Noah stumbled when he read that, 30% was a giant increase. He tried moving his hand in front of his eyes, and he noticed no difference but he felt it from the wind being generated. His eyes had increased their speed as well, in order to keep up with the body.

He felt genuine joy, satisfied at himself for what he had just accomplished. Then his eyes peered to the decision he had to make. He read the explanation for each skill.

Noah jaw dropped when he read Back track, they weren't even comparable. One would give him stronger attack whilst the other could save his life. He easily choose "Back track" and it was opened. He decided to give it a try, he walked three steps forward then thought of it.

He blinked back to his original spot, he gasped, this single skill put his entire arsenal to shame. He decided it was time to travel inwards towards the ruins and find stronger enemies.

He travelled towards the ruins, they were fractured and broken buildings. There were ruins taller than others, with half floors were the would be a full building. There were small walls, bushes and corners everywhere.

It was the ideal spot for a rogue to be and Noah planned to exploit that to its limit. He spotted three skeletons standing beside each other. He ended up following his plan and climbing up a roof. It was a simple roof nothing special by any stretch of the imagination.

When he had climbed to the top, he jumped down onto one on of the skeletons. Backstab had been activated, the skeletons ribcage got completely shattered. Before one of the skeletons could respond he had stabbed its crystal. The third one clumsily swung its sword at him. Twing!

Noah had gone for the parry but he had not expected his sword to break off halfway by doing so. The skeleton sported a bone sword, his sword had faltered to a weak bone sword. It didn't stop him from stabbing his sword into the skeletons crystal killing it on the spot.

He didn't have a backup weapon, he'd have to make due with what he had, and what he had was a broken sword. It wasn't that bad, with the money he'd gained he planned on buying daggers, if anything this would be scuffed practice for him.

He kept on killing small groups of three and sometimes taking four, always with the element of surprise though. He was having a fun time, and unknowingly started moving towards the deeper parts of the ruin.

As he turned a corner, his head bumped in to something, he frighteningly jumped back and held up his dagger. He lowered it when he realised that there was another person in front of him, the person was completely covered in tight cloth, he looked like a ninja.

His eyes were widened staring at Noah with complete shock. It was like a car crash, it was completely shocking and unexpected, the man spun around in the air and delivered a kick towards Noah's head sending him straight into the wall. Noah passed out.

...

Ferro's brows tightened, he'd waited thirty minutes longer than he was supposed to. His teammates were telling him it was time to go but he refused to. He wanted to go searching for Noah but that would be too risky. When it turned night stronger skeletons would come out, they tried to ambush the people.

He looked up towards the sky, then towards the ruins, then at the sky again. He made a prayer for Noah, not because he liked him but because he respected him.

One of the few people who could make him be serious in a fight had died in a dumpster like this, "No way" he thought. But time seemed to tell him otherwise, there was no Noah in his sight. Abruptly, he jerked his head and walked away, he was in a foul mood.

Then he stopped, "You know what. I am waiting.", Ferro said. His statement was followed by grunts and complaints, the rest of his party didn't want to spend another hour here. They were all exhuasted and wanted to get their reward and some food.

At the same time they wanted to show their loyalty to Ferro, his decisions were sometimes strange but his skill was the real deal. After joining his party quests had became easier and they gained more coin then ever before.

So it was decided, they would wait.

Bump. Bump. Bump.

Noah eyes opened a scratch and with his blurry vision he looked around, everything was upside down. It took him a while before he realised he was upside down, in panic he tried to move his limbs but he realised they had been tied up.

His eye saw pitch black, but there was a faint red light shining from in front of him. Then he looked back and saw multiple red lights. The clues came together in his mind and he realised he was being carried by skeletons.

They were carrying him on a stick, with his limbs tied to the stick. They had not realised that he had woken up, he glanced at the skeletons around him, they wore a complete set of armour and looked more intelligent then what he was used to. In the forefront, he saw an incredibly well dressed skeleton with a cape, he assumed it to be their leader.

He looked around, ruins everywhere to be seen. He could not see the forest anywhere in sight, he saw multiple archers standing on the ruins looking over the landscape. He had gotten really deep into the ruins.

He didn't know what they were planning but he had a bad gut feeling about it. He had one ability which would help him escape this and he wished that it worked. "Backtrack" he whispered.
