Highway Star

Elahnay City

3rd Person POV

Rain poured heavily down onto the seemingly empty streets of Elahnay City in the dead of night.

An unknown man ran over to a nearby eave to catch his breath and hope for the rain to stop. However, as he approached, the man spotted a woman standing by herself, coated in a cloak that concealed her face.

Reaching the nearby cover, the bespectacled man sighed in relief. "This rain sucks, doesn't it?" He asked the woman by his side, only to receive no response. "So, who you waiting for?" He asked, making an attempt to pick up this unknown woman. "Your boyfriend? Your husband?" He leaned over to get a look at the woman's face. "You'll freeze to death if you hang around here." He advised, his gaze slowly making its way up the woman's toned legs. "Hey, why don't you forget your boyfriend and come with me? I'll find us a warm place. I can buy you a nice dinner." He offered eagerly.

Although the woman remained silent, she nodded in agreement.

"Good answer little lady!" The man beamed in excitement, watching the woman walk off. "H-Hey! W-Wait up!" He cried, reopening his umbrella as he followed after her.

Abandoned Warehouse

The man laughed upon entering the rusted and worn down building, hearing echos through the entire metal compound. "What's going on in here?" He asked, looking around. "There's nothing here." He claimed.

"Is that what you think?" The woman finally spoke to the man. Walking over to the nearby closet, she opened the door, only for a skull to roll out from the massive pile within and onto the floor.

The man stared at the bone and was shaken. "Wh-What's going on here?" He asked in a panic.

"Why, have you forgotten?" The cloaked woman asked as she approached the frightened man. "That's so insensitive of you..." She claimed, looking back at the skull. "Considering you're the very man responsible for this." She accused, causing the man to look at her with bewilderment and fear. "Recently, there have been a string of women gone missing in Elahnay City. Each one of them was picked up by some guy and treated to dinner, then spent a night with him at a hotel, and ultimately went missing when he brought them to this abandoned building."

The man scoffed and smiled, doing his best to keep his composure. "Oh come on, you think I did this?" He asked. "Give me a break." He shifted his shades. "Do I look like the kind of human being who would do something like that?"

"You don't look like a human being." She replied with an intense glare from her red eye.

The man began to shift and change his appearance, transforming into a giant black and white monster. Taking a swing at his intended prey with his massive claw, he missed as he ripped the cloak she wore to shreds.

As the black-haired bobbed cut woman reached from around her black miniskirt and pulled out a CZ-75 pistol. Smiling confidently, she shot the stray devil twice in the chest.

Watching blood flow endlessly out of the strays' monstrous white body, she smirked as she guarded the next oncoming attack. "I prefer you in this form." She said.

The stray devil roared, swiping its massive claws only to knock the pistol out of the hunters' hand.

Landing her backflip, the Devil Hunter pulled out two more firearms, a VZ.61 Scorpion submachine gun and another CZ-75, immediately opening fire on the monster, riddling the creature with blood flowing holes and blowing off limbs, the Devil Hunter reduced the monster into nothing but a smoking pile of monstrous flesh.

After the woman's dance of bloodshed and flying bullets had finished, clapping echoed through the hollow walls of the abandoned compound.

"Wow! That was really cool! A wonderful performance! You're a real Devil Hunter, no doubt!" An unknown boy in the distance praised enthusiastically.

"Who the hell're you guys?" The woman asked with hostility.

"Hey hey! Take it easy missy. Sorry if I scared ya." The boy laughed, stepping out of the shadows and into the shining moonlight, revealing himself to be rather young, nearly a teenager. Brown hair and amber eyes, a white short-sleeved hoodie with a golden cross design along the zipper, dark brown shorts, a shoulder hard plate across his upper frame and a small white stuffed animal on the hilt of his sheathed long sword. "My name is Hibiki. And this is Mitsubishi." The brunette introduced himself and his colleague.

The man to Hibiki's side stood much taller than him. Wild and long black hair and a white and red Japanese-styled fox mask on his face. The only clothing he wore were black and red combat boots, bandage wrappings on his wrists, and pitch black pants with black, purple and red belts across his waist, his upper body covered all over with lotus tattoos and a dragon tattoo on his back.

"Okay. What d'ya want?" The Devil Hunter asked again.

"Oh, well we're here because we heard that a female Devil Hunter was in the area, so we figured we'd come and check out your abilities. And we have a job for you should you accept...Miss Lady." Hibiki offered with a pleasant smile. "And it involves an old associate of yours that lives in Kuoh City.

Mitsubishi remained silent, only to stare intensely through his mask.

Lady stared at the two, her heterochromatic eyes, showed a slight interest as well as caution. "Kuoh City huh?"

ORC Headquarters

(Y/N) groaned loudly in exhaustion and boredom, muffled by the pillow he had smushed against his face.

"Poor thing, he's got to be exhausted." Akeno said as she pet her underclassmen.

"Well, considering that we've had missions back to back, and he had to deal with Beerus, I'm not surprised." Rias chuckled.

The door of the clubroom emitted a knock.

"Hello?" Akeno greeted.

The door opened and a man in a Pizza Hut employee attire entered with a delivery box in his hand. "Hello? I have a delivery! Extra-large meat lovers with jalapeños, stuffed crust and chipotle sauce on the side!" The delivery boy called.

(Y/N) sluggishly and weakly moved himself off the couch and shuffled over to the employee. He took the box and handed the delivery boy a ¥5,000 bill. "Thanks mate, keep the change." He said, closing the door and returning to the couch, setting his pizza on the table and immediately began to eat.

