And so darkness fell over the forest. Breathing out gently Rei's breath immediately turned to a haze. His eyes had a strand of light in them as he focused his attention on the structure not too far from where he was. 'I'll have to assume that's the base.' Just from a gRei, Rei had spotted over six different Sound ninja guarding the area.

Acting as swiftly and quietly as possible Rei jumped down from the tree branch he was perched on before landing on the ground. Trying his best not to make a sound Rei made his way towards the first location he spotted a Sound ninja. As he continued to move he froze spotting the back of a sound ninja.

Prepping himself, Rei's movement's happened before his enemy even had a chance to speak. With one quick dash, Rei unsheathed Ryujin Jakka from its sheath. "Hu-" Slashing in a clean arc the ninja's eyes lost their light as his head fell from his body. Glancing over the body Rei remained calm before moving to the second ninja.

He continued to do this multiple times until he had gotten rid of every sound ninja in the area. 'I only spotted six but there were over twelve of them in the area.' Though for a place supposedly being Orochimaru's base of operations, that number seemed small. Hesitating for a moment the thought that this could be a trap flashed in his mind.

'Well if this is a trap then even if I don't go in I doubt they would let me leave either way.' Following that logic, Rei advanced making his way towards a partially above-ground structure. Built straight into the side of a large hill a double-sided gate made out of a strange stone seemed sealed shut.

Placing his hand on its surface Rei couldn't make it budge. "Well, I won't be able to sneak around for much longer anyway." Taking a firm stance Rei's Reiryoku shot from his body causing a strong gust of wind pressure to sweep over his surroundings. Bending his knee's Rei dashed straight ahead of him with both of his arms brought in close to his chest.

"Sokotsu!" The ground and the gate in front of Rei shook violently as the sound of cracking became louder and louder. Crumbling away to near dust the gate gave in seconds before collapsing in on itself revealing a long hallway behind it lit with torches. "Wow…" Looking down at his own two hands Rei couldn't believe it.

Ryujin Jakka had already told him the fact that all of his clan's techniques were imitations at best of the true versions. Without Reiryoku they couldn't have the same effects or come close to the same power due to the limitations of Chakra. However, that attack he just used caused the stone gate to crumble away to dust compared to just being a powerful impact based technique like he learned in training.

Getting a better feel of his strength Rei turned his attention back to the lit hallway. Only pausing for a brief moment Rei dashed forward and began to run through the hallway at a quick pace. As he continued to run he could tell they were aware of his presence due to a large number of footsteps he heard approaching.

At the end of the hallway, Rei spotted a light however that light was blocked by a large group of Sound ninjas. Pouring in from two branching hallways connected to the one he was standing in Rei stopped moving as he recognized something. It was their outfits that perfectly matched the ones who attacked his village.

Feeling a deep threaded anger build up in his chest Rei held out his arm to the right of him. Before the sound ninja could even identify him he began to mutter to himself. "Strike the sinners of which I point and send them to repent…" Starting with a light crackle Rei's entire hand was spoon enveloped with an intense amount of lightning.

The lightning continued to build as it completely blurred him and the area behind him out in a display of blue light. "He's using lightning style!" Simply basing it on the fact that the lightning was so intense they immediately tried to counter. Six different ninjas jumped ahead of the rest before weaving hand signs simultaneously.

"Wind Style: Spinning Shield of Winds!" Speaking in sync the air in front of the six of them began to turn into a large vortex of wind. Blocking Rei's vision of the ninja behind this windshield the ninja continued to pour their chakra into this joint defense. However, it simply caused Rei's eyes to grow dim.

"That won't save you." Pulling back his arm, all of the lightning was condensed onto his palm causing the hallway to go silent for a brief moment. Finally moving his arm forward at a high speed the lightning appeared once again and fired towards its target. Flying forward, the bolt of electricity carved marks in the hallway's walls and roof as it traveled before hitting the windshield, the sound the ninja had created.

Then ninja in the center of the hallway seemed confident until he saw a blue glow appear straight ahead of him. Before he could speak his stomach was pierced straight through as the bolt caused a chain reaction. The windshield did nothing to stop the attack as lightning chained through each ninja killing them almost instantly.

Continuing to fly forward the bolt of lightning only stopped after flying for a couple more meters. Meanwhile lowering his arm Rei didn't have the slightest trace of regret even after seeing their burnt corpses. This destruction was the result of his new body being able to create Reiryoku alone without the help of Ryujin Jakka.

Continuing to walk forward Rei exited the long hallway and entered what seemed to be the central hub of the base. Starting from where he was standing it was a large open cave that was being lit artificially with light. Leading in a spiral was a long metal staircase with the occasional flat platform that allowed access to a door built into the wall.

It was then that an unfamiliar voice entered Rei's ears. "Well, I wasn't expecting this."
