"Oh, you drink blood too?" A somewhat sweet voice woke Joaquin up, even though its pitch was very low it was calming and intoxicating.
When he opened his eyes he saw Miss Lin's back and he felt something flow into his mouth. His eyes widened and his heart thumped faster, not knowing what to do he decided to lose some extra weight first. He tossed the dead body to the side and wiped some liquid off his face and he brought his wrist up to his face to check it out.
It was indeed blood and he wasn't as dead as he thought he would be at this second. That is when he remembered what caught him off guard at the dumpster. There was a huge graffiti on the wall made of what looked like blood. Despite its terrifying entry and presentation, it had nothing much to say other than three phrases.
[An adventure lies behind a blood bath.]

Joaquin tilted his head up and decided to take his first calm breath since his wake. He saw a familiar face, the owner of the same graceful voice he heard earlier. Even though his looks matched his voice in a perfectly monstrous way, his behavior had lots of room for improvement.
"For a second there I could have sworn that you were dead. You had no pulse and all." The weird man stood up straight and exposed the moon from behind him, blinding Joaquin. "BUT, through the power of our bond and undeniable love as teacher and student, I was able to resurrect you with a glorious kiss." He passionately shook from side to side his waist while keeping his hands locked in a prayer position as he talked with a much higher pitch.
Joaquin jumped to the side and shielded himself from his language teacher before realising that he was obviously lying. "I am not surprised that you can't even show respect to the dead." Joaquin grunted.
"Some of my relatives are walking corpses how dare you say I don't have respect for the dead." The tall man jumped to his knees and placed the back of his hand on his forehead and the other on his heart. After the dramatic display he opened an eye to check for Joaquin's reaction.
He was met with a cold glare with a pinch of bloodlust in it.
"You're no fun you know. A normal child would have at least been embarrassed. But alas, the bleached really are a different breed. To think I even dirtied my prized suit for that marvellous act." The teacher said as he got up and dusted himself.
"That's weird. You've never called me that before."
"Well you should get used to it because from now on it is going to be your second name."
"Third, couple that with all the other names you have given me and forgot it will make for 356."
"As expected of my star student. You remembered."
"You don't know how much I wish I didn't."
"Is that so?" He finally gave Joaquin his back and in front of him were three of the school guards. They seemed to be picking up the assassins whom Joaquin thought would be incinerated.
"Why weren't you guys here earlier?" Joaquin said as he slowly walked up to his teacher's side.
Ren looked down on the boy and appeared to whisper something before clearing his throat.
"Earlier, the guards came to me to report an explosion in the science buildings. They said that there were dead bodies and trails blood all over the place but no signs of life anywhere. I came here as soon as I heard their report but could only wait until that last bomb to see you guys.
"Normally when faced with assassins one would think they practice binary customs for oneness and the mastering of killing abilities to the max. But these guys here all had different binary types and no sign of community in it. Even if they are that powerful, this school is heavily guarded and it would take an army to breach the defence…" He giggled.
"Oh my where are my manners? I've called the sentinels over and they will be investigating the issue along with our head of security so please try to be…"
"MR VLAD LOOK OUT!" One of the guards accompanying the teacher screamed. When their gazes shifted from one another to the front, Joaquin and Vlad saw the assassins rushing towards them.
Vlad placed his hand on Joaquin's chest and pushed him back a little. All three assassins impaled Vlad and directed their attention to Joaquin.
"Oh my, I am fairly disappointed. After all those tricks you pulled, I find it hard to believe that you're actually this weak." Vlad said with a light chuckle.
"Lord have mercy." Said one of the guard.
The air around Vlad grew redder and redder, it had the smell of blood, and it wasn't revolting though. In fact it was almost like a spell cast to lure in prey. The assassins quickly retracted their swords and cut his head off.
"I wasn't supposed to kill you, but I am sure the vice headmaster will understand." The Vlad head said as it rolled away from the body, it was then the assassins realised who they were trifling with. The teachers in this school have interesting reputations and Vlad's reputation was rather, grim. "You soiled my suit." He concluded his statement.
The assassins back away from the teacher and tried to make their exit, they ran up the walls and Joaquin just shook his head.
"DON'T DO IT."
"THEY ARE OUR ONLY WITNESSES!" the guards screamed at the teacher.
"Bloody Mary." Vlad said with a grin on his still rolling head.
The assassins exploded in a pool of blood. But instead of it splashing everywhere, it was sucked into his body. Every last drop, the assassins' clothes had no trace of it whatsoever.
Vlad's head reattached itself to his body and he rubbed his neck a little. "It didn't even tickle, what a shame."
"So you really are a vampire?" Joaquin asked.
Vlad looked at him and smiled. "I wonder," he burst out laughing. At the same time the sentinels had arrived at the scene and they gave the blood thirsty teacher a stern talking to.
"Are you okay?" asked a female officer pinching and harassing Joaquin's face.
"I am fine," he struggled to push her away. 'Why is she strong?'
After successfully evading her they were able to exchange their greetings and converse with one another.
"Well, you have nothing to worry about. Since there is no way you could've hired assassins and snuck them into the school, let alone the city, the sentinels will probably let you walk free."
"Why are you wearing shades in the dark?"
"Aren't you at least worried about…"
"Why are you wearing shades at night?"
She pouted and looked elsewhere, "it's embarrassing to say."
"Stay like that." Joaquin turned to walk away but the female officer grabbed him by his wrist and suddenly her face changed, from behind her glasses glowed a red light in the shape of pupils.
She let go of his arm and he fell to the ground, everything around him greyed and halted. The lady began to talk. "Life or death, thee choice is yours."
Joaquin innately knew that it wasn't her talking, he hypothesised that it had something to do with the wall. Apart from the adventure phrase he did not remember the other two which left him feeling naked.