"Pizza?" Rias looked to her Pawn in surprise. "Since when do you order out?" She asked.

"I do on occasion. But I try to limit myself to once every couple months or so." The gorging devil explained, handing the eyeing Koneko a slice of her own. "Besides, I've been having some cravings lately and I have no time, energy or patience to cook anything right now." He added.

"Still, that looks like a lot." Akeno claimed.

"I am in the middle of a craving woman! You do not get to shame me on this, Miss 'Everything painful is my kink'!" He snapped, biting into his slice once again. "Sorry, I'm just really hungry. And when I'm hungry I'm moody and I snap at people."

Akeno giggled. "It's all good, just make sure you have a healthy dinner tonight okay sweetie?" Akeno requested her underclassmen as she pat his head.

"Sure." He agreed, devouring another slice of his dish.

Akeno continued to watch (Y/N) as he ate, only to lightly smile. 'He really hasn't changed at all.' She thought happily.

The door knocked once again and (Y/N) hopped up off the couch once again. "Bet that's my spicy chicken switches." He hoped as he opened the door. "Hello-" He greeted before going silent, seeing who it was at the door.

"Hey kid." Lady greeted happily. "Been a while." She smiled.

(Y/N)'s excitement immediately died upon seeing Lady. With a look of great annoyance and displeasure on his face, he slammed the door loudly and walked back to the couch. "Nope! Nope! Nope!..." He repeatedly declined as he stomped back, laying back down and turning on his side. "NOPE!!!"

"Is something wrong (Y/N)?" Asia asked.

"Who was at the door?" Rias questioned.

"Oh, just some BITCH who needs to learn when to FUCK OFF!!!" He roared viciously.

"Dude, it could've been a contract or request." Kiba claimed.

"Trust me when I say it's not worth it. ESPECIALLY with her." The irritated dragon-devil hybrid explained.

Issei quickly jerked his head to his friend, dashing over with great speed and getting close to his face with a lecherous expression on his face. "HER?! Dude, how we talkin'? 1 out of 10. Was she stacked or nah? Tell me!!" He begged.

"She's a 4...5 at best." (Y/N) claimed. "And that's INCLUDING her personality." He added.

"Well regardless, it's possible she's a client so we should-" Kiba was silenced by a loud explosion blowing the door to the clubroom off its hinges and onto the floor, smoking and smoldering from the impact of the blast.

"Is everyone okay?" Rias asked in worry.

Everyone replied in some way or another that they were okay, only for the combatants of the Peerage to ready themselves and engage the attacker.

"Nice to see you're still as crude and foul-mouthed as usual." The woman claimed, emerging from the smoke with a missile launcher in her hands.

"I don't know who you are, but my servant clearly doesn't want you here. Adding to the fact you just attacked us. So I'd advise you to leave before you're burned alive." Rias warned, conjuring a ball of Ruin Fire.

The heterochromatic eyed woman smirked, lifting up her missile launcher at the group of devils.

"Stop! Stop! Stop!" (Y/N) interjected, stepping in between the two parties, stopping them both from attacking each other. He sighed in agitation, scratching his head in annoyance. "Lady, the fuck do you want?" He asked irritably.

Lady chuckled, lowering her weapon and holstering it over her shoulder. "Seems you've made some new friends. And here I thought you'd grow up being a loner all your life."

"Do I really come off as antisocial? I have a life you know." The young devil replied. "I just tend not to show it when school's involved."

"Oh, is that so?" Lady asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, and I prefer it without you in it." He claimed, crossing his arms. "So what do you want?"

Lady smiled. Slowly walking around the clubroom to look at everything and everyone, she stopped at a nearby window and gazed outside. "And I take it that you..." She glanced at the brunette. "Must be Issei Hyoudou."

Issei was taken back. Some random woman he's never met before knew who he was. "Uh y-yeah. But how'd you know?" He asked.

Lady smiled. "You're the guy (Y/N) always talked about way back in the day. Saying stuff about his "best friend" and "how he saved me from a horrible life I may have ended up living" and so on. It was really sweet." She winked to the boy. "Nice to finally meet you."

Issei smiled sheepishly, lightly bowing in embarrassment. "Y-Yeah, hi."

"Look, it's not like you just came here, blowing off our door just so we could reminisce." (Y/N) interjected. "So I'll ask for the third and final time... What do you want?" He glared. "If it's about a job then you can forget it."

"I can see you're still as cold as always." The black-haired woman claimed.

"That's because the jobs you usually offer are shit jobs. And they never pay!" (Y/N) snapped back.

"That's a fine way to talk." Lady crossed her arms and leaned against the wall, looking at the young devil tauntingly. "Are you aware of how much money you owe me? Don't you get it? I'm here to collect." Lady explained.

"Oh bullshit! I don't owe you a single damn thing!" Replied the Azure Dragon Emperor in rage. "I paid you back for everything I owed you. That's including your little "interest rates", so don't even try to pull that debt shit on me, 'cuz it ain't gonna work! Now, take your skinny little ass, and your thoty ass outfit, your fucking rocket launcher, and fuck off outta here." He waved off impatiently, pointing to the lightly smoking doorway.

"Um...excuse me." Rias called, gaining the attention of the two bickering acquaintances. "I can't help be feel like we're missing some context here." She admitted while the rest of her Peerage agreed. "(Y/N), who is this woman? How do you know her?"

