18. Nightmare

The officer takes the money by smiling sheepishly and takes them to the security room. He sees his boys are professionals. So they managed to not be captured by CCTV as CCTV cameras moved from right to left. In the footage, Sam is there in two long shots. So they blur him easily.

He looks for Emma and recognizes Gammon and Emma on one of the footage clips by their dress. But their faces are not visible since they are hiding by sitting behind the car. Sam feels frustrated when he can't see Gammon's face and goes away.

By remembering everything chief security thinks, ' am I messaging with big shots? Why am I loathed for a few bucks? God! Save me this time. I will never cheat on my job.'

Emma is still in a daze by contemplating what happened now? Is Mr. What a grim reaper? Am I going to die in his hand? God, I don't want to die now. Please, please, God! Don't ever show that grim reaper face to me ever again." She regains her strength and puts her cap back. She covers her mouth with a mask. She starts walking.

When she sees a few old people in the market area, she shows them by showing a 30 years ago old photo which is ruined by time. She asks them ''Do you know the location of this building?"

Most of them say they don't know. Few are saying that the building may be an old school near the old city. Some are saying an old bank at another place. Different people said different places. Emma notes each place in her Tab.

She thinks, 'I don't know any of these places. I have to visit each place by googling. It might take 10 days to search since 50 people said 10 different places'. She is in a dilemma whether she can search for all the places on her own? or should she ask help from Chingu?"

Then she remembers Gammon's phone. She immediately searches her pockets. She realized this is a different dress. So, she returned to the hotel. She checks her previous day's outfit pockets and then only she realizes that she lost the phone. She says, "Oh God! I don't know anyone here. The person I know is Chingu. But I lost his phone. How can I meet him again?"

When Sophia sees Emma's pale face, she asks what happened?

Emma snaps out of her thoughts and says, I lost someone's phone. That person may be cursing me now?"

"Emma! You are becoming more careless day by day, I am afraid to leave you here alone?", Said Sophia worriedly.

Jack comes between them and says with an assurance tone, "Sophia! Don't worry about Emma. We are not leaving her alone. I can give assurance that Khun Da takes good care of Emma."

To change the topic, Emma says I am feeling hungry. Let's order our dinner.

Jack orders dinner. After dinner arrives they eat by talking about how much they are missing New York food.

The Room they have taken is double. After finishing the dinner Emma goes to her room. He falls on the bed and the sleep knocks her instantly as she is tired.

A building is set ablaze. A person in the fire is saying, "Emma! Runaway my child...just run away with your mother." Emma is six years old and can't run fast so her mother carries her and runs without looking back.

Emma is crying out, "Mom! Please put me down. That is our house. My toys are there!" and she tries to get down from her mother's hold.

Her mother is crying and says, "Emma our life is in danger. Don't wiggle my child. We have to go away from here as soon as possible."

Emma hears someone is calling from the fire, "Emma! Emma! Emma!

Her eyes are glued to the blazing building and she hears her name continuously until they turn to the next road.

Emma's body is shivering by seeing those flames and an unknown voice calling her. Her body is full of sweat. She suddenly wakes up by shouting, 'please save that person'. She looks at herself, she is bathed in sweat.

Hearing her shouts, Sophia and Jack comes to her room. They switch on the light. Sophia hugs her by saying, "Please calm down Emma! It is just a nightmare. Look I am here."
