out your frustrations on me, the one who trained you, is not going to do much I'm afraid."

"I know..." (Y/N) replied weakly. "I just..." He stuttered, feeling tears fall down his face as he looked up at the star filled sky. "I promised Rias I'd save her, and in the end I let her down. I just don't understand why this keeps happening!!" He cried, hiding his eyes behind his arm. "I'm such an idiot..."

"No, you're not an idiot." Claimed Starvlador as he hopped of his mount and approached the crying young devil. "A failure? Absolutely."

(Y/N) grew confused, and rather hurt by his mentor's claim. "Not really what I need to hear right now old man." He rose up and looked at the dragon standing before him.

"But you're still alive. You still have a chance to save Rias. So are you going to stay there, lick your wounds and hope someone else does the job that YOU were meant to do?!" The Azure Dragon roared. "Since when were you the type to accept defeat while you still drew breath?" He questioned.

(Y/N) looked down at his armored hand, clutching it tightly and he recalled everything his done. Every challenge he's faced, and how he managed to beat the odds despite everything. He dried his eyes and look to the dragon with determination. "I need some help if I'm gonna do this right."

The azure scaled dragon smiled, bearing his fang. "Excellent. But first, you need to wake up." His voice boomed, shooting (Y/N) back into reality.

(Y/N)'s Room

(Y/N)'s (E/C) eyes shot wide open, instantly seeing darkness on the right while he stared at the roof with his left. "What...What happened?" He questioned, raising his right arm to touch the right side of his face, only to feel bandages wrapped around his head. As he felt the wrappings, flashes of the Rating Game plagued his mind almost instantly. More specifically, how the Rating Game ended. "Rias..." He whispered, feeling tears stream down his remaining eye. He slowly rose up from his covers and gripped his hair in anger, slamming his left arm into the wall, only to feel stinging, numbing pain follow almost immediately. He looked over and quickly noticed his left arm was missing from halfway of his bicep downwards. He shuffled over to the edge of his bed and gripped his stinging stub tightly, hunching over in pain. "Rias...I'm so sorry..."

Flashback

"To get this far, standing on will power alone..." Rias's tears would not stop flowing. She held (Y/N)'s head close to her heart, wanting to never let him go. 'He fought for me and he ended up like this...' She looked down to the charred side of his face and the cauterized stub of his missing arm. 'Even when you lose an eye or an arm...you never gave up. You were always there...Always putting other's wellbeing before your own. But because of me...I've nearly lost you...' She and her servant fell to their knees, placing the unconscious devil's head into her lap, letting him rest as she felt his remaining life energy linger by just a thread. "Everyone...Akeno, Kiba, Koneko, Asia, Issei, Kohaku...and (Y/N), thank you. You all fought so hard for your cowardly master...But...I've lost...I resign."

Present

"Rias...Why?" He questioned tearfully.

"I'm surprised you're awake." A familiar voiced claimed.

Before (Y/N) appeared a silver magic circle, revealing a familiar silver-haired maid emerging from the stardust within.

(Y/N)'s eye widened at her sudden appearance. "Lady Grayfia? What are you doing here?" He questioned.

"I simply came to check on your progress." She claimed. "How do you feel?"

(Y/N) chuckled weakly at the question. "Horrible." How else was he supposed to feel? "Look at me." He motioned to the maid.

"I see..." Was all Grayfia said.

(Y/N) sighed and scratched his head. "How'd I get here?" He asked, trying to change the subject.

Grayfia suddenly went silent, looking down with a solemn expression. "The battle ended shortly after Lady Rias surrendered."

"So...we really lost." (Y/N) realized as his head hung low.

"I'm afraid so. Lord Riser was declared the victor." The maid added.

"But why?" (Y/N) questioned. "Rias wouldn't have just given up like that. She'd keep fighting no matter what. So why?!"

"Lord Riser was going to kill you; she surrendered to save your life." Grayfia explained.

(Y/N) rose his remaining hand to his face, placing it on his hurting head as he tried to recall the event, only remembering small fractions, such as his match with Isabela and Siris, achieving his Balance Breaker, and unleashing that new-found power. "The Game...I can only remember bits and pieces of it, but anything more than that is just one big blur." He claimed.

"You didn't give up." Claimed Grafiya. "Every time he knocked you down, every time he broke you, you got right back up."

More and more images flashed through the young devil's head, painting a clearer picture for the confused devil. "What happened to the rest of my team?" He asked.

"Lady Rias instructed Miss Asia to stay here and take care of you." Informed the silver haired maid. "After all, you were hurt pretty badly." She added. "The rest of them are in the Underworld. Lady Rias wanted them with her for what comes next."

"And Issei?"

"While not a fatal as you, he was injured fairly gravely. He's still resting at the moment." the maid informed.

(Y/N) fell back onto his bed, his arm covering his face as he thought. "So..." He uttered. "The others are in the Underworld?"

"That's correct. The Engagement Party will be starting soon."

(Y/N) remained silent, only to step off his bed and walked towards his closet for a new change of clothes and a briefcase.

"So, what are you going to do?" Asked the curious maid.

"I'm still standing aren't I?" He questioned sarcastically. "If I have the energy to stand, then I have the energy to fight. And that's exactly what I'm gonna do!" He declared as he turned and faced Grayfia, delivering a determined gaze. "I'm gonna go and get my master back!"

Grayfia simply hummed at the Dragon Emperor's declaration. "You should know that Rias is only abiding by the decisions of the Gremory Household." She explained. "Sadly..." She added. "The outcome of the battle is the way it was always meant to be."

"That a load of horse shit and you know it." He snapped as he removed his shirt and donned a clean one. "The only reason we lost was because of my fault!" He said, pointing to himself, his thumb pointing at his heart. "You know that don't you?"

Grayfia said nothing, only stared as he continued to undress and redress, clearly not caring for the present company that was in his room.

"Let's say that my heart didn't give out at worst possible fucking time, what do you think the outcome would've been?" (Y/N) questioned.

Again, Grayfia said nothing. Simply because she knew the truth. If (Y/N)'s heart had not faulted as it did, the Rating Game would've went to her Sister-in-Law. She would've won and be freed from this burden. "I'll ask again, what do you plan to do?" She questioned once more.

"Like I said..." (Y/N) said as he tightened his pants around his waist. "I'm gonna go to the Underworld and get my master back." He claimed. "Just the mere thought of forcing someone to live a life they don't want to live makes me sick." The young devil added. "I won't stand idly by and watch Rias suffer. Nobody deserves to accept a horrible life they don't want to live." His left eye sharpened, shifting to it's more dragonic state for a brief second before reverting back to its normal (E/C) iris. "I refuse to let that bastard take her. I'll fight my way through anyone who stands in my way." He proclaimed as he walked towards the silver-haired maid. "And if you choose to try and stop me..." He stood right before her and stared directly into her eyes. "Then I'll fight you too."

The two devils stared each other down, not uttering a single word until Grayfia chuckled, baffling (Y/N).

"What?" He asked.

"You really are a fascinating man, (Y/N)." Claimed Grayfia. "You're an open book and a gentle soul, but you're not afraid to fight for what you believe is right. You care deeply for the people in your life and do whatever it takes for them to be happy, regardless of your own wellbeing." She explained, taking the young devil's hand and holding gently as she led him back to his bed. "I've met a lot of devils over the years, but never one quite like you." She added as she took a seat, prompting (Y/N) to do the same. "Once your mind's made up, there's nothing that can slow you down." She added as she placed her hand over his lost eye. Her hand glowed and within a few seconds, his eye was restored. She reached over and gently grabbed (Y/N)'s stubbed arm, gently placing her hand on the tip and conjuring a magic circle, reforming his arm back to the way it was as she worked her way down until the very end of his hand.

