Chapter 7

*In the military hospital*. (Sigh). Looks like Sgt. Williams will punish me. I didn't make it to the 8th lap.

*Someone knocks at the door*. Come in.

*Vanessa enters the room*. Oh hey, Vanessa, what is for today? "Hey Private Pierson, today I will be collecting blood samples from you so we can run some test". Vanessa said while preparing her equipment. You know what, you can call me Private Jacob. Well, Sgt. Williams gonna be pissed off when I return to their platoon. "Don't worry the doctor has taken care of it and you won't get any scolding from Sgt. Williams". Vanessa said while taking blood from Jacob. Well, I don't know what to say but thank you, Vanessa. "No problem, after all, you still owe me a dinner right. Don't worry it's my treat, Jacob". Vanessa smiles. Whoa... Are you asking for a date? Are you serious, Vanessa? Man, I would love to go on a date with you. "Cool, well then see you later in the evening" Vanessa smiles.

*6 PM strikes* Oh this is gonna be a good evening for me. I can't really believe Vanessa ask me for a date. Fine up... Private Jacob is on fire today... (Phew)... That incident got me a good date with a nurse so beautiful and kind.

*Dress up my army uniform* Okay private, let's have some dinner.

*Exiting the hospital* Oh hey Vanessa, I mean miss beautiful. I smile at her as I walk closer to her. "Hey handsome, so where should we go, Private handsome" Vanessa smiles as she holds my hand. We could eat at a restaurant, a good steak and salad would fine for our lovely evening. "Oh, how sweet of you, well you don't have to fancy yourself for a restaurant, Jacob. Believe me, I'm okay with anything" Vanessa said as she leans on me while walking. Oh, well let's go to a McDonald then. "That would be lovely, Jacob". Vanessa smiles and we walk. As we are walking, we talk a lot of things about her and me and the army. (Sigh). I'm so happy I met her and she likes me like that. So I told her the truth why were I in the army and she listens. The nicest girl that I have ever met in my life is now my girl and my nurse. "So you were lonely back then when you were not still in the army? Well, I'm glad that you didn't end your life and continue to live on as you find your answer. I really like you, Jacob and I really do" Vanessa said as she smiles and hugs me tight. I really like you too, Vanessa and I are so much happy I met you in my life. Well, we'll take things slowly first, Vanessa if that's okay for you? "Wow, hehe. You are really a gentleman to me. Yes, I'm fine with that as long as we are together always until to the end, right Jacob?" Vanessa replies as she holds me dearly. Yes, of course, Vanessa. Together, (sigh) the best moment of my life. "Hehe, I love you, Jacob" Vanessa smiles and kisses me on the cheek. I love you too. So we arrived at the McDonald's, we ordered food and talk things about us, her life, her dream, and her wishes. (Sigh). Somehow this would be the best moment in my life, after all, I like being in the army for passion.

*We walked outside*. That was good food,. Well, let's go to the beachside where the moon shines bright at the sea. "That would be a lovely thing, Jacob" Vanessa smiles and hugs me. Yeah anyway, let's go, darling. So we walk out on the path to the beachside. While we were walking, we talk a lot of things about her family and her dream. The same dream that we were talking earlier but it does sound like she is a hummingbird because of her sweet voice so I listen and listen to her. That was a wonderful evening in my life.

"That was a wonderful night, Jacob. Well, let's call it a night. I gotta go because I gotta be early tomorrow for work. The doctor's appointment is in increasing so tomorrow would be a busy day for me. And for you my prince, I think you should rest well so that you can go back to the camp" Vanessa said and hugs me tightly. Ma'am yes ma'am. (Vanessa chuckles). Thank you for the evening. It's been a lovely evening with you, Vanessa. "You too, Jacob. So goodbye, tomorrow again, Jacob. Same time again, hehe" Vanessa smiles and kisses me on the cheek. Oh let me call a taxi for you.

*Calls a taxi*. Here's the taxi.

*Opens the door*. Here you go, Vanessa. Have a safe trip to your home. "Thank you, Jacob". Vanessa smiles and rode on the taxi and leaves.
