Chapter 130 - Reunion

Shallot was floating in the air with his semblance attracting the gravity toward him increasing it. He felt far heavier than anything he tried before but he was still able to move.

Shallot was punching out and going through the basics of the martial arts that he knew. Mainly the straight punch, jab, uppercut, left and right hook, and cross.

After working on his punches for 2 hours he went and started working on his kicks. He was doing front kicks, sidekicks, roundhouse kicks, and leg sweep in the air. After another 2 hours, he spent one hour working on combination attacks.

It had already been a couple of days since the tournament started and he and everyone else on their team felt it was disappointing. Blake wasn't allowed to participate by the nurse and Shallot.

Shallot has been working on his transformation every night. He would create the Powerball and use it in the Land of Darkness trying to revert while under the effect of the transformation.

He always enjoyed the Super Saiyan 4 look from when he used to play Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Whenever he would transform he would go and find Salem and test his combat skills in Great Ape form on Salem since she can't die.

What Shallot however doesn't know is that every night Salem is now on the lookout for a sudden appearance of a Giant Ape due to her constantly being sent flying across the Land of Darkness.

She could tell that the Ape was just doing it because it knows that she can't die so it comes back just to bother her. She doesn't know why it keeps targeting her. She doesn't want to move since she had already started rebuilding her base and it took her years to build the current one.

It had been 4 days so far and they were down to the semi-finals. Their team hadn't taken any damage from the other teams and it was pretty much a sweep.

It was so much of a sweep that Ruby, Weiss, and Shallot sat in the middle of the arena playing cards while Yang beat down the other team before throwing them out of the ring. It got to the point that Yang handicapped herself by not throwing punches and only used her legs.

[With Ruby]

Ruby was walking toward the grave of Summer. Her dad had called her and Yang to come here but Yang decided to stay. Ruby wanted to know why he wanted her to come here but he just said that it was a surprise.

When she got to the place she usually goes to visit her mom's grave someone was sitting right next to the grave with their back to her. Their silhouette was outlined by the setting sun. The person seemed to be not that tall, but they were a couple of inches taller than Ruby.

They had a white hood that was similar to the one Ruby wears. Ruby was feeling a sense of warmth from the person in front of them and the picture of Shallot next to her mom went through her head.

"Mom?" Ruby said with a cracked voice.

The person sitting beside the tombstone spoke.

"I never thought that there would be a day when I would sit next to my own tombstone." The person turned to Ruby showing their face while lifting their left hand lowering their hood.

Underneath the hood was Summer who was looking at her little girl that had grown up. She had seen some of the pictures at the house but seeing her daughter in person was more joyful.

"How are you doing my little Ruberry?" Summer asked Ruby who had tears in her eyes.

Ruby turned into a burst of petals before rushing toward Summer then hugging her.

"Mom!!!" Ruby cried out in happiness seeing that her mom was fine.

When she was told by Shallot that she was alive but he didn't know where she was she wanted to go search for her. The only problem is that she didn't know where she would go look. Shallot told her after that she would be fine and that she would most likely have headed back to their house. She just had to travel a long way to get there.

"I hope that you have been doing good my little Ruberry? I also hope that my little sunshine Yang is doing fine also." Summer said feeling warmth spread through her chest.

Summer was finally able to hug her little girl again. The only thing that is missing now is a family hug with all of them together.

"So how is Beacon?" Summer asked her little Ruberry.

" Haven't gotten kicked out of Beacon yet! So that's cool. I think being on a team with Yang helps. Keep her in line... That was a joke. She's actually a really great fighter! You can tell she's learned a lot from Dad! Oh, so are Weiss, Blake, and Shallot. Oh! They're my teammates! Together, we form Team RWBY!" Ruby started talking fast trying to recount her entire life with Summer nodding her head.

"And yes, before you ask, that does cause a lot of confusion. Anyways, I made a bunch of new friends, and then I met some... let's just say, uh, odd teachers. Oh! We've also stopped some bad guys too! I guess it's like they say: "like mother, like daughter"!

I still wonder why Ozpin let me into the school early. But uh, I guess he'll tell me one day. You know how he is. It's funny, the more I get to know him, the more he's starting to sound like Uncle Qrow.

Me, Yang, and my teammate Blake also has a boyfriend now and it's Shallot. I saw the picture of you two together and he told me that you were fine but it would take you a while to make it back to dad at the house. " Ruby finally explained everything that she could think of at the time.

Ruby had to get back to the finals since they had one more match for today. While Summer had her eyebrow twitching hearing that Ruby and Yang were sharing the same boyfriend and she thought back to how she and Raven both fell for Taiyang.

'Like mother like daughter, I suppose.' Summer thought while imagining the yelling she's going to give to Shallot the next time she sees him.

A bark alerts her to the ever-adorable Zwei and the sight of her father, Taiyang Xiao Long, in the trees behind her.

"Did you like the surprise, Ruby?" Taiyang asked Ruby who was still smiling from talking with her mom.

Ruby nodded her head before walking back with Summer as they were both going to drop her off at Beacon for the match.