(Y/N) looked down in shock, seeing his left arm return felt so bizarre to him. He patted it down to see if it was real, which revealed to be true. He rose up off the bed and walked to his full-length mirror on the wall, gazing into his newly restored eye. It was true. No longer was he broken, he was whole once more.

"I'm not the only one who feels this way you know." Claimed Grayfia, rising up off the bed and approaching the young devil from behind, handing him a peice of paper. "Sir Zechs feel the exact same way."

(Y/N) looked down and accepted the peice of paper. Upon closer inspection, it appeared to be a magic circle inscribed on it, but an unfamiliar Family Crest in the middle. "What's this?" He asked.

"When you're ready, this can transport you to this engagement party."

(Y/N) looked up to Grayfia and nodded in gratitude. "Thank you."

"Also, Sir Zechs gave me an important message for you." She added, gaining the dragon-devil hybrid's attention. "If you want my sister back, (Y/N), you'd better be prepared to fight."

(Y/N) scoffed with a grin. "That's the idea isn't it?"

The Ultimate Queen chuckled as she smiled. "I suppose so." She said as she held up her hand, conjuring another magic circle in her hand, summoning a familiar object that once belonged to the Azure Dragon Emperor. "Oh, before I forget. I wanted to return this to you." She said, gaining the attention of the preparing young devil.

His eyes went wide at the sight of his mask. The maid handed it to him and he observed it's craftsmanship, completely devoid of cracks or chipped pieces. The object he held dear and was smashed to pieces by Riser during the Rating Game was back in his position.

"I took it upon myself to restore it to it's previous state. It's would've been a waste to let such a beautiful peice of art remain destroyed."

(Y/N) nodded gratefully once more. "Thank you." He said.

Grayfia nodded back and stepped away, summoning a teleportation circle to leave. "I suppose I'll see you soon." She smiled before disappearing.

(Y/N) remained silent, only to stare down at his mask and the flyer the Ultimate Queen gave him, turning it over and seeing a more advanced sigil inscribed on the back. "Alright then..." The door to his room suddenly opened. "Hm?" He looked over and saw Asia holding a bowl of water and a wet cloth in her arm, a shocked look on her face.

"(Y/N), you're up..." The innocent girl awed. She dropped the bowl of water on the ground and and tackled her guardian.

"Woah shit!" He yelled as he and Asia feel onto his bed. "Asia, what's the matter? You okay?" He asked.

"I'm sorry!" She cried, letting her tears flow. "I was just so worried about you! You were so hurt and out for so long..." She wept. "I didn't know if you'd ever open your eyes again. I was scared, (Y/N)."

(Y/N) looked down at the blonde with apologetic eyes. He had never meant to make the poor girl feel so worried. But in the end, he did. He slowly rose up and gently rubbed Asia's back reassuringly. "I'm sorry..." He apologized. "I never meant to make you worry about me like that."

The Bishop rose up off of the Pawn's chest and dried her tears, trying her hardest to keep a smile. "No, don't apologize. You're safe now, and that's the only thing that matters to me now." She claimed, quickly noticing (Y/N)'s fully restored right eye. "(Y/N), your eye! It's back to normal!" She claimed as she gazed at it, shifting to his left arm soon after. "And your arm! How?"

(Y/N) laughed awkwardly and scratched his head. "Well, Grayfia actually was just here a moment ago. She healed me and gave me this." He explained, showing Asia the flyer he received.

"What is that?" She asked in curiosity. "It looks like the flyers we hand out for deliveries."

Asia's guardian nodded. "Grayfia told me that this'll take me to the Underworld, where the Engagement Party's being held." He explained. "Asia, listen to me..."

"Okay." She nodded, giving (Y/N) her undivided attention.

"I have to go and rescue Rias." He claimed.

Asia looked to her guardian in worry. "Are you sure? You think that's a good idea?" She questioned nervously.

"Good idea or not, I have to do it." (Y/N) claimed. "I promised I'd save her, and that's what I'm gonna do."

"Then I'll come with you!" Declared the innocent devil.

"I'm sorry, but you can't." (Y/N) denied. "What I'm about to do it too dangerous and I don't want you getting caught up in the middle of it." He declared, denying Asia's aide.

"Please let me come with you!" She begged. "I can help you if you get injured! I've gotten much better at using my magic! Please don't make me stay behind (Y/N)!" She beseeched, holding (Y/N)'s hands tightly.

"Don't worry. I won't do anything reckless. Trust me, everything is gonna be alright." He reassured.

"Don't make a promise you can't keep!" Asia shot back rather assertively, shocking the young devil. "I know you. And I know how reckless you can be! Especially when it comes to helping others! If something horrible happens to you while you're away, what am I supposed to do?" She questioned as more heart-wrenching tears formed in her eyes. "I can't stand to see you hurt again!" She claimed, her tears flowing down her face. "Oh (Y/N), I don't know if I could bear it if I wasn't there to help!"

(Y/N) stared at Asia, and acknowledged what she said to be true. Even so, he couldn't let her come with him. At least, not to the Underworld. Chances are, the place of the Engagement Party would most likely to be armed to the teeth. He'd be stepping into enemy territory, and he himself wouldn't be able to bear it if Asia was hurt because of his actions. He quickly wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, holding her tightly in his reassuring embrace. "Asia, please, trust me." He pleaded. "I'm gonna be alright." He claimed once more, letting the tearful girl go. "Besides, after everything I've been through, I'm still in one piece right?" He smiled reassuringly.

Asia closed her eyes and said nothing for a few brief moments. "If I let you go, you have to promise me two things."

"Anything."

"No matter what..." Asia's emerald eyes opened, donning a determined gaze. "Promise me you'll bring Rias back home with you. And promise me you'll come back safe and alive." She ordered.

(Y/N) smiled. "Guess that's two people I'm making that promise two." He mumbled. He looked to Asia and nodded. "I promise!" He smiled. "But first..." He added. "I'm gonna need you to help me with something."

"Of course, what is it?" She asked.

"I need you to get me a bottle of Holy Water and a Cross." His request confused Asia. "What I'm gonna do is gonna require these things. Can you lend them to me for tonight?" He asked.

"Yes of course." She agreed. "I'll get them right away." She said, rising up off of (Y/N)'s bed to fetch the requested items.

"Thanks, I'll meet you in the living room. I'll get the rest of the things ready." He claimed, releasing Asia to collect what was requested of her.

(Y/N) spent the next few moments grabbing the things he needed and put them into a light bag along with the briefcase. He grabbed both and exited his room, only to find his Heroic Spirit servant and familiar resting against the wall outside his room. He simply smiled and knelt down to their level, giving Artoria a gentle shake to wake her.

The King of Knight's eyes flickered open for a few moments before widening at the sight of her master right before her. "Master?" She questioned.

"Hey Artoria, you okay?" (Y/N) asked with a smile.

"Master!" The blonde knight cried in utter joy, pulling her master in for a massive hug. "Oh Master, thank heavens you're okay! I don't know what I would've done if you had never woken up!"

(Y/N) chuckled awkwardly, Artoria's words sounded familiar to him. "Yeah, you and Asia both." He laughed as he broke the hug of his servant. "Hey, mind coming with me? I'm gonna need to watch Asia for a bit so I can do a thing."

