Blur

The days that followed was a complete blur as Shia and Max tried to regain their composure while they blankly walked through life.

"Who is going to take charge of the body?" Alex has asked as soon as they have announced Kaia's death.

The two could not believe it even after seeing her lifeless body, laying there. No matter what the heart monitor said or what the doctors, or even what anyone else said, they couldn't believe it.

"Kaia couldn't be dead," Shia said expression blank.

Max had not spoken since they have announced her death and is just blankly staring at the wall, sometimes window.

"She just can't be," Shia said, frowning. "There is no way she is."

"Is there no adult that you can call?" One of the doctors asked Alex. "Why are kids having to make the decision of what to do with their friend's body?"

Alex looked at them apologetically, "I think it is best we call your parents."