Upon hearing his masters' question, the Pawn sighed in annoyance, dropping his head down heavily as he sulked. "I was really hoping to avoid this." He mumbled before picking himself back up. "Everyone, this is Lady. She's an old work partner of mine from when I worked freelance." He explained. "Lady, these are my friends. This is Asia Argento, Kiba Yuto, Koneko Toujou, Akeno Himejima, and Rias Gremory. She's my master. And you already know Issei." He introduced.

"I see. I didn't know you were into that kind of thing." Lady said, gaining a confused and concerned look from the baffled young devil.

"What?" He asked.

"Then again, you are at that age where you'd want to experiment, so I wholeheartedly support your decision. Just don't go overboard. And make sure you wear protection, 'kay?" Lady smiled.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!" (Y/N) asked with his face completely red. "And besides, it's way too late to be offering me advice about stuff like that!" He claimed. "Speaking of which, how's your man-hunting luck been?"

This question immediately set Lady off. Pulling out one of her pistols, she aimed it right at the devils' head, only to be met with his palm right in her face with black and green lightning emanating off of it.

"Bitch, you know I can drop your ass in a second if I wanted to. So I suggest you lower the gun and calm your non-existent tits." (Y/N) advised.

Doing as she was told, Lady lowered her firearm and holstered it back. "Look, this job I have involves a stray devil. I heard that this city is under the protection of the Gremory and Sitri families, so I thought I'd come and ask for help..." She explained, pulling out a Gremory Clan flyer. "In the form of a request. And seeing as how you said that your master is Rias Gremory, I now know that you're apart of the Peerage. So I'm specifically requesting you."

(Y/N) took the flyer out of the womans' hand, examining it to see if it was authentic. "I didn't know we outsourced outside of Kuoh. Let alone other countries."

"Well of course. The Gremory family delivers and fulfills requests from patrons and summoners all over the world. We have branches all over the globe." Rias explained.

"Where'd you get this?" (Y/N) asked.

"Elahnay City." She explained.

"Europe huh?... Well, the answer is still no. Personal request or not, you can ask someone else to do your dirty work." The young devil hissed.

Lady sighed, shaking her head in defeat. "Why do you have to make this so difficult?" She asked.

"Well let's see..." He paused, pondering for a reasonable response. He snapped his fingers and pointed back to the bob-cut woman. "Probably because I hate you."

Lady hummed silently to herself, thinking of a way to get her old partner to work with her on this assignment. Suddenly, her eyes went wide and a smirk grew on her face as a solution came to her. "How about we make a deal?" She asked, snapping her fingers and summoning a black void from out of nowhere. Within mere seconds, the void has conjured a rather nice looking pool table.

"Since when do you have a pool table in that little dimensional pocket of your?" (Y/N) questioned the peeping devil huntress.

"If I sink in the 8-Ball..."

"Dodging the question, go figure."

"Then you take the job and help me complete it, no questions asked." She offered as she polished her pool cue.

(Y/N) simply stared at the woman in silence, thinking of a way to get out of this. But knowing Lady and how she can be, he gave up and hoped for fortune to fall in his favor. "You can never do anything easy can you?" He asked. "Fine. But if you miss, you leave, get someone else to help you and never bother me again."

"Done." Lady agreed, leaning down and lining up her shot. Unleashing her shot, the balls clashed with each other and bounced all around the pool tables. Each ball began to slowly fall into each hole. Unfortunately, that also included the betted 8-Ball.

"Woah..." Asia marveled. "That was amazing!" She cheered.

"God...Fucking...Damn it!!" He grunted, grabbing his things before getting off the couch. "Anyone ever tell you you should be a hustler? You'd make more cash, don't ya think? Fine. I'll help you. But this is the last time I do ANYTHING for you that involves money!"

"If it makes you feel better, we just revived a report about a potential stray causing multiple accidents on highways." Akeno explained.

(Y/N) simply stared at the ravenette with a deadpanned stare. "Seriously?" He groaned.

"I'm afraid so."

"Well whatever...So, what kind of job does this involve?" (Y/N) asked as put on his uniform blazer.

"Like she said...Strays of course." Lady informed.

"Hold on!" Rias yelled. "Now listen, you can't just waltz in here, take my servant and make him do whatever it is you want, especially if it involves a potential stray devil in our territory! We'll be taking care of this issue ourselves."

As the female Devil Hunter and Princess of Ruin glared daggers at each other with murderous intent, everyone began to slowly back away in hopes of avoiding any potential bloodshed.

"Okay! Okay! Hold your friggin' horses ladies!" (Y/N) intervened, stepping in between the two women. "Look Rias, as much as I don't want to help Lady, I have to uphold the deal." He declared.

Rias sighed, giving in to her beloved's decision. "Alright." She agreed, albeit reluctantly. "I'll allow this woman to work alongside you for this task. But I want you to bring some backup." She ordered. "Akeno, Asia, think you can handle it?" She asked.

"Y-Yes ma'am!" Asia agreed.

"As you wish madam president." Akeno bowed.

'Guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring Artoria along too. Get her out of the house and everything.' (Y/N) pondered to himself. "Alright, I'm okay with this. But..." (Y/N) looked to the girls, worried about their current attire. "It'd be kinda bad if more attention got drawn to more students from Kuoh if we got involved in the wrong crowd." He explained. "We should change before we head out."

"No worries." Smiled Akeno.