Artoria looked at her master with cautious eyes. "Master, are you sure that's wise? I mean, you've just woken up." She pointed out, quickly taking notice of his newly restored eye and arm. "And your eye and arm, they're restored? How?" She questioned.

"Grayfia restored them." (Y/N) explained. "Listen, I'm going to go and save Rias. But I need to do something first. Can you come with me?" He asked.

The King of Knights gazed into her master's (E/C) eyes, looking as his righteous fire burned with determination. She couldn't help but smile. "Of course Master." She smiled, summoning a mighty wind and conjuring her blue and gold battle dress and silver armor. "My sword shall forever be yours, wherever you go." She claimed.

"Thanks." Artoria's master smiled.

A gentle yawn arose from the floor.

The two sword users looked down and watched as Kohaku stretched and yawned like a cat. She scratched the back of her ear before looking up at her master. Her eyes instantly lit up with utter delight. "Master! I'm so happy to see you back to normal and well!" She proclaimed.

"Thanks, mind coming with me somewhere?"

"Of course!" She cheered, summoning a small otrnado and changing into her White God Beast form. "I am your familiar Master, I will follow you anywhere you wish."

"Great." He smiled as he lead the way downstairs.

As everyone reconveined in the living room, (Y/N) looked inside his bag an double checked to make sure he had everything he needed. Mostly spare clothes along with his small breifcase.

"Sorry!" Asia appoligized as she ran downstairs donned in her Holy Sister attire, a bottle of Holy Water and a small box containing a Cross in her hands. "Here, sorry it took so long."

"No worries." (Y/N) reassured as he held the bag open. "Just put 'em in here for now."

Asia placed the items inside of (Y/N) bag, only to watch him tighten the entrance by pulling its strings. "So, where are we going?" She asked.

(Y/N) smiled, only to extend a hand to her. "To see an acquaintance of mine who can help. C'mon." He said as Asia took his hand.

"How do you know this acquaintance of yours will help you?" Artoria asked as she held onto her master's shoulder.

Kohaku approached and placed her paw on her master's leg.

"Because, he has to. He owes me, and he knows it." He claimed before teleporting to his destination.

Himalayan Mountain Castle

As (Y/N) and his allies appeared atop the mountain, they were met with an instant blast of freezing wind. (Y/N) conjured a magic circle and shielded everyone from the hash cold, only to gaze in amazment at the massive castle structure before them.

(Y/N) slowly approached the door, holding his hand out to his companions. "Stay there." He ordered as he grapped the massive door's gold handle. "Ra's, you Jafar looking motherfucker, open the damn door! You owe me a favor, and I'm here to collect!" He roared.

The doors slowly opened, allowing the group inside and out of the blizzarding storm.

Upon entering, they walked through a massive entrance hall with multiple pieces of fine art and statues. However, the art was not the only thing they had encountered upon entering. "Asia, stay behind me." He ordered, summoning his Blazblue: Limit Breaker and Oath Maker. "Kohaku, keep her safe. Artoria, ready your weapon. Looks like things are about to get messy." He claimed as he eyed the multitude of dark-garbed soldiers and ninjas that appeared out of nowhere, pointing their guns and swords at him and his friends, ready to engage within a moment's notice.

"Everybody, chill the frig out!" Ordered a familiar voice to the Azure Dragon Emperor. "We don't need to cause a damn blood bath in here. I'm mean, for God's sake, we just had the floors waxed." The man with the authoritative voice descended down the stairs, eventually revealing himself, instantly staring at the familiar young devil and his companions. "Well well well, if it isn't the Azure Dragon Emperor. To what do I owe the pleasure?" He smiled.

"Cut the crap Al Ghul, you know what I'm here for." (Y/N) hissed, clearly showing he doesn't want to waste any time. "Now call off your goons before your hall gets a new paint job." He threatened.

Ra's immediately understood and quickly rose his hand. "Everyone, back to your stations and posts. Me and the homie are gonna head back and talk shit, ya dig?"

Ra's minions lowered their weapons and immediately began to disperse, returning to their regular duties.

(Y/N) and his friends began to climb the stairway up to the old Asian man, evenutally stopping once met face to face.

The old man hummed in curiosity, staring at (Y/N), eyeing him and examining his figure. "How long has it been, child? Seems like only yesterday you were up to here." He questioned, putting his hand against his gut.

"I'm not here for pleasantries Al Ghul. You know why I'm here." (Y/N) stared with hostility.

Ra's looked at the gaze and sighed. "Come with me, we shouldn't talk here in the open." He suggested, leading the group to another room.

Ra's Study

"So, uh...do you want some wine or are you just gonna stare at me?" He asked the irritable devil as he poured himself a small glass of wine.

"One: I'm underage. Two: I don't have time to waste on you." (Y/N) practically growled.

"Master..." Artoria stepped forward, gaining attention. "How is it you know this man?"

Ra's placed his drink down onto the small table nearby. "Oh my, how rude of me. It seems we have some unfamiliar faces." He bowed politely. "My name is Ra's Al Ghul, the leader of the Leauge of Assasins."

"His group and I have crossed paths on occasion. Usually for the mutual benefit of protecting the balance and order around the world." (Y/N) explained. "Now, introductions aside, I need you to make good on that favor you owe me."

"Anyone ever tell you your bedside manners suck?" Ra's replied.

"I need to use the Temporal Distortion Rift." The Dragon Emperor claimed, slightly intriguing the assassin leader.

"I see." He hummed.

Sudeenly, the door burst open and a paniced man stumbled in. "Uh Lord, it's Damian." He informed as he gasped for air. "He found the Weapons Room again."

"Oh, not the swords!" Ra's groaned.

"I'm afraid so sir. He's already maimed seven of us." Informed the paniced attendent.

"Well don't just stand there, go stop him." Al Ghul ordered. "It's already way past his bedtime."

"But uh...I uh..." The attendednt stuttered, clearly not wanting to engauge this 'Damian' again.

Ra's glared at the frightneed man with his evil silver eyes.

The man gulped. "Yes sir..." He whimpered before taking his leave.

"Who's Damian?" (Y/N) asked with a raised eyebrow.

"None of you scaly dragon ass business." Ra's snapped irritably. "Now listen, there are two things I don't just let anybody use. And it's The Lazarus Pit and The Rift. And frankly, your little favor isn't going to cut it." He claimed as he took a sip from his wine glass.

"Why are you making this so difficult for me?" (Y/N) growled.

"Why do I refuse to help you?" Ra's reiterated. "Well, gee willickers let's think about that one..." He said sarcastically. "Maybe it's because you bone-rammed my daughter and I hate you!"

Everyone in (Y/N)'s group gasped with utter shock at this sudden reveal, while (Y/N) himself simply groaned in annoyance as he rubbed his hand down across his face. "Oh for Christ sake, we've been over this multiple times Ra's!" (Y/N) shouted. "One: She raped me. Two: I was unconscious. And three, which is the most important by the way; I WAS TEN!!!" Countered (Y/N). He sighed in aggravation he rubbed his eyes in frustration. "Look, I don't have time to debate this with you. If you won't let me use the Distortion Rift by calling in my favor, then maybe we can make a deal."

Ra's intrest was piqued once more, his eyebrow raised with curiosity. "Oh? You'd make a deal with a devil?" Ra's chuckled malisiously.

"You're not the only devil here pal, and yes." (Y/N) agreed as he crossed his arms, resting against the wall. "As long as it's something I can manage and you don't use it for anything evil, then I'll try and pull some strings."

