This is a story about an open-relationship between an unwilling prostitute and a married man. 


He was in an open marriage, but she's not the wife. To be one of the many partners of a man committed to another woman was her role. 


She wanted to hide her feelings that were starting to grow, her longing to be by his side, and lastly herself, by virtue of an open relationship. 


However, it was all for naught. When everything came to light, she desired to end the relationship they had. Her last words echoed through his mind as she bid him farewell through her mournful eyes. 


"If only I hadn't met you, I wouldn't be hurting this badly."

A Rich Man's Lover

For the rest of their trip, the couple talked about matters such as their view on certain issues, the state of Syn's university career, Konrad's duties as a chairman, and some other trivial things. It was a conversation that marked the true beginning of their relationship.

Admittedly, their past encounters had been nothing but an entire rollercoaster ride. While on the subject, it was also a chaotic one. A lot of instances were much too coincidental for them to be brushed aside as unplanned. Well, that wasn't far from the truth.

The first half of Konrad and Syn's meeting was, in a way, organized by the frolicsome fate itself. It could also be argued that Tristan played an important role for the couple to get together. Although unfair for Tristan, he was the first to bring up the offer of letting the two meet. Syn had yet to acknowledge that fact, but leaving him was a decision she had arrived at without putting Konrad in the picture.
