Chapter 116: Owner of the Frost

The whole forest was filled with echoes of the song, passing through trees and leaves and reaching as far as they could, waking up animals that were supposed to be sleeping, and the crickets and owls didn't stand a chance to the rhythmic tune of their chanting.

He let himself drop on the ground with a gentle force, thinking of all the hopes that ended him up here. At last, almost being drowned in despair, he finally met up with his own kind.

"I-I'm… I'm glad… y-you're all fine…" He said between his tears and cracked voice, wiping it up with his bandage skin, but still, more tears kept coming out. "I-I thought… I don't have a home… to return to anymore…"

Remembering the tragic incident, with the flames devouring his whole town and those who are in it, and the black blood of his comrades splattering all around the streets, he was glad that the people of Atlan are alright.