"I want tickets to the next Calamity Trigger concert." Ra's immideatly responded.

(Y/N)'s eyes shot wide open at hearing the elder's request. "R-Really?" He asked perplexed. "I never would've imagined you to be a fan of K Breaker and his work."

"How could I not?" Ra's exclaimed excitedly. "His music is beyond amazing! Anyone who doesn't love Calamity Trigger's works should be dragged out into the street and shot!" He cheered, making (Y/N) feel somewhat flattered as well as somewhat disturbed by Ra's claim.

"So, do we have a deal?" Ra's questioned.

(Y/N) sighed in defeat, seeing that there was no other way to negotiate without resorting to violence, which he was hoping to avoid. After all, he was pressed for time. "I'll see what I can do."

"Mm, that's about as good as I'm going to get out of you huh?" The elderly assassin asked.

"Right now? Yeah." (Y/N) claimed bluntly. "Now can we get going already?" He wondered impatiently.

Ra's hummed, a sinister looking smile crept onto his face. Then again, that was simply how he smiled. "Follow me." He said as he led the way, (Y/N) and his allies followed closely behind.

Dimly Lit Cave

As the group continued to follow the head of the League of Assassins through the dark cave, their path slowly began to illuminate as more brightly lit torches on the wall began to appear the further they went.

"How much further?" (Y/N) inquired.

"Not much." Ra's replied.

"Um (Y/N)?" Asia spoke as she held onto her guardian's sleeve.

"What's up?" He looked back in question.

"I was just wondering what this 'Rift' you were talking about was." She questioned.

"I too am curious about this 'Rift'." Artoria added.

(Y/N) sighed, trying to think of the quickest and easiest way to explain it to the curious girls. "The Temporal Distortion Rift, or The Boundary as some call it, is basically a small pocket dimension that connects our reality to another. You can think of it as a pathway inside a gate if that helps." He explained.

"I think I understand." Claimed Artoria. "So you're going to this alternate reality to ask for assistance in recovering Lady Rias?" She asked.

"Not exactly..." Answered the master. "But it is going to help me." He added.

As they continued walking through the darkness with fading flames as their guides, the group began to spot people in armor standing out of the pathway and against the wall. They were most likely guards to protect The Boundary/Rift.

Ra's finally stopped walking and tossed his torch into a nearby goblet, setting it and the lanterns around it ablaze, revealing a pitch black cave entrance ahead.

"Here you are. The Temporal Distortion Rift." Ra's showed the devils and servant.

(Y/N) stepped forward and placed his bag and briefcase down, opened them both and checked to make sure everything was inside for when he started and was finished.

"You know how it works; whatever you need, just imagine and you'll be able to conjure it." Ra's instructed.

"Right." (Y/N) replied bluntly.

"How long will you be in there?" The elder questioned with curiosity.

"A minute." The young devil answered, tightening his bag.

"I see." Ra's hummed.

(Y/N) walked over to Asia and held up his bag to her. "Mind holding onto this for me?"

"Sure." The blonde healer smiled, taking the bag and holding it close. "How long are you really going to be in there?" She questioned.

(Y/N) looked down to check his trading clothes, tightening them and securing them onto his body. "Like I said...Only a minute." He turned to the Bishop and smiled confidently. "I'll be back soon." He reassured, grabbing a chunked blue crystal from inside and walked to the pitch-black entrance. He held up the crystal in his hand and it immediately shattered.

Almost instantly, the pitch black of the cave in front of him became illuminated by a swirling blue and purple colored vortex.

"Artoria, if anyone tries to pull anything, don't be afraid to retaliate."

"Yes Master, I understand." Artoria nodded as she watched her master walk towards the swirling portal.

"See you girls in a minute." He waved as he entered the vortex.

Temporal Distortion Rift/Boundary

Upon entering, (Y/N) was met with nothing but darkness. Even the water he trekked through was pitch black. However, a few more steps further, the darkness dissipated and revealed to shape into his Astral Plane within his mindscape for when he and Starvlador had discussions face to face.

"Alright Starvlador, let's get started!" He called.

His Sacred Gear glowed briliantly, immideatly conjuring an image of the Azure Dragon from within.

"Very well, what do you wish to work on?" The dragon questioned with his mighty roar.

"I wanna practice more with that new power from before, as well as my Sacred Gear."

"I see..." The Azure Dragon Emporer nodded. "But first...you know what you must do before we begin."

"Right..." (Y/N) nodded, raising his Blazblue: Limit Breaker to his chest. "You and I need to make a deal."

Rift/Boundary Entrance

As (Y/N)'s party waited anxiously for his arrival, Asia continued to glance at everything around her and her friends, feeling nervous as the guards stared at her and the others.

"Worry not Lady Asia, I'm here to keep you safe until Master returns." Artoria reassured.

Asia smiled. "Right. Thanks Artoria."

Suddenly, the blue and purple vortex reappeared within the cave, shocking the girls on the outside.

A shadowy figure slowly emerged from within the portal. His long and wild (H/C) hair reaching down to his waist. His clothes were slightly torn, revealing his scared, more defined, and toned body. A bandaged wrapped around his right eye.

The girls stared at the man with uncertainty. He looked rather familiar, as did his presence.

"Who..." Asia stuttered as she approached the man. "Who are you?" She asked.

The man said nothing. He simply smiled.

Phoenix Household

Rias Gremory, donned in an extravagant wedding dress, stepped forward before a full length mirror and stared at her dress in disgust. "This is an engagement party?" He questioned. "So then why the hell am I in a wedding dress?"

"Because Riser wanted it." The Nobelmen's voice echoed as he appeared through a bright and brilliant blaze.

"No Lord Riser, you mustn't!" One of the maids protested. "Men aren't allowed in here!"

"Just a word with his lady and Riser will be out momentarily." Riser waved the woman off. He stared at the white dressed Princess of Ruin, intoxicated by her beauty. "Look at that dress. You really are a beautiful bride, my love." He marveled.

Rias simply crossed her arms and turned to face the man she despised. "I'm not a bride yet; sorry to disappoint you." She claimed, quickly noticing three claw marks going across Riser's left eye. She scoffed at the sight. "Nice scar." She commented.

Riser gently caressed the scar and simply chuckled. "Oh yes, a little memento from that oversized and irritating feline. Annoying little cretin really. It fits that servant of yours." He insulted with a smirk, earning a hateful glare from his fiancé.

"What do you want Riser? What's with the dress?" She questioned.

"What's with the dress?" The Phoenix Noblemen repeated as he wrapped his arm around Rias, causing her to cringe with rage and disgust. "Riser just wants you to make a good impression on our esteemed guests my dear." He explained. "After all, we need to demonstrate to the world that our two Houses have joined together. Right?" He released Rias and walked away as he laughed. "And don't worry..." He added as he turned back to the redhead. "You'll have a dress even more stunning than that one when the time comes. Lord Riser's bride will be adorned in a gown of flaming feathers. It's only fitting for a Lady of the House of Phoenix!" He claimed before vanishing within his flames.

"A dress made of flaming feathers?" Rias asked. "I think I'd be better of killing myself." She claimed, sighing in disgust. The crimson haired beauty looked down, a solemn and regretful gaze formed upon her face, remembering the final moments she had with (Y/N) before she was taken away.

Flashback

Recovery Ward

Before Rias laid (Y/N), covered in bandages, bruises and burn marks. A respirator placed on his face to aid in his weakened breathing.

