"To outplay a man in poker is to own him in mind, wallet, and soul." - Joey Fiore, World Series of Poker champion.
Have you ever dreamed of becoming a millionaire overnight? It was the start of the poker boom and that was the dream of millions of poker players all over the world. All types of geniuses, gamblers, and hustlers flocked to poker rooms with ambitions of making it big. Follow Joey, a teenager with the special ability of an empath, as he rises to challenge the greatest poker players in existence.
Empath: someone with the abnormal ability to experience the thoughts and emotions of others. (*This is a real life ability.)
*Like other sports or game novels, you don’t need to understand poker to enjoy this novel. It’s written in a reader-friendly manner. While I’ll introduce poker basics at a gradual pace in the background, the focus will be on thrilling competitions and dramatic aspects that everyone can relate to.

Poker is not really entertaining if you watch it but this story makes it exciting. The mafia vibe, the pop culture references, and the flashbacks tie-up with the not so subtle explanations about poker. It's a very nice read, you would want to root for the MC and play poker yourself.
I don't like poker and have neither played it much. But this novel is still good because author somehow makes it so interesting and entertaining. I see a lot of potential in this story and if the author can increase his updation rate then it will easily reach higher ranking. I like the main character. Though one thing I feel confused about is why the MC can act verbally agressive with some people who are much stronger than him and are probably mobsters. Shouldn't he play safe, atleast until he's rich and powerful enough. But these things aside, I am enjoying this. I rarely read original novels and I'm thankful I found this. Good job, author.
Though I am still reading through the chapters. I highly recommend this book. The writing style is simple but descriptive when it needs to be. The main character is appealing from the start and the events have a great logical flow. I really hope the play of the game becomes more clear as I read on since I do not know the rules of the game. So far hasn’t been a problem with my reading experience. A great break from the usual novel concepts. Wish you all the best on completing your story.
The rules of poker is explained well, and the Characters have a good amount of communicating into it. I like how the book is going, and i feel like as it progresses i think it will be a good read.
This story is written nicely and I found myself thoroughly enjoying it. I'm adding this to my collection. God bless on your writing journey.
I don't read books that have to do with sports often, but this has been a refreshing experience. I like how the ******* is built throughout the scenes, and the characters are likable and fascinating. I hope this story goes far.
A unique story with an intriguing protagonist! Even if you're not a fan of poker, the protagonist's empathy feels like a superpower. Recommended!
Great Read so far. The story is compelling and well thought out. The main character has a backstory that makes his abilities convincing and also realistic. Great book so far thank you for writing, and keep up the good work!
Even if you are not familiar with poker, you are still going to enjoy this book and its storyline. The main character is interesting and the writing style is realistic and well rounded.
I love the use of words and also the introduction of characters was done smoothly. Although, in Chapter 6 it got a bit clunky. A good read if you all are interested in 'Art of Unknown' deal as in using the fact the opponent doesn't know what you gonna do next.
Excellent introduction and growth of the MC. I enjoyed how the scenes were set and how the MC interacted with the other characters. Chapter 6 felt like a bit too much information, but MC's cheat is simply op. I do admit his cheat fits his personality well, and I can imagine it being developed further in the future
Like Playing Poker?Like Watching Poker? This is a good choice of read.I've only read 2 chapters but i can say for sure that the writing qualitiy is good so try it i dont think you wont like the reading experience.
Hello everyone, author here! I just wanted to give you a quick idea of what this novel's about. I've wanted to write a story about poker for many years now. I feel it's a very exciting game and world with a lot of psychology and tactics, as well as a light side and a dark side. I started playing professionally at a high-level many years ago and parts of this story are based on my real-life experiences. I plan to show the rise of a poker player from poverty to playing with the best in the world, overcoming difficulties and opponents along the way. Like other sports or games novels, you don't need to understand poker to enjoy this novel. Over time I plan to include simple explanations in the story of real techniques and aspects of poker, starting out from the basics to the professional level, eventually highlighting opponents who specialize in various abilities, similar to the real world. So if you do play I'm sure you will gain a lot from it. However, I plan to write this novel in a reader-friendly way. Looking forward to your support! -Samsara With Words
As an advid fan of Texan hold e'm I got goosebumps while reading this. Some characters are strange but they make it so the MC has some laughs and he does learn a thing or two about poker. I await the next chapter with great anticipation.
