The Final Training Battle

Ichigo-

"So what do you think we should do Akashi?" The Bakugo kid I had paired up with asked me.

"Not sure." I sighed. "Just keep them away." I shifted a bit on top of the fake bomb we were protecting. "If they get to me, light the feathers on fire."

"What feathers?"

"These ones." I sent about a dozen of my feathers over to him. "Light them, and throw them at the others."

"Alright. But are you sure this is safe?"

"Yes. I can control them even as they burn. It'll hurt me a bit, but I'll be fine."

"Alright." The other nodded and left, my bright blue feathers sticking out of his pocket.

At some point, about ten minutes after he left, the alien-looking girl ran in with a blob of some weird liquid floating next to her. "Aw yeah! No one's guarding it!" She yelled. I had hidden myself in the shadows, and waited. Kita Bakugo ran in, out of breathe, and lit my feathers on fire, as I had instructed him.

I stepped forward, jumping down off the ceiling bar I was perched on, and landed in front of our 'weapon.' "You're not getting past me." I declared, sending my feathers to pin the girl against the wall. "What's this?" I dragged my hand through the blob of liquid, and stepped back. In an instant, it turned into a human, that kid that had purple hair with yellow tips. "I see."

"That weapon's mine!"

"Nope." I sent him against the wall as well, using my feathers once more.

"We win!" Kita said breathlessly.

"Mhm." I nodded, retrieving my feathers and blowing out the flames. "Good job controlling so many flames at a time Kita. You've improved."

"Thanks Ichigo!" He smiled and I snorted.

"Whatever." I allowed the feather to re-place themselves in my wings, since Kita had made sure they weren't even singed.

Ayako-

"Alright, so, who did the best in this battle?" Toshinori asked us.

"I know!" My hand shot up and he nodded. "It was definitely Ichi, who had managed to keep the hero team from the weapon, while also not hurting them. He used those flaming feather well, and he easily defeated them, while also being villainous."

"Exactly! And the hero team's strategy had some merit too." Kita Bakugo said with a smile. "Their plan was to tire me out, and then get the weapon. They figured since I was the more powerful of the two of us, that his defence wouldn't do much for them. So they went after me, and ignored him, which wasn't the best idea in hindsight."

"These are all good points." Toshinori smiled.

After this battle, we went home, and I talked with my parents.

"So how was today?" My Dad asked with a smile.

"Great! We got to battle each other today!"

"Who were you up against?"

"Imi and a Quirkless girl. I was working with a strong guy, who had a double Quirk!"

"Really?"

"Yep! It was fire and ice! Really cool, see?" I lit myself on fire and used the ice as well with a smile.

"It is!" Mom grinned. "Now, stop using your new Quirk and come eat."

"Alright!" I smiled and sat at the table, eating. "Thanks for the food!"

"Well, you had your first battle training in school today, so I had to give you something good. How'd your costume turn out?"

"Well, it was a tad tight, and the skirt was kind of short. But otherwise, perfect."

"Oh and Ayako?" Dad said. "You should change. You incinerated your uniform top."

"Crap!" I quickly covered my chest, my face turning red. "I'll be back!" I ran up to my room and changed, pulling on a t-shirt and jeans. I heard a knock on the door downstairs, and my mother talking to someone.

When I came downstairs, I saw Imi and Ichigo there, sitting at the table. "Hey Ko-chan!" Imi called, waving.

"Imi! Why're you here?"

"Ichi got kicked out of the house again."

"What'd he do this time?"

"Broke half the windows and all the mirrors."

"It wasn't my fault you scared me! You know what happens when you surprise me like that!"

"Yeah, well, it's not my fault you squeak like a little girl when you get surprised."

"Well- I-" Ichi's face went red and he stopped talking. "I- Ugh. Screw you Imi."

"But that's the truth!"

"Shut up!" I giggled a bit, sitting down again. "What's so funny Ko?"

"Nothing." I smiled innocently. "But, why don't you stay with us for a while? At least until your parents calm down."

"Thanks. You're a lifesaver Ko."

"Anytime." I gave him a huge smile and finished my food. "Whenever you finish, come on up to my room. You still remember where it is right?"

"'Course I do." He smiled at me. "Thanks again."

I didn't say anything, just smiled again and headed up to my room, sitting on my bed. "If you don't mind sleeping on the floor, you can sleep in here. I don't care."

"Thank you so much Ko."

"As I said before, anytime. Why wouldn't I help a friend in need?"

"I don't know. I'm still grateful though."

"Well," I glanced outside, noticing it had gotten dark. "Goodnight Ichi."

"Night Ko."