"I'm sorry." (Y/N)'s master whispered. She leaned forward and hugged the unconscious young man. "I'm so sorry (Y/N)." She cried, tightening the embrace on her Pawn as tears fell down her face. "I never meant for any of this to happen. How could I let things end up this way? You're so brave...So strong...and sweet. Thank you for everything."

"Lady Rias..." Grayfia approaches the tearful devil. "It's time we returned to the Underworld." She informed.

The King of the Gremory Peerage sniffled as she dried her eyes, whipping away her tears. "Okay." She nodded. She rose up off her chair and prepared to leave. She turned back to her servant once more and caressed his face. "Thank you for everything (Y/N). And thank you for seeing me as who I am. I love you so much." She smiled, leaning down and gently pecking his cheek.

Present

'(Y/N)...' Rias thought.

"Lady Rias." One of the maids called. "It's time."

Phoenix Ballroom

Many royal devil families gathered within the massive room, chattering and fraternizing with one another.

Over in the distance, Ravel Phoenix, surrounded by the other members of her brother's Peerage and other devils, giggled proudly as she went on and on about the Rating Game. "My incredibly talented brother won himself a bride by demolishing the Gremorys, even that fabled "All Powerful" Azure Dragon Emperor. But of course, I had no doubt we were going to win from the beginning. But we had to keep it close so it wasn't a complete bore." She proclaimed proudly.

"Interesting. I had no idea that was going through your head when (Y/N) blasted you and your Queen into nothing." Kiba teased, exasperating the little Phoenix Nobel.

"O-Oh please, that was nothing more than dumb luck. He wouldn't have stood a chance otherwise!!" She snapped back, turning away in a huff.

"She's delightful." Rias's Knight smiled.

"Yes the girl's got quite the mouth on her, doesn't she?" A familiar voice questioned as she approached the rest of Rias's Peerage.

"Sona what's up?" The blonde greeted casually.

"The outcome not withstanding, I thought it was a good match. Though I wouldn't have complained if the end result had been a bit different. And that Pawn of yours really took me by surprise time after time. I hope he gets better. Going through what Riser did to him had to have been unbearable." The King of the Sitri Peerage claimed, bowing to her fellow devils in respect.

"Thanks for the support, but I promise this thing isn't even close to being over." Akeno reassured. "And don't worry about (Y/N). The guy's a lot tougher than he looks. Once he's all healed up I'm sure he'll be back on his feet in no time. Ready to kick ass once again." The black kimono wearing ravenette reassured with a smile.

"We'll get another shot at them, I'm sure. Only next time, we'll be ready for their tricks." Kiba added.

"Yeah screw those d-bags." Koneko added, taking a sip of her drink.

Suddenly, a massive flame emerged from the stage at the head of the Ballroom, gaining everyone's attention. As the flame dissipated, Riser Phoenix emerged in an extravagant, yet gaudy, white suit. "Greetings renowned devils of the Underworld." He greeted, a victorious smile plastered on his face. "On behalf of the House of Phoenix, Riser would like to thank each and every one of you for coming today. This is a historic moment for the world of devils. And I want our dear guests to be the first to know. Two great dynasties are about to become one. Lord Riser of the distinguished House of Phoenix, shall wed Lady Rias of the illustrious House of Gremory! And now...!" He waved his arm to his side, his eyes become more vile and wicked. "I present to you...My bride. Rias Gremory!"

Through a red Gremory magic circle, Rias appeared in her wedding dress, now wearing a veil in addition.

Suddenly the door in the back opened and was slammed shut almost immediately.

"Lord Riser!" The guard cried in panic.

The Noblemen growled. "We're in the middle of something!" He snapped. "What is it?!"

"I know, and I apologize, but there is an intrud-" The guard stuttered before being launched all the way across the room by a massive explosion behind him, practically blowing the doors off the hinges as the guard rolled onto the ground, landing in front of the stage before falling unconscious.

"This is what you Nobles call a party?" Asked a familiar voice. A dark cloaked figure emerged from the smoke, his face hidden by the hood and his body covered by the cloak itself. "My God this is dull. I'm mean really, how is this a party if nobody's hammered?" The man questioned. "Oh well, guess it's a good thing I'm here." The man removed the hood from his head, revealing his identity. He rose his blue armored claw and slammed it into his other hand into its palm. "I brought enough "punch" for everybody." He smiled.

Rias' eyes shot wide open with utter shock. The last time she saw this man, he was practically on his death bed. But now, here he stood, though donned in partially torn clothing, longer and wilder hair than she had ever seen him have, as well as a stubble of facial hair on his face, and bandages wrapped around his right eye, it was indeed who she believed it to be. Her faithful servant had arrived to save her.

"(Y/N)!!!" She cried in utter joy.

"Hey Rias! I'm getting you outta here, so just sit tight!" He hollered back.

"You're still alive?" Riser began to growl viciously like a mad dog. "You miserable little pest! Who do you think you are?!" He questioned.

"I'm (Y/N) (L/N), and I'm here to bring Rias Gremory back where she rightfully belongs! And that's with someone who loves her for who she is!!" He declared as he pointed to himself. "Nobody is gonna make her live a life she doesn't want to live!"

Rias instantly blushed upon hearing her servant's declaration.

"How dare you!!" Riser hissed.

"Seriously is this guy mental?!" Ravel questioned.

"Seize him!!" Riser ordered, summoning guards to surround him.

One guard lunged his halberd toward the devil, only for him to be slammed in the face by (Y/N)'s armored claw.

Another guard approached and rose up his weapon. Not even a second later, he was kicked in the gut and sent flying into many of the other guards.

Another guard swung his halberd, only for it to be caught and pulled away and out of his hands. He wasn't instantly slammed in the gut by the blunt end of the ax-bladed spear and was knocked down.

More guards approached, and one by one, they were each easily countered, attacked, and disposed of by the party crashing Dragon Emperor.

After the final guard had been rendered unconscious, (Y/N) rose the halberd and chucked it to Riser, sending it flying and missing his head by mere inches before becoming imbedded into the wall behind him.

Riser looked back as the weapon that was hurled at him and his scarred eye twitched with seething rage, quickly looking to his servants. "What are you stupid harpies standing around for?! Kill him!!" He roared.

One of Riser's Rooks, Shueran leapt forward and engaged the Pawn, instantly donning her fighting stance.

"Oh hey!" (Y/N) boomed cheerfully. "I remember you!" He pointed. "Chun-Li knockoff!" He smiled. "How's your neck?" He asked teasingly, pointing to the back of his neck.

The martial artist conjured flames onto her foot, sending it flying in a flurry of kicks at (Y/N) which he easily evaded and dodged.

During one of the attacks, he gripped her leg, surprising her before slamming her to the ground, creating a massive crater where Shueran's body laid.

For behind, Karlamine descended with her burning sword drawn, ready to strike down the Azure Dragon Emperor as she unleashed a mighty battlecry. As she swung down her sword, (Y/N) immediately and very easily caught it within his claws. "If you want to sneak up on me..." He pulled the Knight in close, only to knee her in the gut and kick her away. "Then don't scream like a banshee!" As he walked past all the injured and unconscious bodies he had caused, he looked to Riser. "RISER PHOENIX!!!" He howled as he approached the Nobelmen with open arms. "THERE'S SOMETHING YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT US GREMORYS!!! WE FIGHT TO THE LAST MAN!!! SO AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED, THE RATING GAME'S STILL GOING!!!"

Riser growled. "AND HOW DO YOU FIGURE THAT?!" He barked.

