February 14, 2021: Recollection

As if she was being pulled out of the water, preventing her from drowning, Syn opened her eyes to a tainted darkness. Her chest was rising and falling hastily as she tried to get a grasp of what had just happened. Thousands of beads of sweat had soaked her face and hair, and that goes the same for her pillow and blanket. The lady touched her head when a dull pain began to make itself known. She shut her eyes once more and hoped for relief to come to her.

Syn was in a state of disorientation that disallowed her from organizing her thoughts. Her mind was continuously showing her scenes that she should have no recollection of. If anything, it seemed to her that the memories were of another person's. It was such a bizarre occurrence that she had no words to describe her circumstance.
