My Canary

The earth is round,

It is easy to go around.

Now leave the ground,

Let the world hear your sound.

The sky is blue,

With no hint or clue.

The clouds it blew,

As if stuck with glue.

Look at the trees,

Until I count three.

I will set you free,

The world ahead you get to see.

The more you try,

The higher you fly.

Don't you cry,

I am just a lie.

I saw you,

Flap, flap, flap.

While I stood there to,

Clap, clap, clap.

I remember the day,

When I was on my way.

Under the tree you lay,

In hurt and pain on the clay.

Felling remorse and sad,

You looked so bad.

I took you to my dad,

As his little lad.

The cotton band,

in the colour of sand.

Like a magical wand,

Brought you back to land.

You ate with your beak,

And were no more weak.

Within a week,

You flew to the peak.

Isn't it too fast?

Things don't last.

All seems like a past,

You still have to see the vast.

Don't you come back,

Stay on your track.

See not the things black,

Just the World you hack.

No more tears,

O! my little dear.

In my heart I hear,

You flying with no fear.