"SIMPLE, I NEVER YIELDED!!! AND AS YOU CAN SEE, I AM NOT DEAD!!! YOU FUCKED UP BIG TIME!!!" The Azure Dragon Emperor declared loudly with a proud smile.

"Kill him...KILL THIS TRASH NOW!!!" He roared in pure rage.

Out from the ground below, only a few steps away from the approaching young devil, a golem made of stone and fire emerged before him.

(Y/N)'s eye opened wide with surprise and intrigue. He looked around and saw that Riser's other Bishop was the one who had summoned the golem.

"You can summon Magma Golems?" He questioned before sighing in disbelief. "Once again, a servant who's proven to be more capable and more powerful than their actual, garbage master." He slammed as one of the golem's arms came crashing down on top of him.

"(Y/N) MOVE!!!" Rias cried.

Before impact, (Y/N) rose his hand and caught the massive boulder. "Shame it's still weak though." He claimed, crushing the massive stone as he clenched his claw shut.

The golem swung its remaining arm at the unwavering devil, only for it to be shattered as the defendant blocked the oncoming attack.

"Anything else?" He asked, prompting the Magma Golem to sprout a pair of tendril with spinning stone drills at the ends. His eyes widened and he looked back to the Bishop. "That thing has tendrils?" He asked.

The Bishop smirked proudly.

(Y/N) nodded as he looked back at the golem, an understanding smirk plastered on his face. "That's not something you see everyday. I'm impressed." He claimed.

The golem's tendrils lunged at the devil, only to be jumped over.

(Y/N) landed on one of the whips, only to run across up to the head. He jumped off and rose his leg, heel-kicking its head, causing a massive crack to form all the way to the bottom.

The golem crumbled to pieces and fell to rubble.

(Y/N) landed casually and proceeded onward.

Ni and Li pounced toward the advancing Azure Dragon Emperor, only for Ni to be elbowed in the head as her sister Li was kicked away.

(Y/N) continued his approach towards the Master of the Phoenix Peerage, no one thought to get in his way. However, two more of Riser's servants suddenly appeared before the young devil, the Noblemen's remaining Rook and Knight.

"Siris..." He stared at the sword user before shifting over to the brawler. "Isabela..." He looked at the girls, determination burning in his eyes. "You know this is wrong. So please, let me make things right." He pleaded.

The two girls glanced over to each other, simply smiling and stepping out of the way, clearing his path.

"Go." Prompted Isabela. "Go save your master."

(Y/N) smirked as he continued onward. "Wouldn't be here otherwise." He claimed, delivering a high five to both of the girls.

"You treacherous whores!" Riser snapped.

"I've waited along time for this..." (Y/N) muttered, mere steps away from the stage. "So how about you stop wasting time and get to the part were we beat the shit out of each other. Or more accurately..." The young devil rose his hands, and cracked them loudly against each other as he glared at the blonde Noblemen. "I...beat the shit...out of you." He growled.

"You little..." Riser hissed.

"Is this your doing?" One of the nearby devils questioned the Noblemen.

"Lord Riser, what is the meaning of this?!" Another devil asked nervously.

"It's just a little entertainment I prepared." An unfamiliar man approached. His crimson red hair almost matched Rias' perfectly. His sapphire eyes could pierce into the very soul and his armor gave of the impression of nobility.

'Who the hell's this guy?' (Y/N) thought.

"My brother's here?" Rias said, sounding shocked.

"Wait...He's your brother?" Rias's Pawn asked.

"It's the Great Devil, Lucifer!" A devil proclaimed.

'Well, he certainly looks...important.' (Y/N) claimed silently.

"What exactly do you mean by entertainment?" Riser questioned Sir Zechs.

The Lucifer rose his hand, prompting Riser to calm himself. "I watched the Game, Riser. And honestly, I was underwhelmed by you." He claimed. "My sister lacks your experience and yet against your considerably larger forces, she almost had you beat. Even your famous Bomb Queen and little sister had suffered spectacular defeats at this young man's hands." Zechs explained as he motioned to (Y/N), who simply continued to watch as the Devil King continued to rail into the anger increasing Phoenix.

(Y/N) glanced over to his master, only to see a surprised look in her eyes. It's fair to say that she had no idea what was going on anymore.

"It's the final result that counts, my Lord." Riser argued.

"In the past...But the games don't mean what they used to. Besides, Riser, you were nearly brought to your knees by a first time competitor. I can't imagine your family's very proud of the way you performed, especially with what you did to this boy near the end. However, I think you should be given another chance." Sir Zechs smiled, causing Riser to grunt in annoyance. "Besides, we don't have a celebration like this every day. This party could use some flair I think..." He approached the observing young devil, who had just finished eating some form of cheese snack that was being served at the party.

"Meh..." He shrugged in disappointment. "Subpar..." He flicked the toothpick away.

"You there." The Great Devil King called out, gaining the dragon-devil hybrid's attention. "They say you have the power of the True Dragon and the Blades of Order, and I for one would like to see what you're made of, which is why I had Grayfia bring you here this evening." The crimson haired man explained.

"I see..." Riser smiled. "You want a fight."

"Dragon vs Phoenix, yes. I believe your guests would quite enjoy a head to head match between two powers such as yours." Sir Zechs explained.

"No please don't." Rias begged.

"An excellent idea my Lord. I'd be more than happy to oblige you." Riser laughed sinisterly.

"And you dragon? There are many here who have quite an interest in seeing your abilities. Would you be kind as to show them what you're capable of?" The Great Devil King cajoled the young devil.

"So you're asking me to beat the crap outta this guy again?" The young devil asked as he pointed at Riser. "Then hell yeah! Sign me the fuck up!"

"(Y/N) don't do it!" Rias begged her beloved servant, not wanting to see him get hurt again.

"Relax Rias." Riser said, placing his hand on her shoulder and stepping closer to her side. "Mr.(L/N) is a big boy. Riser is certain he can handle himself."

"I don't need you to speak to me you pompous windbag. But yeah, I'll be just fine. After all, I nearly beat him last time we fought, remember?" (Y/N) provoked, causing Riser to growl.

"(Y/N) please don't-"

"Rias!" (Y/N) silenced his master's plea. He smiled warmly in reassurance. "I'll be okay, I promise. I'm gonna get you out of this, I swear."

Rias looked on in worry, her hand tightening on her chest.

"So tell me Dragon, if you are the victor, what would you like to have as your reward?" Questioned Sir Zechs.

"You can't be serious!" A devil shouted.

"A reward for a lower class devil?" Another devil protested.

"Your King has spoken!" The Lucifer snapped back, silencing all of the devils against his proposition. "Lower class or not, he'll get his prize. I'm

The one that's requested this of him, I must give him compensation for his trouble." He explained. "What would you like to receive? A title? Or perhaps a woman of great beauty? Ask, and of you win you shall receive."

"There's only one thing I want, and she's the only reason I'm here..." He pointed his Sacred Gear to his master. "And it's Rias Gremory!" He declared, a blush emerging on the woman's face.

Battle Arena

Mere moments after the affairs were sorted, both Riser and (Y/N) were transported to an arena. It looked as though it was made last minute. Broken stacks of stone were all around the arena walls, as well as massive stone chess pieces in each corner.

Upon the ground, (Y/N) stood in silence. His arms crossed and his eyes closed, his breathing steady and mind empty, readying himself for the battle that was soon to come.

"All right..." Sir Zechs's voice projected. "It's time to get started."

