CHPT 166: The Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing.

"Samuel....Hey! I asked a question. Where is your brother and the other one...what's his name?— Claude! Where are they?" Dolion repeated, any bit of patience slowly beginning to leave his voice.

Samuel was so confused he still couldn't speak. Too confused, battered, in pain and scared, everything in his mind was hazy and jumbled.

"...What?...wasn't it all a dream.....a nightmare?" Samuel mumbled as he realized Dolion— who was a monster, was asking about his brother and Claude— two people who also changed into monsters on the night of the Full Moon.

Slowly, he began putting the very obvious pieces together in his mind. Every connection that supported the very terrible conclusion he was coming to was making him incredibly sick.

Every random time when he could hear things happening on the other side of the University from his room, or random bursts of speed and strength that he attributed to himself becoming stronger on his own accord, even the times when he noticed his brother's increased aggravation and random times when he'd start sniffing the air like an animal. It all pointed to one terrible conclusion.

"Ok. Get him up." Dolion said before inhaling angrily and running his hand through his braid again. Only now his hand shook slightly, causing the others to watch him warily.

The giant dark skinned man with twisted hair and Jack moved in towards Samuel.

"Don't be scared, kiddo.....Actually be a little scared. It brings a pleasant smell. Hehehe." Jack said with a big rotten smile while he approached Samuel who sat in shock.

"Ugh. You smell as bad as your teeth look." The dark skinned man commented before reaching out with Jack to pick up Samuel by his arms.

"Hey! Get the hell off me!....He—Ugh!" Samuel protested loudly after the two animalistic men lifted him with ease.

He was ready to keep thrashing and yelling when suddenly Dolion's eyes burst to life like shining yellow beacons that pierced into his soul with their intensity.

"rrGRrr...." Dolion growled silently while he continued to look at Samuel.

He immediately felt himself shrink as his eyes lowered to the floor, he could feel that everyone else in the area did the same in response to the man's simple but effective vocalization of rising anger.

"Now that that's out of the way." He said with a clap of his hands, "Let's make sure your on the same page as us."

Dolion suddenly lunged at Samuel as the two men held him just above the ground.

Woo!

He moved so fast that Samuel didn't even have time to react. One second he was standing a few feet away while he rubbed his hands together speaking, then a flash of wind brushed past him and he was suddenly looking into the intimidating eyes of the Alpha.

He couldn't help but follow the intense urge not to look the man in the eyes, so he settled with looking away and focusing his eyes on Jack's unappealing bald spot.

"No. No, you look at me." Dolion said as he grabbed Samuel's chin.

Samuel pulled away from his grip causing the two to begin struggling against each other for another ten seconds before Dolion lost his patience.

"LOOK AT ME DAMMIT!" He roared in a voice shrouded in anger and deepened by his other side creeping to the surface.

Samuel suddenly lost complete control of himself in response to the man's changed voice. Instantly, he turned his head and found himself looking at Dolion's face— made incredibly ugly by his continuously rising anger.

A thin film of ferocious yellow was laid over his eyes and black fur was slowly sprouting from his face— forming a menacing windows peak on his forehead.

"Allow me to clear the air even though I know you know what this is. YOUR ONE OF US!" He said, finishing the statement in a roar that caused him to change further as if he didn't have any control over it.

Randomly, one of his eyes grew and bulged out of his face grotesquely while his jaws thickened and the sound of bones cracking erupted from inside of him.

"What the...." Samuel mumbled in fear.

Dolion quickly turned away and began taking deep breaths while he violently started running his hand through the long braid trailing down his muscular back until individual black strands were ripped from his scalp.

"You'll have to forgive our Alpha. He doesn't have a great handle on his anger— which is directly connected to triggering his transformation." The African accented man said casually through glowing blue eyes.

Before Samuel could reply to the oddity of it all, Dolion was back to normal.

"You're one of us, do you understand? I gave you, your brother and Claude The Gift of Remus. Now why were you the only one to return? He suddenly asked as if nothing happened.

"You.....you changed me...when you bit me." Samuel realized.

"Now you're getting it." Dolion said with the beginnings of an evil smile making its way to his handsome face. It immediately vanished as he noticed Samuel's eyes begin to glow a savage shade of purple.

