High School Years

My life had a turning point,

Just because of a road joint.

Dreams of my parents very high,

Won't be a wonder if I fly?

On the other hand clutched my dream,

Of which dreamt like chocolate and cream.

Mom always wanted the best of all,

Dad made sure it was a future strong call.

No one asked how my future was to be made,

All my aspirations had to simply fade.

Traced the path shown by my parents,

Leaving the dream which was never to be meant.

Day and night passed in time,

Hope a life had something to rhyme.

Gave my best in everything,

What I gained was nothing.

Defeated in the game of life,

Chosen not that path I liked.

Grades and marks can't judge a human,

Life is about how happiness is summoned.

Those who saw me in sorrow,

Knew cries and tears can't be a borrow.

Depression was right into me,

A fake smile said none to see.

Just wanted my parents to have pride,

And prove their child will never fall aside.

Life is about doing what we love,

But not as easy as to bring it above.

Everything in this world has its end,

While my life needed to be mend

All I did was run back to my aim,

And was on fire like a burning flame.

Those rhythmic beats in my heart,

Was nothing less than a beautiful art.

Happiness was in the air,

And now life seemed to be fair.

Revealing the secret to the world,

That the sea has shining pearls.

Dance, Art and the songs you sang,

Show the world whatever you can.

I will never forget to be me,

And that is what I will always be.

The positive vibes which I got,

Will never have its fullstop dot.
