chapter five ; The sick Serena
The new term Commenced about A month later And students Resumed Back to school.
Sophia and Serena who studied Through out the Holiday were well Prepared for the New term and the Task Ahead of them.
As the term progressed Sophia and Serena's friendship also improved making them the envy of other students.
One morning Serena woke up feeling sick she was running a very high temperature and she had a severe head ache Sophia woke up to find Serena looking pale.
Sophia Immediately stood up from her Bed and Walked up to Serena's.
" Good Morning Serena " Sophia greeted.
" Good ... Morning ... Sophia Serena Answered Stuttering a little.
" What's wrong With you Serena look pale , And why are you Stuttering? " Sophia asked worriedly.
" Oh! I didn't Realize that I was Stuttering, Well am feeling a little sick today I think I've got a fever " Serena said.
" Oh! that explains why, wait a Sec let me go get the house mistress " Sophia Said
Few minutes later Sophia arrived with Mrs Smith the house mistress .
" Good Morning SerenaHow are you feeling? " She asked.
" Good Morning Mrs, Am not feeling very well today " Serena answered.
" oh! can you please freshen up and come to my office later so I will take you to the school clinic? " Mrs Smith asked.
" Okay Miss I'll " Serena Replied.
" I don't think that I will make it to school today Sophia " Serena informed Sophia after Miss Smith left.
" you don't have to worry about that just try to get well soon, go freshen up so I will accompany you to school clinic before I leave for school " Sophia said
When Serena went to take her bathe Angel woke up
" Good morning Sophia what's wrong with Serena? " Angel asked Yawning.
" Well, She's not feeling too well and would not be able to make it to school today " Sophia answered.
" oh! have you informed miss Smith? Angel asked .
" Yes I have she told Serena to freshen up after which she would be taken to the clinic " Sophia replied to which Angel Nodded.
Just then Serena came out from the bathroom with an Orange Bath Robe Wrapped Around her body.
" how are you feeling now Seren? " Sophia asked Concerned.
" Am feeling a bit Better " Serena answered.
" Well that's good to hear, if you are not going to school today then you will miss today's lessons and notes and that will be workload for you later " Angel Said.
" You don't have to worry about that Serena as I will help you with the notes and explain it to you when you are better " Sophia Assured.
" Oh! Thanks Bestie I really appreciate " Serena said a little Emotional as she embraced Sophia.
" let me go freshen up First Sophia then you will after " Angel said
" Alright You can " Sophia answered.
After the trio got ready they took Serena to Miss Smith who later took her to the clinic .
After which Sophia and Angel headed to the park to board the school bus. on getting there the place was crowded with students as the bus had not arrived they then sat under a mango tree while awaiting the school bus.
" I wonder why the bus is late nowadays " Angel said
" Same here, perhaps the driver sleeps late " Sophia answered
Minutes later the school bus arrived and the students boarded it including Sophia and Angel.
After school that day Sophia bought fruits for Serena From the fruits store before leaving for the boarding house .
when they got back they found Serena sleeping soundly and they decided not to wake her up so they dropped their bags and freshen up and did their assignments in the meantime.
An hour later Serena woke up
" Good day girls why didn't you wake me up? " Serena asked.
" Good day to you too Serena we didn't wake you up because we wanted you to have enough rest " Sophia Explained
" hmmmmn.. how are you feeling now Serena? " Angel asked
" I am feeling better than before after taking the pills the nurse gave me and having enough rest " Serena replied Smiling.
" oh! that's good to hear " Sophia Replied Releived.
" That reminds me, how was school today? did the science teacher teach today Sophia.? " Serena asked
"School was fine " Angel Replied
" Nope, the science teacher was not in school today we were told that she was not feeling well. it was only the Civic and maths teacher that were present today Sophia Added.
" oh! She might be Pregnant, Anyways which topic did the maths teacher treat today? Serena asked.
" Well it was logarithms which we already practised during The Holidays " Sophia answered
" yes, you are right " Serena said
" that reminds me, I got some fruits for you from the fruit store " Sophia said
" thanks so much I really appreciate " Serena replied Sincerely.
" Serena every one in school asked about you even the maths teacher was worried " Sophia suddenly said.
oh! I didn't know that I was that Popular, Anyways that's good " Serena replied Smiling Brightly.
" yes, And you don't need to worry about missing class today as I have copied all your notes for today I will explain later " Sophia said.
" thanks a MillionSophia you are the best " Serena Exclaimed.
" My pleasure always " Sophia Replied.