"Huh?" (Y/N) looked confused.

Akeno rose her hand up high, summoning a magic circle beneath her and Asia. As it rose up, the girls' clothing changed into more street-worthy attire.

Akeno donned a black and white striped long-sleeved shirt with a sleeveless vest with a fur hoodie, some scrunchy wristbands, a pair of white short-shorts and black knee-high boots.

Asia became adorned in a grey long-sleeved shirt, a white beanie, a blue miniskirt and black and red sneakers.

(Y/N) blinked a few times before his mind processed. "Well...You're certainly well prepared for this." He said. "I had no idea you could use magic to conjure clothing." He admitted. "You two look great."

"Aw~" Akeno smiled. "Thank you."

Asia tugged her shirt. "I've never worn clothes like these before, does it really suit me?" She asked.

"For where we're going, you'll fit right in." Lady assured.

"Great. Let's go get Artoria and head to the location. That's on your part Lady. Got to the spot and we'll meet you there." He claimed.

"Got it. See you there." Lady confirmed before watching her old partner teleport away with Asia and Akeno.

The Sands: Gases and Auto-body Shop

Rock music blasted from multiple radios around with dancers covering the whole lot. Riders rode their motorcycles around the entire property and around the countless fireworks they were setting off.

"Uh Lady..." (Y/N) called in mild irritation. "What the fuck is this?"

"Master told me we were dealing with stray devils. Surely you were joking about these humans being the devils you spoke of." Artoria asked, now dressed in an all-black suit.

"Check it out." Lady pointed to one of the bikers and their jacket, with the logo "Devils Nest" engraved on the back. "According to the client, these guys are real devils. Are ya scared?" Lady asked teasingly.

"Don't mess with me. Why the hell would a Devil Hunter waste time taking out a bunch of bikers?" The irritated devil questioned.

Lady simply smiled. "And that's exactly why I'm giving the job to a jack-of-all-trades like you." She explained. "I honestly have no idea what the clients were thinking, but they came to me with the job and they said that it was in the town you were living in, so I..."

(Y/N) immediately began walking away. "Fuck this. I'm going home. Come on girls." He beckoned his allies.

"Huh? What's wrong?" Lady asked.

"If some of these people are strays, I can't deal with them while it's still daylight. We can't risk exposing magic to the public." (Y/N) explained. "And to make matters worse, chances are they won't listen to a single damn word I'd say. So...bye Felicia!" He waved.

The female devil hunter simply scoffed. "I mean really, who needs magic when dealing with these pansies?" She questioned. "Watch and learn." She began making her way to a group of biker boys.

"Wow! She's...so confident. So...cool." Asia awed in admiration.

"Asia, trust me. You do NOT want to follow her. She leads to nothing but trouble. Trust me. I've made my mistakes, and most of them involve her." (Y/N) explained, hoping to keep Asia away from Lady and her influence.

"That reminds me, you never specified how exactly you two know each other. Care to share?" Akeno asked her junior.

"Just know her from work. Nothing more to really say." (Y/N) admitted.

Off in the distance, the leader of the biker gang conversed with a small group of their members.

"Well? Is he here yet?" The leader asked impatiently.

"No luck." One member said.

"Might as well forget 'em." One member suggested.

"WHAT?!" The leader boomed in anger, grabbing the lackey by his shirt. "I dare you to say that again! Say it!" He dared.

"Knock it off." The other grunt pleaded to the leader.

"Who do you think you are honey?" A member asked the approaching Lady.

"I'm not interested in talking to you guys, where's your leader?" Lady questioned, standing her ground and refusing to let the bikers intimidate her.

"What the hell is your problem?!" Another biker barked.

The leader slowly made his way towards the devil hunter, causing the blasting rock music to be immediately silenced.

"I'm Vincent, the leader." The long-haired brunette introduced. "What do you want?" He asked.

"Don't mean to bust the part but you guys need to hit the road." Lady ordered.

"What are you talking about?" Vincent looked at the bobbed-cut woman confused.

"We do what we want, where we want!" A biker in a leather jacket bragged.

"See? Told you!" (Y/N) hollered. "Just a bunch of dumbasses who don't know how much of a pain in the ass they are, and talking to them is a waste of time." He shrugged.

"What was that?!" The biker barked. Upon spotting (Y/N), his eyes went wide. "YOU?!" He pointed.

(Y/N) looked at the man baffled. As he pondered, he recollected about this familiar-looking man. It suddenly hit him. "Oh hey! You're the guy I planted in the ground a few months back!" He remembered. "How's your head?" He asked tauntingly.

"Why you...!" The man grunted, tightening his fist in growing rage.

"Hey come on, why're you getting so mad? It wasn't that bad. I mean, I did call you an ambulance." (Y/N) added.

The leather jacket-wearing biker had lost it. He screamed at the top of his lungs and began running towards the young devil at breakneck speed. "I'll kill you, you little shit!!!" He roared.

Tossing the punch away, (Y/N) grabbed the biker's shirt and pulled him forward, sliding his foot underneath and tossed the attacker away. "Still loses his temper at the drop of a hat. I thought he'd learn after I planted his head into the ground."

Vincent signed and rubbed his head. "I'm sorry about the inconvenience to you guys, but would let us do our thing for now?" He requested.

"Any particular reason why?" Akeno asked.

