Why Should I Love Myself?

I walk with a stick,

To not stumble over a brick.

Why should I love myself?

When I always need someone's help.

Can't reach the door's latch,

Not a bride with a good match.

Why should I love myself?

When the world sees me as an elf.

Infinite stories in my mind,

Who wants to hear from a blind?

Why should I love myself?

When all me tales lie in a shelf.

Harsh words and comments I hear,

Inappropriate touches I fear,

Why should I love myself?

When I can't protect and just yelp.

Shall I suicide with a knife?

And end this miserable life?

Why? Because I am in a world of lies,

Loving myself made me lot more wise.

Like a soldier I stand,

Fighting everyday demands.

One life is all I have got,

Not a thing from store to be brought.

Why should I love myself?

Never is a question to self.

Reasons and lists ain't required,

Beauty in my soul is all I find.