"You stupid fucks!" Samuel spat angrily as the reality of the situation started to hit him. "Don't any of you know who my father is? Huh?!"

While he spoke, he looked around at them with a smug grin on his angered face.

Despite his situation. It didn't matter who took him, his father was one of the strongest men in New Gloria. He was sure that they didn't know who they were dealing with.

Dolion and the rest of the pack began to smile manically, failing to hide their giddy laughter and rising excitement.

Woo!

Dolion's hand moved at speeds untraceable by human eyes and clamped down around Samuel's neck, lifting him higher off the ground and yanking him out of the arms of Jack and the 7ft tall behemoth.

He held him in the air above him, showing the wildest smile as if he was in on a sick joke that Samuel had no idea of.

"Samuel. Of course I know your father...and your mother, and your sister. Why do you think I changed you? Now, you either tell me where the other two that I changed are, or I get the answers from you another way. A way with less talking.....and more fighting...." As soon as he said fighting, the rest of the pack snarled loudly, looking more animal than they already did.

"....."

"What'll it be, pretty boy? I'm fine with either option, but some of the others haven't hunted in days— they may be a little more rough around the edges than usual.....are you ready to deal with that? Or will you speak while I allow you to wear your human skin?" Dolion asked as his eyes took on a malicious glint in the dark forest clearing.

Samuel was silent on the outside, only able to cough and grunt through Dolion's crushing grip around his throat, but his mind was running at full speed. "Why would he turn me into this, knowing who my father is? What does that mean? What does he mean by letting me wear my human skin? What is happening!!!"

Slowly, the fear, sadness, anxiety and confusion mixed and grew into intense anger. Who were they to do this? A lousy band of monsters thinking they could pass their infection and take someone destined to be the greatest? Thinking they could take him with no consequences? Samuel couldn't believe it. It pissed him off like nothing ever had before.

His eyes suddenly flared brighter than before and his teeth sharpened into deadly fangs. Moving as fast as he could, he grabbed onto Dolion's incredibly dense forearm that held him tightly by the throat while he growled silently.

"Hm. Finally ready to talk?" Dolion asked smugly.

"Yea....." Samuel forced out in response.

"Well get on with it, this better be good."

"...When my father comes, he's gonna kick your ass." Samuel said angrily before his hands that were clasped around Dolion's arm ignited with purple flames.

FWOOOSH!!

"AARP!"

"RAGH!"

"OH!....huhuhehehhahahHAHA!"

Dolion yelped and dropped him while the rest of the pack jumped away, snarling and trotting around Samuel like Wolves warily circling a wounded predator.

As soon as he landed in the lush long grass, he sent a steady stream of purple flames around him in a circle, forming a barrier for himself.

FwoooOooSH!

The rest of the pack jumped back snarling and shielding their sensitive eyes.

"Yea you like that? You dirty lowlifes! You have no idea who your messing with you hear me!? NO IDEA!" Samuel yelled as his hands became cloaked in purple flames that he quickly threw at the first monster in human skin that his eyes fell on.

Fwoo!

Woo!

"Hahhha! Cool gimmick, kiddo! I would say try again next time.....but there won't be one. HAHAHAH!!" Jack replied maniacally after dodging Samuel's attack.

Before he could question what the psychotic Lupine meant by there not being a next time, someone spoke from behind him.

Somehow, someone get into his barrier without being seen or heard.

"Your pride may end up being your downfall. Don't worry though, we'll get rid of that in time." Dolion said from behind him before closing his large hands around Samuel's elbows and tossing him into the air like he weighed next to nothing.

As he flipped and twisted through the air across the clearing, it was beginning to become abundantly clear that Dolion's physical stats were leagues ahead of his. Leagues ahead of anything he'd ever seen. It's like the man wasn't even moving, he'd just appear in new locations. How fast could he be to do that?

After being airborne for another handful of loud painful seconds, he hit the ground hard, rolling and tearing up the grass for another ten feet.

"RRRAAOOORRGGH!!" A loud and chaotic throaty roar resonated across the clearing like rolling thunder.

Samuel felt the vocalization of pure dominance rumbled across the earth and over his skin, causing it to feel like it he'd been engulfed in flames.

