Ch 6: Test, meeting and school

Jee-Han looked at the only skill book remaining and sighed.

[Skill book 'Silent steps' detected. 20 agility requirement not met. Unable to learn.]

He kind of expected this outcome but still tried anyway. Seeing that only one book was inaccessible for now, he was for the most part content.

Picking one of the original books he left for this occasion, a different prompt than he hoped for appeared:

[Skill book 'Basic mana shield' detected. Skill already learned and cannot be learned again unless deleted.]

He thought that he could increase the skill level if he had multiple copies but such an obvious loophole wouldn't do for a reality bending power as complex as his. Storing everything left in the box then the inventory to save space even if it is infinite (AN: OCD rears its ugly head😅) he creates a time dilation field to have more time to himself and hide any fluctuations of mana.

Quickly recovering the mana spent, he activates the shield and starts examining it. With a light blue color, a semi sphere of 2 meters radius could be seen surrounding him. Not feeling satisfied with this basic form, he uses the knowledge that he just recently acquired to temper with it. It would have been quite the task to do so for a magician with the same amount of power and knowledge but the gamer power wasn't considered a cheat for nothing. A few minutes later and nothing could be seen around him.. for the naked eye at least.

[Due to specific action, a new skill has been created! 'Basic Optical illusion' (lv 01~exp 56%)

Allows the user to manipulate the light element to make optical illusions more complex and harder to discern the higher the skill level. Higher perception and/or mana sensitivity has a higher chance to see through the illusions.

Description: an improved version of the basic mana shield made possible thanks to gamer's body skill. Allows the user to have an invisible body outlined rapidly rotating shield that has increased defense and damage mitigation properties.

After that, Jee-Han made the magic circle based on the model in his memories to summon his first ELEMENTAL that will cover for his current shortcomings. Chanting some short verses considering that this is the most basic summoning technique, a faint yellow light slowly converged at center of the circle before forming a small humanoid form of a little girl in yellow scout clothes. Extending his hand to hers and at the slightest connection a bright light flashed before everything but the room's light remained. At that moment, the little ELEMENTAL Gnome as the name instinctively appeared in his mind opened her eyes and started looking around like a toddler finding everything new around him. Finally setting her eyes on his, a bright smile formed "hello yellow!" "Hi there Gnome, glad to meet you" "hehe!" Instantly an unknown attraction that even the system couldn't detect pulled his hand and... started patting her head like no tomorrow. 'Oh my God! Her cuteness is over 9000!' After some more patting, Jee-Han checks his mp then activates the training technique that will take him to new heights, the 'useless' clone technique! Slowly a mana construct formed from his own mana pool while he began feeling weaker, slower and even dumber until a humanoid puppet appeared in front. Gnome was floating around it in curiosity and Jee-Han was sure that if she had a better vocabulary, she would be bombarding him with question after question until the end of time. So after making sure that he shared his senses with the puppet and that most of his stats have been halved, he exits the time field, leaves it in front of the pc with Gnome to study all kinds of subjects and play a game or two in between to not bore down the little spirit and creates a new one but with state of the art training equipment and rows of basic swords stacked neatly for him to choose from..

~4 days later~

"Jee-Han, you're gonna be late for your first day of school if you don't go now!" Feeling the anger and untold punishment if the worst comes to pass, an impeccable Jee-Han that no one could tell was grinding non-stop without getting a wink of sleep came down the stairs. "Hi, mom. Bye mom!" Getting exasperated from his antics and shamelessly wandering from whom he got them 'must be his father's side.. definitely!' Junk-sook waved him off while eating her breakfast. Somewhere out there, a certain father suddenly felt wronged but didn't know why...

Arriving at his school then going to his assigned classroom after a thankfully brief ceremony, without forgetting to spam 'observe', his secret weapon at anything that enters his sight, Jee-Han sits down at the back seat near the window a.k.a the protagonist seat. 'Now to use school time efficiently..' Invisible Z signs appeared above a certain someone that forgot his love for sleep while pulling all nighters...
