The Final Attack

Despite keeping his overall composure Rei tried his best not to show fatigue. The continues use of Kido had drained him especially after pouring so much Reiryoku into Hokatsu Firudo. This was something his father taught him. If you show you are weak and fragile after a fight you will be repeatedly attacked by the next. But if you remain composed and strong your presence would be enough to turn any enemy away.

It was a simple concept but Rei was proving it worked. Looking up at the boy in front of him Kimimaro couldn't see any signs of weakness on Rei's face. 'Even after fighting me he still looks as if he can continue. I can't let Lord Orochimaru down protecting this place was the order he gave to me.'

Without any warning, the remaining bones protruding from Kimmimaro's body began to return as a strange mark on his chest began to glow. Stunned for a moment Rei began to retreat as he saw the mark began to glow and spread across Kimmimaro's body like snakes. "What is that..." Before he could even ask any questions the ground around Kimmimaro began to crack.

The entire underground chamber shook before the ground finally gave way. Starting for him in the center it looked as if a forest made of bones were beginning to sprout from the ground. Sending rocks and debris from their sudden emergence Rei had to channel all his power to his legs.

Enhancing his senses to the max the moment he saw the slightest sign of a bone he dodged. Doing these dozens of times over Rei's figure was a blur as bounced from right to left dodging every bone protruding from the ground. As he kept backing up he noticed the walls of the underground area were getting closer and closer.

With one last split-second decision, he jumped into the air. Holding Ryujin Jakka in his hand he quickly turned around mid-air and threw it at the wall. As Ryujin Jakka entered the wall a large spike-like bone shot out of the ground exactly below where he was standing.

Timing his movements Rei waited as the bone approached him in mid-air before twisting his body. The bone just barely cut through his pants and his ankle causing him to bleed before he used it as a stepping point. Launching himself off of it he landed on top of Ryujin Jakka using it as a place to stand.

All of this happened within a matter of seconds and caused Rei to push himself to an insane degree. Even if he wanted to pretend like he wasn't tired or weakened his body wouldn't let him. Looking down at the boneyard below him. Slowly the bones returned back into the ground disappearing into the dark holes which they came.

'This guy is really strong. For a moment there he barely looked hum-' Rei's thoughts froze as he spotted something strange. With the sound of something heavy hitting stone, he spotted Kimimaro once again but changed. "What did he do to himself..."

A figure with a long tail protruding out of their back lined with bones similar to a spine was staring directly at Rei. Their yellow and black eyes along with their strange rock-like skin color and large bones protruding from their backs made them look like some kind of a monster. However, Kimimaro's hair made Rei sure it was still him.

"You are indeed very strong for someone your age but you still can't beat me." Seeing Rei standing up above him Kimimaro held out his hand as a weapon of sort's resembling a whip shot out. Seemingly being made of a spine Kimimaro pulled back his hand causing the sound of wind being ripped through to echo throughout the area.

This sound brought Rei back to his senses as he quickly reached down for Ryujin Jakka and removed it from the wall. As he began to fall he quickly launched himself off of the rocky wall dodging Kimimaro's whip. As soon as the bones touched the wall they cracked it immediately. The wall exploded into chunks of rock as Rei landed on the ground below.

'With all those bones covering his body he had to be slower than before.' Relying on his speed Rei attacked before Kimimaro could recall his whip. With his eyes focused on Kimimaro Rei whispered to himself. "Senmaioroshi." Kimimaro's eyes widened slightly as it seemed as if thousands of blades had appeared in Rei's hands.

Cutting his body from every direction Rei's actions could only be considered brief before he had already passed Kimimaro's by. "Your fast." Rei quickly turned around and saw Kimimaro had dozens of cuts covering his body but none of them were deep or even close to being fatal. "Despite your strikes being light if my skin was normal you would have cut me into pieces."

Hearing that Rei saw as Kimimaro's wounds began to heal themselves slowly but still visible to the naked eye. "In this form, my bones are as hard as they can be that along with my healing factor makes me immune to your sword techniques." Bending down low to the ground Kimimaro charged at Rei.

Being slower than before Rei had planned to dodge his charge but the moment he put any pressure on his ankle his body would freeze up due to the wound. 'Dammit!' Having no choice Rei raised Ryujin Jakka in front of him taking Kimimaro's tackle with the blade's blunt side. On impact, Rei felt vibrations travel through his arms and legs.

It was similar to that time Tsunade had punched him except because of his wounds it hurt even more. Being lifted off his feet from the impact alone Rei was sent flying into a wall back first. Feeling the air being knocked out of his lung's he couldn't help but cough up blood as he fell to his knees. 'He's too strong I don't think even Kido would work on him and I'm almost out of Reiryoku.'

It was at that moment that Rei swore he heard a voice. His mind began to fall into an unconscious state as Kimimaro stood a ways away looking at Rei. "It seems this is the end." Holding out his other arm Kimimaro began to form a large drill made of bone. It was as he was doing this that he noticed Rei begin to move.

Though his body was weak his movements were firm as stood up slowly and raised his head. At that moment Rei's eyes were like a raging fire. And when Kimimaro looked into them he saw a boundless inferno that caused him to hesitate. It was only after shaking his head that Imagery disappeared.

"So you're still going to try and fight? Fine." With a slight pause, Kimimaro launched himself toward's Rei running full speed. In response, Rei simply stood there as if he was unconscious. Once inside range Kimimaro thrust his large drill made of bone forward. In that instance, Rei whispered to himself but it was inaudible.

Raising Ryujin Jakka diagonally Rei sliced downwards with an incredible amount of speed. It felt as if the entire underground base was suddenly encompassed in intense heat at Rei and Kimimaro clashed. There was no explosion or the sound of anything colliding all Kimimaro could feel was an intense amount of heat engulfing his arm.

Finally with a thud Kimimaro's left arm fell to the ground as it was engulfed in flames as a cut made of what seemed to be fire cut through the floor of the base all the way to its roof. Seeing all of this Kimimaro's eyes widened in shock before he fell to the ground
