Colby's POV
"Hey, Colby." I hear Amber say, but the only thing I'm really concentrating on is Sienna.
God. She's still as gorgeous as the day I remember her.
"Colby!" Amber tugs at my arm and I turn to look at her and smile.
"Hey, Amber." I say tentatively. I'm not exactly sure what Amber and I's relationship status is, but we are definitely more than friends.
"Oh, I found this while I was shopping. You know me, I have an addiction." She laughs and hands a velvet box to me. I open it to find a silver Gucci ring inside.
"Holy shit, Amber." I say, inspecting it. "You even got my size right!"
"After being a shopaholic for many years, I can figure out people's sizes just like that." She snaps her fingers as she says it and then smiles at me. "You'll soon learn a lot of things you don't need to know as a guy if you keep hanging out with me."
"I already have." I say, my focus completely on Amber now.
So what Sienna's here? It's probably temporary, and that week that we had in Kansas was years ago, and she never even tried to reach out to me.
But I'd be lying to myself if I didn't say that her being here stirred up a lot of feelings and memories.
Sienna
He gives me a flirtatious grin and continues to work his charm. For the past 30 or so minutes, he has totally sucked me in and I haven't even looked in Colby's direction.
Is that a good thing?
"So, what brought you to California? Your brother?"
"No, I actually got signed by a record label. For singing. I'm supposed to be dropping a new album sometime in the future, and I knew that it would be a lot more convenient to live here than have to constantly go back and forth between here and Kansas." I say, leaning on the bar. He glances behind me for a moment before looking back at me.
"That's really cool. I actually did a little bit of music. I was a rapper."
"Really? If you still are into that, maybe I'll find a song for us to do together." Oh God. That sounded flirty. Maybe a little too flirty.
But he just smiles and says, "Yeah. That would be pretty cool." He takes his phone out of his pocket and hands it to me. "Here. Put your number in. Then we can talk more about it."
This guy was pretty slick. I put it in and hand it back to him. He looks at it and smiles. "Awesome. We should talk soon. I'll see you later." He walks away and I stare after him like a complete idiot.
If these are the kinds of guys that live in Los Angeles, I might accidentally fall in love with every single one of them.
