He smiled sadly and shook his head "It's the truth Gauhar, denying it would only weaken you into deluding yourself. When Altamash proposed that he wants to get married to you, I was against the idea. In fact I had declined it as soon as Ahmed had suggested it for the first time when I was at the hospital."

"Then what made you change it?"

"Your husband did." He nudged me with his shoulder, and the word sent a weird feeling through my body, I realised that it was discomfort. I still couldn't believe that I was married to someone now, and the thought that it was a man like him sent shivers of unease through me.

He easily made you believe a lie he had created and I couldn't help but think that what he had told my father was under a mask of sincerity fooling him into thinking that he was the right person for me.