"There's this asshole that I'm looking for that I have to fight." Vincent informed. "My older brother ran against him 3 weeks ago...and got killed." The biker gang leader clenched his fist tightly in anger, remembering the passing of his brother and this rumored killer made his blood boil. "This guy's a legend on the highway, and everyone who's ran against him is dead. And come hell or highway I will avenge my brother!" He declared. "So you and your girls need to move on or else!"

(Y/N) sighed, acknowledging the reason behind this man's motivation. "Look, I can understand wanting to take revenge for the death of a loved one, but we've got a job to do. So if anyone needs to move along...It's you." He glared menacingly.

"What'd you say?!" Vincent snapped, stomping towards the young devil before being stopped by Lady holding his arm.

"Hold on. If you want to pick a fight so bad...Why don't you race him?" The blue and red eyes woman suggested with a sinister smirk. "If you lose, you and your crew leave this place quietly."

"Hey hey hey! What do you think you're doing Lady?! What kind of bullshit are you getting me wrapped up in now?!" (Y/N) questioned.

"Wait a damn minute, I'm not-?!" Vincent was silenced by Lady's finger placed upon his lips.

"This guy you're talking about, his name's "Red Eye", correct?" She asked. "Well if you race him...chances are this Red Eye will probably show up, won't he?"

"Maybe..." Vincent pondered, thinking more and more about the female Devil Hunter's proposition. "...Deal." He agreed.

"WHAT THE HELL LADY?! WHY DO YOU ALWAYS GET ME WRAPPED UP IN THESE DAMNED SCHEMES OF YOURS?!" (Y/N) yelled furiously.

Lady simply turned and winked her red left eye and smiled.

"DON'T YOU WINK AT ME! FUCK YOU!!" The Azure Dragon Emperor barked furiously. As he groaned loudly, he slumped his head down in defeat. There was no way out of this. "Fine. But we race in one hour, when the sun sets at 9 tonight. And I'll be riding my own vehicle! Deal?"

"Deal." Vincent agreed. "Be back here by 9 little man. If not, I'll consider this a forfeit and my crew get to stay here and you and your girlfriend never come here and bug us again."

(Y/N) grew revolted by the mere thought of him and Lady being together. "She's not mine, in fact, I think I just threw up in my mouth, but fine." Agreed (Y/N). He leaned to Akeno. "I'll be back. Call me if something happens." He whispered.

"Got it. Hurry back." The ravenette said.

"Asia stay close to Akeno. And whatever you do, stay away from Lady please." He requested before walking far enough to the point where he could teleport without getting noticed.

Time Skip

As Vincent finished preparing his bike for the race he looked around for his competition.

"Looks like your boyfriend's a no-show. Guess this means he was too chicken to follow through on the bet!" The biker that (Y/N) had beaten bragged. "Why don't you forget that loser and hang with me instead. A hot little piece like you should be with a real man." He eyes creepily towards the girls.

"No thanks. I'm not interested in guys who get their asses handed to them without landing a single blow within the span of 5 seconds." Akeno replied with her usual smiling expression.

"Y-Yeah, (Y/N)'s the greatest guy I know! He'd never run from a challenge!" Asia declared.

The biker grunted and the girls' decline, which made his fellow members laugh.

Off in the distance, the sound of an engine running grew louder and louder. At the vehicle appeared, it shined brilliantly in the moonlight. It's shining silver coating glistened with elegance. The roar of the engine sounded powerful though contained. The bike looked as if it were something directly out of a science fiction book or movie.

"Sorry for the wait, but I made it just in time." (Y/N) smiled as he stopped his bike.

Everyone gathered around to examine and admire the spectacle that was (Y/N)'s motorcycle.

"Master, this machine is truly beautiful. But I don't recall seeing it anywhere in the house. Where was it?" Artoria asked as she brushed her hand across the bike.

"I was having Tony look at it for a bit. Wanted to see if he could tune it up a bit. And he did. And it's awesome." (Y/N) smiled proudly.

"What is this thing?" Asia asked as she continued to marvel.

"This beauty was the first machine Tony and I built together." The young devil patted the machine. " I call it the Motored Cuirassier."

"Nice ride." Vincent called out, gaining everyone's attention. "Is it as fast as it looks?" He asked.

(Y/N) simply smiled confidently, steadying his riding position and revved the throttle, making the engine unleash a mighty roar. "Let's race and find out." He said.

As the two racers pulled up to the starting line, Lady approached the young devil with a helmet.

"I won't need it." He declined.

Lady simply chuckled at her old partner's decline. "Didn't think you would."

"(Y/N) please wear the helmet." Asia begged, worried for her friend's safety.

"Don't be reckless. Please be smart about this." Akeno added.

"When am I not reckless?" (Y/N) replied.

Akeno thought back and gave up, shaking her head in defeat. "Okay. But just be careful okay?" She requested.

"Usually am." (Y/N) claimed. "...Most of the time." He mumbled.

Vincent saw the young devil's decision and tossed his helmet to the ground. "Me either!" He declared.

"H-Hey dude! What're you doin'?" One of the members questioned in worry.

"That's nuts!" Another added.

(Y/N) looked back at the man in slight concern. "Uh buddy, I'd wear that if I were you." He advised.

"Anything you can do, I can do better." Vincent declared. "I'm not gonna let some punk kid show me up!"

(Y/N) sighed in defeat. "If something happens don't blame me." He mumbled. He looked to Artoria and beckoned her closer. "Artoria, how fast can you go?" He asked.