(Y/N)'s eyes shot open, both his (E/C) eye and yellow dragon eye sharpened, ready for anything the Phoenix Noblemen would try to pull.

"You messed with the wrong family this time (L/N)! My brother's about to tear you a new one!" Ravel proclaimed.

"Yes..." Riser smiled sinisterly, his top removed as he readied for battle. "He's quite the confident one, but Riser'll take him down a few pegs. Come boy! Fight me!" He sprouted his wings of fire and took flight, soaring high into the sky.

As the battle began, everyone watched with anticipation. Though, most were assuming Riser would win because of who he was, Rias held hope within her heart, yet was balanced with uncertain worry.

'(Y/N)...please be careful out there.' She prayed.

However, (Y/N) made no attempt to move. He simply continued to stare at Riser.

The blonde Noblemen smiled, seeing this as his opening. He quickly formed a massive ball of fire within his hands, it's grew to be the size of the arena floor itself. Wasting not a single second more, he threw it at (Y/N), who still simply watched with disinterest.

"Promotion...Queen."

The fireball collided with the ground, engulfing (Y/N) in the great inferno.

Everyone in the ORC looked on in horror. Rias began to cry.

"(Y/N)...no..." She wept, choking on her own tears. She buried her face in her hands, hoping to avoid the sight of her beloved servant be utterly annihilated.

Riser descended to the ground of the arena, watching his own beautiful display of death and fire.

"He...hehe...Hehehehehe...HAHAHAHAHA!" He laughed maniacally. "Riser guesses his sanity broke at the last minute and he just decided to give up! Do you see this Rias Gremory?!" He called loudly. "Now accept your fate! And become my bri-"

Suddenly, the ball of fire which Riser threw was slowly risen up off of the ground.

"What?!" Riser questioned in disbelief.

The scorching inferno rose higher as its holder casually walked out of the crater it formed, holding the blazing sphere with ease and revealed himself to be unharmed, leaving the audience agasp, as well as Riser himself.

"Well Riser, looks like you dropped the ball!" (Y/N) proclaimed jokingly, causing Riser to twitch in anger. "Dropped the ball..." He repeated.

Riser said nothing and simply stared at the Pawn with utter hatred.

"Drrrrrrrrrrroped the-"

Riser snapped and sent a small blast of fire at the blazing ball, setting it off and causing a massive explosion.

DRAIN!

The explosion began to shrink, slowly disappearing into a vortex. After a few moments, the explosion remained as a small orb of fire within (Y/N)'s Blazblue: Limit Breaker. With ease, he crushed it and absorbed the remaining power, increasing his own tremendously. Unable to contain it all, his dragonic blue and red aura erupted out, encasing him within.

"(Y/N)..." Rias stared in amazement.

Riser clenched his fists, watching as (Y/N) approached him slowly, encased is azure blue and red aura.

"I've trained an entire year for this moment." (Y/N) said menacingly. "An entire year I waited to finally have the chance to make you pay for what you've done." He stopped, and glared at Riser with his cold eyes, filled with rage. "And now, it's finally time for you to get what you deserve!" He shouted, his aura bursting out more intensely.

"W-What is this?!" Riser asked. "Where did all of this power come from?!"

(Y/N)'s gauntlet glowed, it's shine becoming more intense by the second.

"BLAZBLUE!" He rose his dragonic arm towards the sky. "BALANCE BREAKER!" He cried, becoming fully encased in a blinding blue light that filled the whole arena.

TRUE DRAGON! OVER BREAKER!

The light died down, and in (Y/N)'s place, stood him and his Balance Breaker, blue dragonic armor with yellow spikes and red jewels surrounding his body. "I owe Rias Gremory my life! And I will not let you ruin her happiness by taking away her freedom just so you can fulfill your own selfish desires!" He shouted, his dragon wings sprouting from his back, his transformation complete. "Allow me to show you what your actions have wrought! Azure Dragon: Scale Mail!"

"Wings? When did he get those?" Rias asked in total shock.

However, upon this new transformation, Riser chucked arrogantly, which soon developed into a full bit of laughter.

"It doesn't matter what kind of trick you pull boy!" He said, conjuring his Phoenix flames into his hand and charging at the armored devil. "No matter what trash you pull out, it's still trash!" He shouted, throwing his punch.

(Y/N) simply moves to the side, easily evading it and delivering a swift uppercut of his own at Riser's jaw, sending him flying. (Y/N)'s wings spread wide, rising him to the sky to give chase.

"Rias doesn't belong to anyone, bastard!" (Y/N) shouted, forming a blue ball surrounded with red sparks in his hand. He punched it and sent it speeding towards the Phoenix Nobel. "DRAGON SHOT!"

TEN!

The shot missed, crashing into the pillar behind him. As the dust settled, Riser looked around frantically for the boy.

"Damn, where are you?!" He shouted furiously.

"OVER HERE!" (Y/N) shouted as he teleported in front of Riser, appearing to attack, but quickly vanished again. Reappearing from behind and devivering a vicious punch on Riser's face, shooting him towards the ground.

"Get up, I'm not done with you yet!" The armored devil ordered.

NINE!

Riser shot up from the ground, his flaming wings burning ferociously.

"You...how dare you!" Riser shouted. "Riser's never seen this kind of speed and power before. Who did you think you are (L/N)?! You are nothing compared to Riser, understand?! NOTHING!!!"

"That's some ego you've got, considering that fact that I'm kicking your sorry ass, I'd wager to bet that I am something." (Y/N) replied, crossing his arms, waiting for his opposition's next move. "Something you shouldn't have fucked with...But most importantly...It's a servant in the service of Rias Gremory. And I will do anything to ensure her happiness."

Riser grew enraged by (Y/N)'s declaration, where as Rias smiled happily through the tears in her eyes.

"I am a Phoenix Noblemen! The flame of the immortal bird burns within me! The hell-fire of my clan will scorch you to dust!" Riser shouted as he encased himself with fire in the form of a bird, immediately charging at (Y/N).

EIGHT!

"Please, you think I'm scared of you?!" (Y/N) shouted back, charging at Riser.

The two clash and sparks flew within the struggle to push each other back.

"The only reason you won yesterday was because of my own damned heart." (Y/N) stated, releasing more power and pushing Riser back.

The two devils charge up their punches once more and charge at each other again.

"But now that I have better control of it, I'm gonna use every ounce of my strength to destroy you! I'll make you regret ever messing with the Rias Gremory Peerage!" (Y/N) shouted as they clashed once more.

Their immense powers surged uncontrollably as the struggle for dominance raged on. With a flicker of light, an explosion of blinding light formed between the two, surrounding the whole arena and the spectator's view in blinding light.

However, within the light of battle, the two crossed each other and traded blows, one's punch successfully connecting.

"...You missed." (Y/N) claimed, with Riser's hand mere inches from his helm.

SEVEN!

"What?! GAH!!" Riser coughed up a large amount of blood and proceeded to fall back down to the ground of the arena. "This pain...it burns!" Riser cried through the pain. "What have you done!?" He asked.

(Y/N) smiled under his helmet and presented him his something with a silver shining object on a chain.

"No, it can't be! Is that a Cross?!" Riser asked as he collided with the ground.

(Y/N) descended to the ground as well using his wings as he held out the cross.

SIX!

"Where did you get that?!" Riser questioned, struggling to stand back up.

"Our Bishop used to be a Holy Sister of the Church. I borrowed this from her so I could deal a little extra damage." (Y/N) explained. "You may be powerful Riser, but you're absolutely nothing compared to the Cross I hold in my hand!"