For a second he thought he was due to the wispy spirals of steam radiating from his shoulders and legs, then he remembered the nightmare— the memory.

He was changing. Dolion was able to force him to change somehow with just a roar.

The rest of the pack had the same reaction and fell to one knee as the transformation freely took hold of them.

Glowing balls of steam stood out in the darkness as they all shifted under the pale waxing moon. Accompanied by the sounds of humanoid grunts turning to growls and muscular fur covered arms emerging from the clouds they created.

Some shifted at incredible speeds, emerging from the steam as if nothing happened while others came out with partially shifted arms and legs. The one thing they shared was that they all looked horrifying.

"Samuel, WHAT DO YOU THINK THIS IS? I run this show.....IM THE ALPHA! When I say change, YOU DO IT! And when I want information, YOU WILL GIVE IT! One way or another....." Dolion roared as he stomped over to Samuel who felt like he was dying a thousand times over.

Slowly, as the leader approached, Samuel watched the man's fully transformed subordinates begin to join him. Stalking behind in their leaders wake on all fours with their ears pinned back against their hulking heads and razor sharp teeth bared.

Jack walked on two legs like a human despite looking like anything but that while he continued to laugh, now coming out as a deep and throaty chortle.

"What the hell is this?.....this can't be real. I'm in hell." Samuel thought while his bones shifted and fur sprouted from his burning skin.

For a moment he lost consciousness due to the pain, causing him to wake up confused and fully transformed. He looked up and saw Dolion and the rest of his monsters waiting for him silently. They looked absolutely terrifying in the dark clearing. Like a pack of hellhounds being led by the king of hell itself. Dolion, who somehow looked the worst despite not transforming.

"What an impressive Lupine form...." Dolion said, expelling intoxicating scents of jealousy and anger.

Samuel snarled and began stepping away from them. They immediately moved with him, eyes widened like saucers— similar to the way a hunting dog acts after seeing a squirrel.

"You can try to run all you want, but we'll catch you. You can even try to hide, but of course, we'll find you. And we can do this for as long as you refuse to tell me where my other Lupines are— we've got time little one. More time than you can imagine in here to beat the answers out of you and make you submit. And trust me, we will. I will make you one of us....and your father won't save you." He said while he cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders.

Jack silently dropped to all fours while the other Lupines snarled at Samuel and spread out, forming an inescapable circle around him.

He snarled and swatted at them with his hackles raised and teeth bared— he was moving purely on instinct. No longer thinking about the unfortunate circumstances, or retaining his pride— not even thinking about being saved. Only survival.

"Oh yes. I forgot to tell you." Dolion said before steam erupted from his face and body.

His sentence was interrupted by words turning into animalistic snarls and psychotic screaming laughter.

A few seconds passed before he waved away the cloud of steam surrounding him, revealing his hideous form to Samuel.

All the Lupines whined and shivered in response to Dolion's disgusting Lupine form as he stepped closer.

Samuel was speechless, too scared to move, too scared to fight. All he could do was stare at the horrendous 7ft monster while it spoke.

His voice was no longer deep and smooth. Now it was forever crackling like his throat was lined with fire while also being unnaturally deep to the point that he was hard to understand.

"YoU.....HeEhehe....You BettEr movE KiD..." He forced out when a Lupine behind Samuel suddenly lunged in and slashed at his back.

Swip!

"ARGH!"

Samuel spun around and snapped his fangs at the fleeting female Lupine who he somehow knew was Aiko. She seemed just as blindingly fast on all fours as Dolion.

When he turned back around to face what he assumed was the biggest threat, the unsightly monster was settling into its unnatural stance on all fours like the rest of them. Dolion's bulging right eye watched the scared young Lupine with malicious excitement.

In that moment he realized something. He wasn't being given a chance to fight. This wasn't going to simply be an unfair battle. Not with their combined speed, power and comfort in their forms. This was going to be torture. Absolute torture.

And this assumed Deviant that Dolion had control over was going to be his very own personal hell.

SwSh!

Another cut delivered to his arm, deeper than before.

He spun around snarling before turning back to Dolion angrily. All the horrendous monster did was laugh silently before speaking one final time.

"Us LupiNes....DoN't fiGHt....faIR...Rrr. YoU'LL leaRN ThaT SoOn ENOUGH!"