"Almost Mach 1 Master. I can reach Mach 2 if I truly push my limits." The black-suited King of Knights explained.

"Excellent. I want you to stay hidden and follow us throughout the entire race. I'll give you the signal to intervene when necessary. Understood?"

"Understood Master." Artoria bowed, stepping away from her master's vehicle.

As the two racers revved their engine, readying to blast away onto the empty streets.

Lady was the designated flag girl, much to (Y/N)'s dismay.

As the racers waited for the signal be begin, Vincent glared at his opponent the entire time, while (Y/N) simply stared at the road ahead of him.

With the drop of Lady's hand, the racers blasted forward, burning the rubber of their tires as they began their race.

As the riders drove down the empty highway, their engines roared loudly with each passing second. They were neck and neck for a while, that was until Vincent pushed forward and passed (Y/N) and his Motored Cuirassier.

"How d'you like that?!" Vincent asked, blasting forward.

(Y/N) simply glanced, quickly refocusing on the road.

Turning to face the road, the biker gang leader instantly saw (Y/N) in front of him. "What the-?!"

"You're gonna have a hard time avenging your brother if you ride that slow." He advised, increasing his speed.

"Shit!" Vincent growled. Looking down at the red button on his right throttle, with no hesitation, he pushed it and his muffler popped. Within seconds, (Y/N) was behind Vincent once again. "Look at you! This race is all mine! See you back at The Sands ya dickhead!" He goaded.

Hidden away in some nearby hillside forestry, a glowing red light emerged from the bushes. Appearing to be a red-lighted bike with the rider watching the two racers from the hill.

As Vincent's distance increased exponentially, (Y/N) picked up the light hint of sulfur in the air. Instantly having a realization. "He's got nitros? Idiot!" He grunted, increasing his speed.

Vincent wouldn't stop or slow down. Even with the heavy pressure of winds blasting against his face, he roared and grunted through it as his speed continued increasing, his speedometer eventually going into the red.

As the racers reached the bridge, something immediately felt wrong. The air was tense and almost all light had faded. An eerie silence enveloped the two, not even the sound of their vehicles could be heard.

(Y/N) instantly grew worried as he looked around.

A monstrous laugh echoed from afar, gaining the attention of the riders. Off in the darkness ahead, the bike with the red light emerged, conjuring a skeletal head of fog to engulf Vincent.

(Y/N) quickly rose one of his hands and shot spears of black ice at Vincent's bike in hopes of getting him to stop, only for the ice shards to break upon contact. The stray had him in their trance.

Focusing his sight, Vincent stared at the rider on the bike, quickly realizing that it was his thought-to-be dead brother.

"B-Brother?"

"Don't be stupid! Get back!" (Y/N) cried, hoping to get Vincent to listen.

"Brother!" Vincent called, activating his nitros once again and increasing the distance from (Y/N).

"Stop!"

Vincent began laughing uncontrollably, hysterically and madly. His brother, who he thought was dead had appeared to him once again. "Brother! Brother! Brother! Brother!" He smiled like a madman. "Can't stop now! Not when the wind's this good!"

The red lighted racer suddenly emitted an ominous fog from the vehicle, a ghastly whale echoing as it began engulfing both of the racers.

'This sound...!' (Y/N) dreaded. "ARTORIA!!!" He called.

The King of Knights emerged from nothing, donned in a veil of blue astral dust, running by her master's side shinobi style. "Master, what is your command?!"

(Y/N) slide back on the seat of his Motored Cuirassier. "Here, follow that bike! But don't get too close!" He said.

"Yes Master!" The blonde knight grew closer towards her master's bike and grabbed her master's hand, hopping on the seat and grabbing both throttles.

The young devil rose his hands, conjuring black lightning in his right and black ice in his left. Unleashing both at once, he began destroying the metals girders and beams along the bridge, creating loud crashes in the process in hopes of breaking Vincent's trance.

The bridge eventually came crashing down from the extensive damage (Y/N) was causing. Through the chaos and destruction, Artoria skillfully maneuvered their way out of any falling debris.

Successfully escaping the collapsing bridge, Vincent finally broke out of his trance, allowing him to finally slow down enough to where (Y/N) could meet up with him again.

"What're tryin' to do? Goin' this far to avenge your brother?" (Y/N) questioned the seeming exhausted brunette. "It's not going to do anyone any good if you just get yourself killed." He scolded.

A far off gunshot hit Vincent's rear wheel, causing it to drift off towards the ground off the road.

Looking up in confusion, both (Y/N) and Artoria saw Lady on a bike of her own. Putting her pistol away, she gave a thumbs up and sped away, hopping off the overpass and onto the same highway.

"Master, was that-?!" Artoria began to question but silenced herself once she heard her master's aggravated sigh.

"I should've known. That was her plan all along...That fucking bitch!" He hissed.

As Lady landed onto the road, he sped towards the red-lighted biker, pulling out her CZ-75 and shot at it only to ricochet off. Pulling her second CZ out, she fired both to increase her firing rate, only to yield the same result. "Shit!" She cursed.

"The hell're you doing?" (Y/N) barked in anger as he and Artoria pulled up from behind. "You called me in because you said you couldn't handle this! So stay outta my way!"

"Well if you already knew that then what are you waiting for, go get him!" She snapped back.

"You make it sound so easy." The young devil replied.

"What's wrong? Too hard for you?" Lady mocked.

(Y/N) grew a tick mark on the side of his head. "Too hard. What do you know about too hard? Just get back!" He ordered.