"Impossible! A devil can't hold a cross!" Riser claimed, growing more fearful for his life. "Even wearing your dragon armor shouldn't stop that thing from destroying you!" The Noblemen suddenly felt something surge from (Y/N)'s right arm. Upon closer inspection, it revealed to be more dragon than his own. "It can't be." He said in disbelief. "Wait, you offered that dragon your own arm, didn't you?!"

FIVE!

"Damn right it did, but that was years ago. My right arm hasn't been mine for a long time. But I gave something else up for this fight. And now, I'm gonna take you down with the power I received from both of them!" (Y/N) declared as he slowly walked towards Riser with the cross still in his hand.

Flashback

"This arm hasn't been mine for a long time...Ever since I was a child even." (Y/N) claimed.

"What'?" Asia asked, confused by her guardian's words.

The dragon-devil hybrid smiled, opening the box that contained the Cross Asia had grabbed for him. He grabbed it by its chain and took it out holding it with his Sacred Gear. "See? It doesn't hurt me. I'm okay. This would explain why I can hold Holy Weapons." He reassured the Bishop.

Asia said nothing, only staring at the young devil with tears streaming down her face.

Present

"Have you lost your mind?!" Riser asked, backing away. "After what you've done you'll never be the same again!"

"I could care less! I've always been different!" (Y/N) declared, throwing the cross back into his hand. "I don't care what happens to me!" (Y/N) shouted, his dragonic aura erupting like a raging inferno.

(Y/N)'s Home

'(Y/N)'s given up so much for this. He's going to win, I just know it.' Asia thought, holding her dragon familiar in her arms tightly. 'He'll beat Riser, and he'll bring Rias back home to us.'

Artoria approached the Bishop, placing her arm on her shoulder in reassurance.

Kohaku approached Asia from the other side, brushing up against her and taking a seat.

Battle Arena

FOUR!

"As long as I can protect the people I care about and help the innocent, I don't give a damn what happens to me!" The young devil proclaimed, his power skyrocketing.

THREE!

(Y/N) pulled his hand back and began charging a large amount of energy into his fist. "But at this very moment, if it saves Rias, than that's all I care about!" He prepared to launch himself towards the flaming noble. "Because she's worth it!" He roared, taking off at breakneck speed, forming a crater and shockwave beneath his dragon armored feet.

Rias grew overjoyed at (Y/N)'s declaration towards her as she and everybody else watched him charge at Riser.

TWO!

Riser panicked as (Y/N) grew closer and closer, the massive amount of magical power stored into his fist, waiting to deal the final blow.

ONE!

"YOU'RE DONE RISER!!!"

COUNT IS UP!

The armor around (Y/N) suddenly broke away and it's pieces disappeared. He stumbled a bit but managed to recover as he began to fall. He pushed off the ground with his hand and continued his charge for Riser, this time without the Dragonic power charged within his fist. However, that didn't stop him from delivering a solid punch in Riser's face, sending him flying into the stone wall behind him.

(Y/N) stared at the crater in the wall, trying to catch his breath.

"Damn it..." He cursed.

"Oh no, his armor's gone." Akeno said worriedly.

"This isn't good." Kiba stated.

However, though all of the worried expressions and feeling everyone watching had, (Y/N) simply smiled.

"Hey, Starvlador...Am I good to use it now?" He asked.

"Why are you asking me? That power is yours and yours alone. You manifested it. You trained with it. You have to use it at YOUR discretion." The Azure Dragon Emperor said with confidence.

"...Alright then." (Y/N) smiled confidently as he watched Riser regain his composure, stepping out of the rubble that fell on top of him when he collided with the wall.

Riser instantly noticed the confident look of (Y/N)'s face.

"What? What's with that look? Has your sanity finally kicked in?! DO YOU NOW REALIZE YOU CAN'T WIN?!" Riser asked furiously, and in denial.

"Wow, that pride is really sticking." (Y/N) said as he sighed and crossed his arm. "No, actually, I was just thinking now was a good time to finally get serious and show you what I can really do." He proclaimed confidently.

"What are you talking about?!"

"Wow, you don't remember my Black Heart form?" (Y/N) asked, referring to the transformation he underwent during his bout with Riser during the Rating Game. "You know, the form I practically decimated you with? I was sure I made an impression. In any case, I'll let you in on a little secret, seeing as how you probably won't survive this." (Y/N) began to explain. "See, before I came here, I decided to get in a little training. An entire minute's worth to be exact." He said, holding up his armored index figure.

"Are you joking?! DO YOU REALLY THINK ONE MEASLY MINUTE OF TRAINING WILL BE ENOUGH TO GIVE YOU THE UPPER HAND?!" Riser questioned furiously, enraged by the boy's story. To him, it sounded like he was goading and taunting him.

"Well, a minute out here versus where really I did it." (Y/N) continued.

"What are you talking about?!"

(Y/N)'s smile grew. "Somewhere in the world, there's a place that doesn't match with the flow of time here in this demention or reality. It's an entirely different realm on it's own that connects to another reality. And while I was there, I managed to get in a whole year's worth of training done in one minute."

"W-What are you saying?!"

"What I'm saying is...I'm about to show you what I can really do. My Balance Breaker stores the energy I output back into me whenever I use it. Meaning I get a power boost every time I deal out some well deserved punishment." (Y/N) smiled confidently, making Riser flinch. "Now Riser, witness the power of my dedication and devotion to my master, pushing me to become stronger." He declared, closing his eyes and channeling his dark powers.

Everyone watched in silence and anticipation.

However, the Noble Phoenix saw this as an opportunity to strike down his opposition. He smiled wickedly and raised his hand, conjuring a ball of fire.

"You try anything and I'll break that hand." (Y/N) said as he still focused his energy, knowing what Riser was going to do.

In defeat, Riser lowered his hand and waited.

(Y/N)'s body suddenly became engulfed in black and green aura. It's presence leaked pure darkness. Lightning began to fall from the sky as clouds began to form above the Stadium, Viewing Area, and the entirety of the Underworld.

"What's happening?!" Riser asked, looking up at the sky. "What's going on?!"

"What in the world? How is (Y/N) doing this?" Rias asked, clearly confused.

"Incredible..." Sir Zechs mumbled in awe, nearing the edge of his seat.

"What?" Rias asked her oddly excited brother.

"In all my years, I had no idea that we'd be in the presence of another one. They really haven't all perished." The Great Devil King said in pure joy.

"What are you talking about?" Rias asked, clearly confused by her elder brother's new attitude.

"Just watch Rias, and you'll see." Sir Zechs suggested. "What you are about to see..is pure power."

(Y/N)'s eyes opened, now donned a malicious green hue. He unleashed a mighty roar of power, immediately becoming encased in darkness. It reached to the sky and engulfed the whole arena. After a short while, the pitch black darkness faded away.

Everyone regained their sight and looked upon the battle ground once more. However, some were horrified by what they had seen, mostly Riser. What stood in place of (Y/N), was a tall dark figure made up of nothing but darkness and shadows. Green marks glowing on his body and small flames of black and green fire surrounded the being. It's eyes finally illuminated, sending a shiver down Riser's spine.

"What's that matter Phoenix?" The creature asked in a deep and evil tone. It steps forward, burning the ground it touched with each step. "Where's all that courage you had? By any chance, are you scared of me? Am I not still the low-class devil, (Y/N) (L/N)?" The being of shadows asked, revealed it's identity.
