Chapter 49 -Extracurricular (2)

Team RWBYS in their dorm room. Blake is sitting with her arms crossed while looking at Shallot sitting next to her.

Blake: "Who was it?"

Shallot: "Who was what?"

Blake: "I can smell the scent of another female on you and it doesn't belong to anyone in this room."

Shallot eyes opened not thinking that Blake's nose was that sharp even after he had showered heavily.

Shallot leaned closer to Blake's ear so no one could hear what he was going to say.

Shallot: "Neo."

Shallot grabbed a flask out of his pocket while taking a drink since he usually keeps water on him and started chugging thinking that it tastes slightly off than mineral water he has before putting it back in his pocket.

After hearing that Blake's eyes went wide thinking about how could someone as small as Neo deal with Shallot and looked at Shallot wondering if Neo is even able to walk right now and how she is doing. If she is fine then Ruby would also be fine since Ruby is taller than Neo Ruby should be fine then.

Blake: 'This is good information I have now. Now there is another who can help in reigning him in somewhat.'

Blake leaned towards his ear.

Blake: "So you don't need anymore release?"

Shallot: "You're still not getting away my naughty black cat."

Weiss: "Can you two stop flirting in front of everywhere else and where have you been Shallot?"

Shallot reached out for Ruby and pulled her towards him and sat her on his lap and wrapped his arms around her. Ruby's face turned red but didn't try to fight it.

Shallot: "Well my icy companion. I was out gathering information about why the White Fang is in Vale and hitting up dust shops all of a sudden and have been making sure that all the information checks out."

Yang: "By going and talking to the guy directly behind everything?"

Shallot: "Do you mean Roman... Naw he isn't the one behind everything. He's just working with the person that's behind everything."

Weiss: "So you know what is going on? Then tell us already."

Shallot: "Naw. That wouldn't be any fun. We need to work on you alls detective skills. What will you do if we got split up one day and you need to use your head to figure out what is going on besides I have already a plan put together so don't even worry about it."

Blake had a mini flashback thinking back to her days in the White Fang and shuddered slightly knowing that if Shallot has a plan then it won't be quiet.

Ruby was feeling warm and protected like she was in a giant teddy bear and started dozing off slightly before Yang poked her cheek stirring here awake and started blushing again.

Weiss: "Can't you let Ruby go now?"

Shallot: "No I can't. She's too adorable to let go."

Yang: "So if we are supposed to be detectives and think about what we already know.

Ruby: "Thanks to Blake and Sun, we know they're operating somewhere outside of southeast Vale."

Weiss: "And, the Schnee company records singled out Vale as the primary target for Dust robberies over the last few months."

Yang: "Don't forget about their missing military tech too."

Blake: "But there are still unanswered questions! Like why is Ruby being held like a teddy bear."

Shallot: "That isn't important right now."

Shallot's face was slightly red but only Blake noticed it.

Weiss: "Besides team CFVY's away mission lasted longer than expected."

Yang: "So, Weiss and I were asked to pick up where they left off. And now we can make sure you have the perfect night."

Weiss: "And once it's all over, we'll return for our search, rested and ready."

Ruby: "So what do ya think? Is it a good plan?"

Shallot rubbed his cheeks against hers.

Shallot: "That sounds like a great plan I'm proud of you."

Weiss: "Isn't he a lot more... affectionate than usual?"

Something hits the ground and slides in front of Blake.

Blake leans over and picks up what was dropped and realizes that it is a drinking flask. Blake opens it and notices that it has an incredibly strong smell that lets someone knows that it is really potent.

Blake: "It seems that Shallot is drunk. Ruby will probably be stuck with him until morning if we can't sober him up. I'll head out to the store to see if there is anything that will help sober him up and if not at least get something that will help with the hangover he is going to have."

Blake walks out of the room making sure she has her scroll and her card.

Ruby: "What am I supposed to do about this then? I can't stay like this all night."

Shallot in his drunken stupor kept a tight hold on Ruby while Yang was taking pictures with her scroll so when Shallot isn't drunk he can see how he was.

There's a knock at the door and Weiss approaches and opens it. Jaune appears at the door with a guitar.

Jaune: "(singing) Weiss!"

Weiss slams the door in his face.

Shallot: "That was cold."

Jaune: "(from behind the door) Oh, come on, open the door! I promise not to sing."

Weiss opens the door.

Jaune: "(singing) I lied! Weiss Schu-nee, will you accompany me, to the dance on... Sunday!?"

Weiss: "Are you done?"

Jaune: "(shrugging) Yes?"

Weiss: "No."

She shuts the door in his face. Turning around, she sees the others staring at her.

Wiess: "What?"

Yang was standing precariously. While Ruby was looking while still blushing.

Yang: "And that is why they call you the Ice Queen."

Shallot started feeling sleepy and fell to the side while still holding onto Ruby making her fall over onto the mattress with him.

After another 1 hour and 40 minutes, Blake made it back with a grocery bag in her hand and looked at her bed seeing that Shallot was sleeping there with Ruby while Wiess and Yang were already in their beds with Yang facing towards Shallot and Ruby. Blake got into Shallot hammock thinking that it was really comfortable and felt that she was floating without any cares in the world.

Blake: 'Hold on... Shallot has a habit of playing with my body while we're sleeping hopefully he doesn't do it while he's drunk or else I don't think that tonight going to be as quiet as the others. She may have spoken too soon.

Shallot was still holding onto Ruby and his hands were started roaming her body.