Artoria blasted past Lady and grew closer to the target.

Conjuring a communication circle, he contacted Akeno. "Akeno, I need you here! Hurry!" He pleaded.

Within mere seconds, Akeno and Asia emerged from a midair teleportation circle, her wings sprouted and the Bishop in her arms. "What's up, sweetie? How can we help?" She asked.

"Asia, how's your fire magic?" (Y/N) questioned.

"I can make more stable fireballs, or waves of fire now!" She replied.

"Okay! Akeno, fly ahead! Asia, conjure a fireball and drop it right in front of the rider with the red lights once we get ahead of him! Got it?!"

"Right!" The two female devils agreed, taking off higher into the skies to get into position.

Hopping up and letting Artoria slide back of the seat, (Y/N) took control of his vehicle once again. "Artoria, when I give the signal, stab that thing! Understood?"

"Yes Master!" She agreed, conjuring her invisible wind coated sword.

"Alright...HERE WE GO!!!" He roared, bursting with incredible speed. The closer he grew, the more evil and potent the dark energy radiated from the leading motorcycle. Going as fast as he could push his Motored Cuirassier, the two became enveloped in a barrier of supersonic speed.

As (Y/N) and Artoria slowly grew closer to Red Eye, Asia began conjuring her fireball, steadying her aim and waiting for the right moment.

(Y/N) roared, infusing his own magical energy into his bike, increasing its speed exponentially. Eventually passing Red Eye and creating a massive gap between the two racers.

Red Eye emitted a violent shadow and practically jumped at the Azure Dragon Emperor and the King of Knights.

"NOW!!!" He cried.

Asia shot the fireball at the bike turned monster, engulfing it in a smokescreen, allowing Artoria, to jump off the bike, conjuring her battle attire and pierce the monster through its' mouth as she slid across to a ground crushing halt.

"Vile creature, don't you know speeding causes accidents?!" Artoria grunted, deepening her pierced blade into the monster's mouth.

The monster roared and it's red eye glowed intensely. The creature quickly grew appendages and grew into a more monstrous state, its front wheels even changing into some form of a saw blade.

As the metal wheel spun, Artoria began to slowly lose ground.

Behind the struggling knight, (Y/N) rose to his servant's aid, the bike slowly transforming into a spear-like object. Jumping high into the air, he readied to hurl the weapon at the stray. "ARTORIA MOVE!!!" He roared, prompting the blonde to retreat with a mere second to spare. "CUIRASSIER SPEAR!!!" He tossed the silver spear into the beast, causing it to arch back in pain. Teleporting to the stray, he deepened the wound and caused the beast to cry out in pain and anger as blood erupted. The dragon-devil hybrid flew back, conjuring his armored claw within a veil of dragonic energy. "Azure Dragon..." He chanted, bursting towards to monster at terrifying speed. "CLAW BREAKER!!!" He cried piercing his claw within the body of the beast. As he deepened his claw, he twisted the insides until he could unleash a body-splitting uppercut, causing the creature to cry out in agony.

From behind the engaging fighters, Lady rushed over to the scene as fast as she could, jumping off her bike and readying her rocket launcher. Once her target was in sight and range, she launched the heavy artillery into the monster's eye, blinding it and landing back on her bike.

The creature contorted and groaned in unending pain, yet it still lived. Summoning a small red ball of evil magical energy, it unleashed a destructive blast aimed directly at the three.

(Y/N) dashed forward and summoned Oath Maker, ready to send the attack right back at the sender. "FULL COUNTER!!!" He cried, blasting the attack back at the beast.

The monster motorcycle became engulfed within its own attack, exploding into a brilliant detonation upon impact. A massive smoke cloud erupted as fire covered parts of the highway. Finally, the Red Eye stray had been put down.

As the fire continued to burn, Vincent hobbled over as fast as he could, holding his injured arm. "My brother..." He said, continuing onward.

As the fire began to subside, (Y/N) approached Lady from behind and called her out. "You know how I feel about being used. I'm not some fucking tool woman!" (Y/N) growled at Lady.

"Sorry." Lady simply shrugged. "Actually, this is the real job the client wanted to have done."

(Y/N) shook his head in disbelief. "You can never do anything a simple way, can you?"

"A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do."

"God I hate you."

"Well maybe if you just did what I ask you, you might not feel that way." She replied.

"Yeah well, I've been doing that since I was about 9, so I think I'm kind of entitled to hate you." (Y/N) explained.

As the two continued to bicker amounts themselves, Akeno and Asia landed by his side.

"So...is it over?" The ravenette asked.

"Well, seeing as the body of the stray has been reduced to multiple smoldering piles of death, I think it's safe to say so." The Pawn replied.

Looking over, Asia looked at the rider who rode the monster. "Oh my! Look the rider!" She cried worriedly, only to be stopped by her guardian.

"Hold on." He advised.

"Brother!" Vincent cried, running over to the body.

Upon closer inspection, the body did indeed look like his brother's attire, which gave him hope. They could at least have a proper burial. However, to the bikers' horror, the body began to melt into a smoking sludge right before his very eyes.

"B-Brother?" He shuttered in horror, falling to his knees with tears in his eyes. Picking up a handful of the smoldering sludge, he held it tightly as he cried to wake up from this nightmare. "BROTHER!!!"

ORC Headquarters

"I see...I'm glad to hear that the stray was taken care of without any issues. Great work (Y/N)." Rias praised as she ruffled her servant's hair.

"Yep, and since it's over, I won't have to hear from Lady ever again." He smiled, groaning as he stretched. "That's one headache I won't have to worry about any time soon." He sighed in relief, not looking up from his homework. He gently grabbed his master's hand and kissed it gently, proceeding to hold it. "Still, I feel horrible after what happened to Vincent. He just saw his brother turn into mush."

"I understand. Losing a loved one can be hard." Rias added.

"Ain't that the truth." (Y/N) muttered.

Hoping to change the subject, the redhead cleared her throat. "So (Y/N), I was wondering if I could ask you something." She said, a light blush forming on her face as she smiled with eagerness.

"What's up?"

"Well, since we have a long weekend coming up, I was wondering if you-" As Rias proceeded with her request, (Y/N) cellphone rang from the table.

He reached over to check the caller ID, only to groan in irritation before answering. "You see, this is one of my problems with you; you never acknowledge the boundaries of other people. I thought we had a deal."

"Yeah well, this is about the payment." Lady clarified.

"Yeah? What about it?"

"Well, I'm gonna have to add it to your debt." The female devil hunter claimed.

"My de-?!" (Y/N) fell utterly baffled, not sure of what to make of her claim. "The fuck you mean you're adding it to my debt?!"

"Well, of course, we got paid for taking care of old Red Eye, but there were a few other charges. You know, like that bridge you tore up. So, naturally, you're being charged for the repairs." Lady explained.

"Repai-?! BITCH, I RESTORED THE FUCKING BRIDGE!!! THE HELL YOU MEAN I'M BEING CHARGED FOR THE REPAIRS?!" The angered devil roared.

"Oh don't worry, I paid for it. You can just pay me back later. It's ¥20,000,000 by the way. I'll handle the currency exchange. See ya around."

"OH YOU DIRTY BITCH!!!" He yelled, hearing the long tone as the other side of the call disconnected. "God Fucking Damn It!" Yelled in a furious rage, tossing his phone across the wall, breaking it. "This is why I hate her!!" He roared, sitting back down on the couch in a huff. "I do all the hard parts and she stuffs me with the bill!"

"Wow, you just can't catch a break with her can you?" Rias asked, feeling sorry for her beloved.

A sudden knock came from the door, causing the two to look.

"Yes?" Rias beckoned.

The door opened, revealing Vincent with a cast on his injured arm.

"Here you go." Rias smiled, placing the offered tea in front of the biker gang leader before taking her seat next to (Y/N).

"How's you're arm?" (Y/N) asked, referring to the cast.

"I've gotta have it this cast for about a month, but other than that, it's should be fine." The brunette explained.

"I see. And...How are you doing?" He asked.

"I'm..." Vincent paused, trying to find a way to explain how he was feeling. "Still trying to process all of this. It's hard to believe that all of this is real."

"That's natural. But please understand, that after this, we're going to have to erase some of your memory. Unfortunately, we can't let the human world know that magic exists." Rias explained.

"I understand." Vincent reluctantly agreed. "But before you do, I just have something to say." He declared. "That Lady friend of yours told me you were a student attending this school. So I thought I'd drop by and say thanks. So thank you, man. If I kept on like I was, I'd be dead too. For some reason, I thought I heard him; the voice of my brother saying "It'd be a waste for you to die"." He stood up and looked at (Y/N) straight in the eyes. "I'm done chasing the memory of my brother. From this day on, I'm gonna ride for me and me alone. That's why I gotta ask..."

Both Rias and (Y/N) looked confused.

"Would you please race me just one more time?" He asked, a look of deep drive and motivation in his dark blue eyes.

(Y/N) looked at the man for a few moments, only to chuckle lightly.

Rias sighed, but smiled happily.

"How about this?" He pulled out a Gremory Family Summoning Flyer from his blazer and placed it on the coffee table. "I'll race you again, and in return..." He smiled mischievously. "You form a pact with a devil. And don't worry, we're not as bad as everyone makes us out to be."

Unknown Forest

"Aw man! This sucks!" Hibiki whined. "We hired a Devil Hunter and everything!" The boy complained.

"And in the end, she just helped him take down some random stray devil." Mitsubishi claimed as he simply watched the brown-haired boy pitch a fit. "I can't you still paid her. In advance no less."

"Well, I can't just NOT pay her. Besides, she did give up some new information to work with." Hibiki claimed. "Now we know that he's re-attained some of his demonic powers. Even that one move...Uh...What was it called again?" He pondered. "Counter Force? Full Body?" He continued.

"Full Counter." Mitsubishi answered. "Which only makes sense. After all, only the highest ranked amongst his kind can use that technique." He explained.

"Yeah, and you gotta remember who its dad is. Which explains why it's so much stronger than it usually is for their kind." Hibiki replied. "And don't even get me started on his mom!"

"Regardless, he's gotten strong enough to where he eliminated my Berserker. And he hadn't even attained his Balance Breaker before then. If we don't end him as soon as possible, true peace may never come to all of reality." The black-haired man declared.

"Oh, I'm right there with you man." Assured Hibiki. "Besides..." His eyes turned wide and mad, his smile turning into a psychotic grin. "I can't wait to make him beg for mercy. He'll pay for what he's done to humanity. After all, a hero's supposed to kill monsters and save the world, right? We'll kill that monster and lead the living beings who survived his cruelty down the righteous path and purify this reality once again...right?"
